Perfect layover hotel, so close to terminal A, only about 8 minutes in the free shuttle they provided the room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Dinner was really good, especially the springbok carpaccio!
I’d recommend it to anyone needing to be near the airport.

The staff is amazing ❤️, the hotel is very clean and as well, the location is absolutely convenient, no need for uber to the airport, just 10 minutes walk inside the airport, however , there were no sleepers😩😩had to wear my sneakers after leaving a shower 🤣🤣 … no bottled water to drink as well😩was so thirsty at night… but i will definitely come back again ,it’s a beautiful hotel and safe as well.. I give it an 8/10 …. I highly recommend

This hotel is near airport and good for overnight stay to catch flights.You could get the shuttle at the bus station near the airport. The frequency is hourly.
This hotel is near East Rand Mall. The counter staff told us that it is unsafe to walk across the street and advised us to take either Uber or hotel's van. If you are traveling in a group of 4 or more people, it is cheaper to get the hotel's van (80 rand one way) instead of Uber

Everything of Southern Sun or Tampo Int’l Airport hotel was good except that the room windows didn’t seemed to be able to close tightly. We could feel the draft which made our rooms cold. The heaters couldn’t work either.

The hotel is excellent, with a designer interior. There is a guarded parking lot for the car. The hotel has a spa, a pond and a swimming pool and much more. You can use the infrastructure. If you take a room with breakfast and dinner, then be careful, dinner for the room is 800 ZAR, breakfast for the room is 450 ZAR. If you take more than this cost, then you will have to pay extra! Wi-Fi works well, no problems. The only thing we missed in the room was slippers.

Excellent location. In and around the hotel, there are a lot of delicious restaurants. The highway is easily accessible. The bedroom was nice and tidy. Would return to stay there.

It was great to stay!
Very comfortable, clean and spacious than I expected. Especially, the breakfast was amazing. Had many options to take than I thought. Hot and cold foods and different kinds of cheese, breads, jams and even smoked salmon sashimi!
Also, they have upgraded my room into king bed room. The room was clean and big enough. Amenities were soap, body lotion and 3 in 1 bodywash(+shampoo and conditioner).
If you want to stay quiet room, I would recommend the 1st floor.
The parking in the basement made me feel more safe.
Definitely I'll recommend to others and will come back!

Very Good
GGuest UserUpon arrival, check-in at reception was smooth. We were provided with our room key and directed to our accommodation, which required us to drive to the other side of the estate. However, when we reached the room, the key did not work. We walked back to reception, where we were informed that a network issue had prevented the key from being properly programmed. The receptionist, who was very helpful, offered to accompany us to the room and opened it using a master key. She assured us that a functioning key would be delivered as soon as the network was restored.
Upon entering the room, we immediately noticed that it had not been cleaned. The window sill was sticky with what appeared to be beverage spills, the floor was dirty, the bathroom mats were not fresh, and most concerning, there were rat droppings on the window sill, on the floor behind the curtains, and behind the door. I contacted reception to request housekeeping and asked to speak with a manager, as the condition of the room was unacceptable. A housekeeping staff member arrived, but I requested that cleaning not proceed until the housekeeping manager assessed the situation. The manager quickly confirmed that the room had indeed not been cleaned and that there were clear signs of rodent activity. She apologised sincerely, asked us to wait while the room was cleaned, and said she would escalate the matter to the rooms division. While waiting on the terrace outside, we noticed a mouse in the bushes, which explained the droppings found inside.
After the room was cleaned, the manager returned, apologised again, and informed us that a complimentary bottle of wine had been arranged for us. We told her about the mouse we had seen and expressed that we did not feel comfortable staying in that room. She went back to speak with the rooms division, and we waited in the bar. An hour later, she returned with keys to a new room and directed us there. The replacement room was clean, though the entire experience made for a rocky start to our stay.
The following day, after breakfast, we returned to our room to find that the terrace doors had been removed and two maintenance staff were working. This came as an unexpected surprise, as no one had informed us that repairs would be taking place. We decided to return to the bar to allow the work to be completed. As we were celebrating a birthday that day, the housekeeping manager kindly arranged for our room to be decorated with a birthday message.
From that point onward, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay thanks to the exceptional customer service at the restaurants, bars, and spa. In particular, we would like to recognise Moses, Regal, and Tebogo at Kingsley Restaurant; Sibongile at Granatas; and Mandy at the spa for their outstanding hospitality. They truly made our stay memorable.
Overall, despite the challenges we experienced upon arrival, we had a lovely stay. Thank you to everyone who contributed to making my mother’s birthday special.

The Mint Hotel 84 gets the basics right with clean, comfortable rooms and friendly service staff. My room was a standard double with a queen bed, it had everything I needed including a desk, coffee maker, and good water pressure in the shower. The bed was fairly comfortable and the room was cleaned promptly every day. The breakfast spread in the dining area had a variety of options including cereals, toast, fruit, pastries, and eggs. The food was of average quality and freshness, nothing exceptional but sufficient to start the day. The service staff at the front desk and concierge were pleasant, helpful, and efficient whenever I had questions. They provided recommendations for restaurants and attractions in the area. The hotel has an outdoor pool and fitness centre, although I did not use the fitness centre during my stay. The hallways and public areas were well maintained and clean. The room was different from the picture that showed kitchen and couch in a separate room. Smaller room than you can think. And there was no slippers. But it was clean and convenient enough to stay. The facilities such as 24 hours of gym, not mandatory to wear swim suit in a pool plus hot zacuzzi were great.

Near Airport. Goto Bus Terminal to board the free shuttle from airport to hotel. Was served welcome drinks and luggage storage upon arrival. The hotel rooms are refreshed, newly painted. Comfortable beddings. We took the paid shuttle to and fro to the nearby mall while waiting to check in. Timing was great.

I had the best time just relaxing at the hotel . The staff were very friendly and because it was my birthday they upgraded my room and gave me free breakfast . I had an amazing time and I can’t wait to go back . Room services was also really great and the views were amazing .
