At that time, the front desk enthusiastically gave an accommodation guide. I looked carefully the next day and found out that there were free coffee, tea and flying alcohol. Parking is free. There is also a sauna.

The hotel room is very comfortable. The bedsheets smell hygiene and good. I love the bathroom with beautiful bathtub 🛀. They provide very comfortable bathrobes by default. Their service is excellent. Can ask for extra still water and standard stuff without charging. I would definitely wanna book the same hotel if I am in Munich. Location is just next to the main interchange train station with direct ride to Munich Airport.

Our stay at the Maritim was disappointing from the moment we arrived. First, the hotel should not advertise the room as having air conditioning. It uses a fan coil unit that only reduced the temperature by around three degrees, leaving our room at approximately 29°C. In hot weather, that is simply not enough. The check-in experience was also one of the least welcoming we have had. Before asking about our journey or checking whether the room might already be available, we were immediately told that check-in was at 3:00 p.m. The parking information was equally poor. The advertised price was €16.50 per night, but we were charged €20. We were simply told to drive around the block and use the garage, without any clear instructions or mention of the direct access to the hotel. The check-in clerk also failed to explain that guests could receive a special parking ticket allowing them to enter and exit the garage during their stay. This should have been explained clearly at check-in and added to an already very poor arrival experience. The luggage storage arrangement did not feel secure. It was an open room where guests were expected to leave their bags and hope they would still be there later. Inside the room, the complimentary water was not replenished, and only instant coffee was provided. All the pillows felt low quality, while the mattress was far too soft and caused back pain. The overall design also feels firmly stuck in the 1980s, with a heavy use of gold and brass. There were a few positives. The shower was excellent and had a digital temperature display, which was a very nice feature. We also appreciated having a proper desk with a swivel chair and an additional chair, which made the room more practical. Unfortunately, these positives were not enough to make up for the uncomfortable temperature, poor bedding, misleading parking price, insecure luggage storage and unfriendly, uninformative check-in experience.

Overall, we had a great stay at WunderLocke Munich. The location was convenient, with easy access to public transport and nearby supermarkets, making it a good base for exploring the city. The studio was modern, comfortable, and very well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. Having a fully equipped kitchenette and all the essential amenities made it feel like a home away from home. The only downside was that when we first checked into our room, there were quite a lot of insects inside, which was not a pleasant first impression. Fortunately, the rest of our stay was enjoyable. Overall, I would still recommend this hotel for its comfortable rooms, convenient location, and excellent facilities.

This is a decent 4-star hotel located in Garmisch. It was 7 min walk from train station. There was a kebab shop and an icecream restaurant right next to and across it. Dm drug store, supermarkets and more restaurants are within minutes of walking distance. Breakfast was buffet-style. There were a couple of staffs at breakfast and they were amazing. They would ask what kind of coffee and eggs you like for the day, and their service was quick and polite. Choices of food was more than sufficient, with croissants and rolls, toaster available, smoked salmon, a wide variety of spreads, ham, cheese, fruit juices, vegetables, cereals, milk/skimmed milk/soy milk/oat milk, more than 10 types of tea……. 4-5 pm is tea-time. The sitting room was elegant and spacious, which makes you feel calm and at home, with some background soothing music. You can read the papers or choose a book from the shelf there. There was also a small pool, steam and sauna, which were all delightful and relaxing, esp if it was raining and cold on some days. My room has a balcony which faces the mountains. It was spectacular and stunning to enjoy this view at dawn and dusk. Staffs were friendly and helpful. There was one gentleman, in shirt and tie every day ( who happened to have injured his leg and wore an orthosis and crutches to work) displayed exceptional kindness and passion in his job. He offered help and a lot suggestions spontaneously whenever I asked questions and told me “it is why I am here!”

For a hotel located by the lake with a relatively high rating, I naturally expected a comfortable and reasonably spacious room with a nice lake view. However, I booked a single room and was honestly very disappointed upon entering. The room was extremely small, the bed felt cramped, and the ceiling was very low due to the sloped roof which means I couldn’t even sit upright on the bed comfortably. Even worse, there was no proper view through the window at all. The window was tiny, making the room quite dark, and it didn’t face anything pleasant. The photos on the website were also quite misleading and did not match the actual room I received. For a room priced at around €150 per night, this kind of space and condition feels unreasonable. To be fair, the facilities in the whole are fairly good. There is a wellness area, a gym, and a restaurant with great food and a nice view. However, the restaurant is also quite expensive, and breakfast is not included and must be paid separately. Given the pricing, I don’t think these aspects deserve excessive praise. What really matters is the room itself. Paying €150 per night for a room of about 15 square meters, with an average ceiling height of less than 2.2 meters and a very tiny window facing other’s balcony, honestly made me feel misled. In my opinion, the room quality does not match the price at all.

The hotel is conveniently located right across the road from the train station, and it's only a 15-20 minute walk to the old town. The front desk staff was a bit arrogant, and they required a credit card pre-authorization. Luckily, this hotel is on the main road. If I had turned onto a side street to stay at another hotel, I noticed many groups of Black people, which made me feel a bit unsafe. Breakfast was very mediocre, completely below a five-star standard, and even worse than some four-star hotels!

The hotel’s location is excellent, especially for travelers planning day trips, as it is conveniently located near the train station. The staff were warm, friendly, and helpful throughout our stay. Unfortunately, the air conditioning did not work properly during the first two days of our stay. We were given a fan and informed that the hotel was already aware of the issue because other guests had reported it as well. Although we were told the problem would be fixed, we did not notice much improvement. Initially, we assumed the unusually hot weather in Europe was the cause. However, after staying in hotels in two other countries, we realized the problem was specific to this property. The hotel appears to be showing its age, and some facilities could benefit from refurbishment. Overall, the convenient location and excellent staff were definite highlights, but the malfunctioning air conditioning had a significant impact on our experience. Since we usually returned to the hotel exhausted after long days of sightseeing, we were looking forward to resting comfortably. Unfortunately, the temperature in the room remained uncomfortably warm, which made it difficult to relax and get a good night’s sleep.
