But honestly, the room and the view are just on another level—literally breathtaking and beyond words. It’s been so hard to ‘move on’ from this experience! The hotel's location by the Two Rivers and Four Lakes is perfect – it's peaceful yet central. My room was window-facing, but it wasn't noisy at all. I booked a queen room and was pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a super king room. Upon entering, I was greeted by a lovely green view, which was such a delightful surprise. The hotel is relatively new, clean, and tidy, with great amenities like a smart assistant (XiaoDu), an electric bidet toilet, a heated towel rack, and a direct drinking water dispenser – fantastic value for money! The service was also very thoughtful; during my two-night stay, a butler handled my laundry daily. The downstairs restaurant served delicious food too. All in all, I was very satisfied with this trip; it definitely enhanced my Guilin experience.

Gulong Stay Review ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4/5) I recently stayed near Gulong Canyon and had a wonderful experience overall. The area is surrounded by lush green mountains and rivers, so the views are absolutely stunning, especially in the early morning with mist in the valley. The accommodation was clean, comfortable, and had a rustic charm that fit the natural setting. The main attraction — the glass bridge and skywalk — was breathtaking (and a little scary if you’re afraid of heights). Staff were friendly and helpful, though English was limited, so having a translation app helped. Local food was fresh and tasty, especially the river fish dishes. One tip: bring comfortable walking shoes and be prepared for some steep climbs. It’s best to visit on weekdays to avoid heavy crowds. Would I come back? Definitely — especially to enjoy more hiking trails and maybe try the zipline next time.

After a great time in Yangshuo, I stayed one night in Guilin and this hotel exceeded my expectations. The room had a really artistic vibe. After checking in, I asked the smart speaker to play some light music and then relaxed on the picturesque balcony. It relieved a good chunk of my fatigue. Plus, the mountain view opposite the balcony and the blue swimming pool below were incredibly photogenic. Oh, and the bed was super huge, I think it was 2.4 meters! You could lie any which way you wanted. The front desk service was exceptionally thoughtful; they escorted us to our room and introduced everything along the way. The staff at the front desk were all very gentle and refined, perfectly matching the hotel's name, 'Poetry and Faraway Places'. Excellent.

After exiting the highway, it took us about ten minutes to reach the hotel by car. The hotel is centrally located, and the parking lot is in an alley directly opposite the hotel; just follow the signs to park. The hotel lobby is lovely, with excellent views. You can order a fragrant osmanthus latte at the lobby cafe, relax, take some photos, and check in. During the holidays, the front desk staff, as well as all other staff members (including housekeepers and restaurant staff), were incredibly busy but remained enthusiastic and patient, attending to every detail. They even gave us a small souvenir gift after check-out. If I ever visit Guilin again, this hotel will definitely be my first choice.

They went above and beyond by helping us arrange activities, tours, and transportation to all the places we wanted to visit around Yangshuo, which made our trip smooth and stress-free. From start to finish, the hospitality was exceptional. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Yangshuo — we would gladly stay here again!

Downstairs, you can rent a car for 30 yuan and return it before 8 PM. It's also very close to nearby attractions and restaurants. This is my second time visiting Yangshuo; the first time, I stayed near West Street. My husband said for the second visit, we absolutely had to stay somewhere with good scenery and a great environment. For the current stay, around 300 yuan is quite affordable.

There's a massive floor-to-ceiling window that perfectly frames the karst mountains and the entire rice paddy field right before your eyes – it's like a living painting. On a sunny day, the mountains and water are stunningly clear and so refreshing to look at. On a rainy day, it's misty and foggy, making you feel like you're floating in the clouds. I could just curl up in bed and watch the clouds drift over the mountains all day long, never getting bored! It’s such a perfect place for a getaway. And the infinity pool… the views are just breathtaking! Being surrounded by mountains while you're in the water makes swimming feel like a true vacation. In the evening, when the sunset hits, the water shimmers golden. Any photo you take turns into an atmospheric masterpiece. The hotel also offers afternoon tea, which starts at 2 PM and has a great variety of pastries and snacks.
