After comparing several hotels, we finally chose this one, and it exceeded our expectations! The value for money is outstanding. Firstly, the location is perfect – peaceful yet central. Just 100 meters to the left is the Twin Pagodas scenic area, and Elephant Trunk Hill is only about 1 km away on foot. What really stood out were the excellent hotel facilities and service quality. My child actually loved staying in the room and napping for two afternoons straight (though adjusting to the time difference after returning home also played a role). My child is very particular about hotel stays, so her satisfaction is rare; in Shanghai, she only stays at The Puli Hotel. The hotel's dining was incredibly impressive. Upon check-in, we received a complimentary local specialty, Beer Fish (valued at 98 yuan). The ingredients were fresh and it was deliciously prepared – fantastic! We ended up ordering all our subsequent meals from the hotel restaurant. I checked, and the hotel restaurant ranks number one locally on Dazhong (Dianping)! Highly recommended! This is the king of value-for-money hotels in Guilin!

We chose LS Hotel in Yangshuo as the final stop of our first trip to China after visiting Shanghai and Guangzhou, and I honestly cannot think of a better way to end the trip! We didn’t really know what to expect and booked it mainly because of the reviews, but it ended up being even better than we imagined. From the moment we landed, everything felt effortless. They sent a driver in a spacious, comfortable car to pick us up, and as soon as we arrived, the staff greeted us so warmly and took us straight to our room in Building Two. The views… I don’t even know how to describe them properly. Just walking into the lounge and seeing the scenery outside literally took our breath away. And somehow, the views from the room were even better. Every angle looked like something out of a movie. It almost didn’t feel real.
The room itself was beautiful and the bed was incredibly comfortable, which made it so easy to relax and just take everything in. The breakfast buffet had plenty of amazing local and western options. What really made the stay unforgettable though was the staff. Lynn and Reina were absolutely amazing. They were so kind, so responsive, and genuinely cared about making our experience perfect. Anytime we had a question, they replied within seconds and helped us with everything from activities to recommendations. They brought us the most delicious cake to our room.
One of the biggest highlights was the complimentary 30 minute photography session they arranged for us with Cai Cai. I went in thinking it would just be something simple, but I was honestly blown away. The photos were insanely good, like they looked edited and professional, but they were actually raw and untouched. She even shared all of them with us, which made it even more special.
The area itself is incredible too. There is so much to do, so many beautiful spots to explore, and amazing food everywhere. It was the perfect mix of relaxing and having things to do.
I truly loved this place and I already can’t wait to come back.

The hotel is new and the service is excellent. It's very convenient, and they even thoughtfully provided disposable bath bags and toilet seat covers. Downstairs, you're right by the river, and next to a night market with street food and a pedestrian street. You absolutely have to try the complimentary wheat bran hair wash – it seems to be a specialty of Liuzhou, with hair salons everywhere. I paid extra for the family combo, which was incredibly comfortable and great value for money. The travel photos turned out amazing, highly recommended!
The family room was on the 2nd floor. I thought for such a high price, we'd get a higher floor with a river view, but the upside was that the kids' ball pit was right outside the door, and my child had a fantastic time.
The floor-to-ceiling windows at the 12th-floor bar and the outdoor balcony at the 13th-floor restaurant offer a great view of the musical fountain at night, helping you avoid the crowds downstairs. The only downside is that the hotel gets busy, and the restaurant is a bit small, so there were no tables available during breakfast peak hours. If I get the chance to visit Liuzhou again, I'll definitely stay at the Wyndham.
Gulong Stay Review ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4/5)
I recently stayed near Gulong Canyon and had a wonderful experience overall. The area is surrounded by lush green mountains and rivers, so the views are absolutely stunning, especially in the early morning with mist in the valley. The accommodation was clean, comfortable, and had a rustic charm that fit the natural setting.
The main attraction — the glass bridge and skywalk — was breathtaking (and a little scary if you’re afraid of heights). Staff were friendly and helpful, though English was limited, so having a translation app helped. Local food was fresh and tasty, especially the river fish dishes.
One tip: bring comfortable walking shoes and be prepared for some steep climbs. It’s best to visit on weekdays to avoid heavy crowds.
Would I come back? Definitely — especially to enjoy more hiking trails and maybe try the zipline next time.
1) This hotel is literally situated on the China-Vietnam border. From my room window, I could see Vietnam, and the front desk even warned me that if I had an iPhone, it might pick up signals from the neighboring country and my time zone could change. The rooftop observation deck offers an even better view of the border scenery, encompassing both Dongxing in China and Mong Cai in Vietnam.
2) When I booked on Trip.com, I specifically requested a non-smoking room, and the hotel front desk truly delivered! The floor and room were genuinely free of any secondhand smoke. Honestly, in a fourth-tier city in (what is arguably the world's number one country for secondhand smoke), this was a rare and pleasant surprise.
3) It's quite close to the Dongxing Port, just a 5-minute walk away.
If you want to experience the charm of a border town right from your room, and if you appreciate clean room facilities and fresh, natural air, I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The hotel's location is superb, offering a tranquil escape amidst the hustle and bustle, nestled by mountains and water, right next to Fubo Hill and the Li River. We were lucky enough to get an upgrade to a river view room, and the floor-to-ceiling window framed the river like a living painting. The service was excellent – warm, attentive, and prompt to respond to any request. The room was very clean, and the bedding was incredibly comfortable; after a tiring day of exploring, I slept soundly until morning. Not only did we rest well, but we also ate well. The breakfast spread was extensive, and the rice noodles were exceptionally delicious – I had two big bowls! The restaurant staff were also very welcoming. It's a shame the restaurant was booked for a private event, so we couldn't enjoy more of their delicious food. We truly felt at home here. As a parting gift, they gave us a beautiful and intricate Zhuang brocade display. I'd say it offers fantastic value for money. On our first day in Guilin, the hotel staff already won us over. I'll definitely choose this hotel again when I bring my family to Guilin in the future.

Facilities: The facilities are very new and comprehensive, and they even have robots delivering meals, which is incredibly thoughtful.
Cleanliness: It's very clean, which gives you peace of mind.
Environment: It's located right above MixC, making it convenient to go anywhere.
Service: Ms. Elva was patient and meticulous throughout, explaining everything wonderfully.
Guangxi Specialty ”Gongwenbao” Welcome Drink: So delicious! A must-try when in Nanning!
This trip was for a business trip. I stayed at the same place for the working days, but I decided to extend my stay by one more day before heading back, wanting to experience Nanning's tallest hotel. Shangri-La is a well-established brand; the first 5-star hotel I ever stayed in was a Shangri-La. I was pleasantly surprised this time after booking when a staff member, Ms. Elva, directly escorted me from the front desk to the Horizon Club lounge for VIP reception. She also upgraded my room type, giving me a more expansive view and greater comfort. During the reception, she gave me a Guangxi ”Gongwenbao” fruit tea and a bag of Luosifen! After entering the room, she meticulously explained how to use everything, which was very thoughtful and responsible!
It's a pity that I caught a cold and had a fever the day before checking in this time. Besides ordering takeout once and having breakfast the next morning, I didn't get to properly enjoy the other facilities, which is a bit of a regret. However, having regrets means there's a next time to make it perfect. I hope to have the opportunity to stay here again in the near future! 😊

This stay was a truly pleasant surprise! As soon as I entered the lobby, I noticed a subtle, pleasant scent. The room was exceptionally clean, not a speck of dust even in the corners, which made me feel very comfortable. What I loved most was the big bed; the mattress was just the right firmness, I just sank into it. The duvet and pillows were so soft, it felt like sleeping on a cloud. I slept soundly until morning, completely relieving my travel fatigue. The hotel's location is also super convenient – just a short walk to the subway station, making it easy to get to attractions and shopping areas. Taxis are readily available too. And the food scene around here is amazing! Downstairs, there's a snail noodle shop recommended by locals – the broth is delicious, the noodles smooth, and adding duck feet just takes it to another level. In the evening, you can explore the nearby night market for grilled oysters, sweet soups, old friend noodles… so much to eat, I couldn't try it all! The service was also incredibly warm; the front desk lady had such a sweet smile and proactively upgraded my room. All in all, this stay was incredibly comfortable, it felt like coming home. I'll definitely choose this place again next time I'm in town, and I highly recommend it to friends who, like me, prioritize cleanliness and comfort!

The service was excellent. The front desk staff saw that we had a child with us and thoughtfully moved us to a non-smoking room and even upgraded our stay. The bellhop not only helped with our luggage but also gave us a detailed overview of the hotel's amenities. When checking out, the lobby manager patiently looked after our bags. In short, the hotel staff's service was outstanding, very friendly, and enthusiastic – big thumbs up to them!
Secondly, the hotel's location is superb. It's right behind a bustling commercial area, which is incredibly convenient with a wide variety of shops and products – perfect for a shopping spree. The lobby is clean, bright, and has a pleasant aroma from the scented diffusers and fresh flowers. They also offer delicious fruit tea. The overall atmosphere is fantastic.
The room itself was also very satisfying. It felt quite modern with a unique layout and was spacious enough. The facilities are well-maintained. The gym is clean, tidy, bright, spacious, and well-equipped. The pool water was very clean and at a comfortable temperature. The bathroom has a separate wet and dry area, and the shower space was quite roomy. A housekeeper cleans the room daily.
Overall, the value for money is exceptional. If I had to choose again, I would definitely stay here. Highly recommended!

If 100 points is a perfect score for a hotel experience, I wouldn't hesitate to give 'Poetry & Faraway · Xiangshan Youyue Hotel' 200 points! This stay went far beyond 'exceeding expectations' – it was simply perfect.
The facilities are impeccable: The room was spacious and bright, with stylish and tasteful decor. The biggest surprise was the super-sized bathtub; bath time became the most enjoyable part of my day. The bedding was incredibly comfortable, and they even thoughtfully provided both soft and firm pillows to cater to different sleeping preferences – attention to detail at its finest! The restaurant is on the 9th floor, with a stunning outdoor pool just outside. Enjoying breakfast while admiring the beautiful view was pure bliss.
Smart and convenient: The room was equipped with a smart 'Xiaodu' speaker, making voice control incredibly convenient. Food deliveries were brought directly to our door by an adorable robot, which was both efficient and fun. There's also a self-service laundry room near the rooms, which is a lifesaver for long-term travelers.
But the service is truly the trump card: From the moment we checked in and added the butler on WeChat, we felt incredibly well taken care of. Any request we had was met with an immediate response and solution from the butler. What touched me most was an incident during breakfast today: an elderly person accidentally knocked over their tray, spilling food everywhere. The staff present didn't show any hesitation or displeasure; they rushed over immediately to comfort the startled elder, repeatedly asking if they were hurt, and swiftly and quietly cleaned up the mess. The entire process was filled with genuine concern. This kind of heartfelt kindness and professionalism is more precious than any luxurious facility.
It was raining when we checked out, and the front desk staff proactively offered us disposable raincoats. This constant thoughtfulness made our whole family feel incredibly warm. Even our child was clamoring, ”I don't want to go to the next stop, I just want to keep staying here!”
This wasn't just a stay; it was an experience filled with warm memories. We will definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality, heartfelt accommodation!

WWangwangxiaolibaobaoThis hotel truly lives up to its recommendations! Even on a weekday during the off-season, there were quite a few people. The hotel environment is simply exceptional, and what's more, the dining is impressive – both the afternoon tea and breakfast exceeded expectations! The lobby doubles as a cafe and restaurant, offering views of the pool and Yulong River, plus the mountain scenery. Why bother going to another cafe when everything you need is right here at the hotel?
We arrived directly at the hotel entrance via a bamboo raft from the Yulong River scenic area. There are also plenty of restaurants nearby, including one with an incredibly delicious beer fish. The room was absolutely fantastic, with two large floor-to-ceiling windows facing the mountain and pool, offering a superb view. You can step right out to the pool for a swim, making it very relaxing. Although the weather wasn't great, the misty, cloudy day actually added a unique charm. The toiletries were Acqua di Parma, and the scent was lovely, which shows the hotel's thoughtfulness. Hot water was instant, no waiting needed. Definitely a hotel worth revisiting!

GGuest UserHad a fantastic experience! The hotel's facilities are on par with a five-star in Beijing, and it's fully smart-controlled. The service was also excellent. The location is truly unbeatable – right outside your window is the starting point for the bamboo raft漂流 on the Ten-Mile Gallery, and the Gongnong Bridge is just steps away, putting you right in the heart of the Ten-Mile Gallery. Every step offers a beautiful new view, like a stunning traditional Chinese ink painting. It's breathtaking! I originally planned to stay only one night, but because of the amazing location and cleanliness, I ended up staying for four days straight. Excellent value for money, highly recommended!

YYidanchichichiStayed in a room with a river view right by the Li River in Yangshuo, and there's even a helipad... The hotel has a pool, and on the ninth floor rooftop, there's a 'Sky Mirror' with panoramic views of the Li River – perfect for photos! We stayed in a two-story duplex. The room has a modern minimalist style, with large floor-to-ceiling windows that let in plenty of light. All the disposable amenities are well-stocked, and the room is very smart. You can see the Li River as soon as you open the window, and it's just a ten-minute walk to West Street! The hotel breakfast is also very rich, featuring Guilin rice noodles and oil tea. The hotel's location is super convenient; it's easy to get anywhere. You can just hop on an e-scooter and head to West Street or Yulong River!
MMeilituolihongzhangHaha, this is the tallest hotel I've ever stayed in! I didn't even know Marriott had this luxury hotel brand before. The overall experience was great. The swimming pool isn't huge but it's very cozy, and the kids absolutely loved it. We really liked the fragrance in the 80th-floor lobby. We even asked the butler about it, and it turns out it's Luberon Black Tea diffused by a scent machine. Apparently, they even adjust the amount based on the room size, which is quite thoughtful! 😄 The convenient transportation goes without saying, and our favorite Lei Kee restaurant isn't far away. Butler Berenda was also very attentive and responsive. I'd definitely stay here again if I get the chance! 😊

LLonglong1025After comparing several hotels online, we finally chose Cloud Hotel. We had a lot of luggage traveling with elderly and children, and as soon as our taxi pulled up to the entrance, a staff member immediately came to help us with our bags and brought them to the lobby. The lady at the front desk who checked us in was super nice and thoughtful. Seeing that we had a child, she upgraded us to a super spacious family room and even helped us take our luggage to the room. The upgraded room had a small tent and plush toys, which made my daughter so happy she didn't want to leave. The whole room's setup was incredibly thoughtful; the kids' slippers had cute cartoon designs, and the toothbrushes, toilet seat, and stool were all convenient. I was particularly pleased with how quickly the staff always addressed our needs; the service was incredibly efficient and attentive. Furthermore, the breakfast was also very satisfying, with a rich variety of both Chinese and Western options and exquisite dishes that both the elderly and children enjoyed.

GGuest UserThe rooftop restaurant view is absolutely breathtaking! It's like a landscape painting outside the window. You *must* try the bamboo chicken and beer fish – they're incredibly tender and flavorful, even the soup is delicious when mixed with rice. Enjoying authentic local cuisine while soaking in the scenery really elevates the whole vacation experience! The hotel also offered a photoshoot which turned out great, and the photographer was very patient. I'll definitely be back!

GGuest UserAtmosphere: Absolutely stunning, you could spend all day just gazing from the hotel's pool area or outside the lobby! It's incredibly beautiful.
Service: Impeccable as well. We received complimentary fruit and desserts upon check-in, and a thoughtful little treat was delivered to our room in the evening. The lobby also offers Luo Han Guo (monk fruit) and local tea.
Facilities: They have ping-pong, billiards, fitness equipment, and a swimming pool. It's perfect for relaxing and spending a few days at the hotel!
Improvements: If I had to nitpick, first, the faucet in the sink is a bit too close to the basin, and with high water pressure, there's always standing water around the edge. Second, the breakfast plates are quite heavy; it's hard to hold an empty plate with one hand for long. Perhaps they could consider lighter plates.
GGuest UserEven though the hotel has been open for a while, the facilities are in good condition, likely due to a renovation. I'd like to highlight the service: the security staff at the entrance and the proactive bellhops deserve five stars. The front desk was just average. Later, guest relations contacted me about some details, and I explained the situation – they were minor issues that just need improving. I also commend the guest relations department for their positive response after I raised the concerns. Shangri-La remains a highly recommended hotel brand, and I will definitely choose to stay at Shangri-La Guilin again on my next visit.
