THE PICTURE SHOWN IS NOT SAME AT ALL.THEY EDIT THE PICTURE. IN REAL LIFE IT IS VERY SHABBY, OLD,DIRTY. The worst hotel ever. The price should be below RM50 because the picture shown is not same at all. The room was sooo ugly, the furniture is old, NO TV, only tiny shampoo and soap given, towel is torn, the bedsheet smelly and have dirty stain on it. MIND YOU THERE IS NO LIFT TILL LEVEL 5. YOU NEED TO WALK UPSTAIRS. With this kind of price, trust me it’s not worth it at all.

This place is located within a stone throw away from all the tourist spots (Armenian Street, Kimberley Street, Chulia Street, Love Lane and Little India). Hotel has an archaic and rustic setup as it was an old goldsmith shop dated back in the 40s and it has its own goldsmith showcase in the hotel. It is a Pet Friendly Hotel. There is cafe at the lobby which serves breakfast til dinner. If you enjoy the heritage setting, this would be perfect choice for a stay.

Although the photos and reality were different, the window-less rooms were still adequate for comfortable staying. We stayed for 3 nights in a level 4 deluxe double room and level 3 double room, all ensuite with bathrooms. Due to the lack of exhaust fans and windows, the internal bathrooms can cause dampness and a smell but that was ok for us. A pet friendly Guesthouse (many of our neighbours had dogs but they were very quiet and well managed). Now managed by 3 service staffs who do everything. A retro but working games machine at the ground floor was a delight for my kids. Free laundry & dryer and a simple fitness corner are useful amenities. The highlight is actually the location of this guesthouse - within walking distance, there are numerous dim sum outlets, night time street foods, noodles shop, bakery and a sports bar just across the road. Will stay again, anytime, for my next visit.
