Pet Friendly Hotels in Penang, Malaysia

This was my third time staying here, and I’m happy to say the property is still very well maintained. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and the overall stay experience has been consistently pleasant each time I visit. Another great advantage is the location, there are many restaurants and eateries within a short distance from the hotel, making it very convenient to find good food. During this stay, I tried a Japanese restaurant nearby and it was really good. I would definitely recommend giving it a try if you’re staying at Citadines Tanjung Tokong Penang. Looking forward to coming back again in the future!

A very nice hotel with spacious rooms, right by the sea. It's about a 10-15 minute taxi ride to the city center. This time, our room even had a washing machine, so my mom didn't have to worry about our clothes getting smelly in the summer anymore! **Environment:** Great. The restaurants nearby are also affordable and serve delicious food. **Facilities:** Quite new.

Great hotel, I got a really good deal through trip. Free hot and cold water on each level, free coffee in the lobby and Citadines Van has destinations at set times. I also found the bike for hire pretty good 10myr for half a day. Decent way to get around and get a little exercise. The pool facilities are beautiful, relatively short (~10m) but decent for a few laps and sitting under the water feature is like a free massage. The staff are great, very friendly, smiles all round with a doorman to open the door. Google says this is a 3 star hotel but it is certainly not. It’s a strong 4 star in my opinion. Rooms are nice, bed is comfy, service is good. The only drawback worth mentioning is the gym facilities are lacking, treadmill, bike and elliptical for some cardio. Dumbbells and a bench would go a long way to making this is very usable gym. There’s a good gym nearby and the money saved on coffees and bottled water can pay for gym admission. I also found a great restaurant (hummingbird cafe & dining) just around the corner from this hotel which became a frequent for me as the meals were tasty and healthy.

Traveling with family, the room size was adequate, and the facilities were comprehensive. Although we didn't get a corner room as requested, it was quiet enough, so our rest was satisfactory. The clothes rack couldn't be removed for separate use, which was a bit inconvenient. There was no bottled water in the room, but there was a water dispenser in the hallway. The hotel had a pool, but we didn't use it. The location was great, with two shopping malls a short walk away, making it easy to buy things. It was also not far from the '7th Street Pasar' (market). Most attractions were within walking distance, and taxis were readily available.

I found the place by chances but it was the best decision. Our initial booking on Airbnb was cancelled by host last minute. My boys loved the amenities...pool, ping pong table, dart etc. The atmosphere was cool and nice. My husband loved that there is parking in the premises. I loved the bed. After a long drive I fell asleep like a baby. The unit is spacious and airy. It has netflix! Loved it and from now on this place will be our choice in Penang island.

This is really an excellent place to stay. The rate is very reasonable. The apartment was clean and the amenities provided were good. The apartment was spacious. The location is superb with the Penang Bridge a short distance away. There are many restaurants all around as well as food courts.

Velamundl was my favorite hotel during this trip, perfectly embodying the poetic imagery of 'facing the sea, with spring blossoms blooming.' This hotel has a rich history, dating back to the British colonial era. The current decor respectfully preserves its original vintage charm, maintaining a 'repair-as-is' approach rather than overtly modernizing. If you're a fan of retro Nanyang style, this hotel is an absolute must-stay. The surroundings are equally captivating. You can take a leisurely stroll to Miami Beach (pictured in image four), where you'll find a less crowded, long stretch of sand to enjoy the island scenery all to yourself. Alternatively, for just a few dollars (around ten yuan), you can take a taxi to the famous Batu Ferringhi Beach to watch fireworks and traditional sparkler displays. If you've grown tired of the old town's sights, I highly recommend giving this place a try.
