SSasha Stanthis hotel is by far the most excellent places located for a Gdansk trip in the old town. I had a couple of recommandations for food and I kid you not, eerything was 3 minutes away
The check-in was smooth, we had the nist important amenities, the umbrella.
While it's july the weather is quite bipolar.
We didn't try the breakfast option as specialty coffee places are a dime a dozen.
I can go on about the good things for this hotel, alas, nothing is perfect.
First room in the hotel smelled like a whole regiment had a running marathon and left the stinky shoes and socks in the locker for two days. I hope it paints a good picture, however reception wad kind enough to change the room.
While the room change helped, the smell still persisted, as such we made use of tbe windows (the room probably never smelled so good after we left).
By openning the windows, we exposed ourselves to the bane of everyone's existence, the bell's of hell that ring at all hours of the night and day, enough times to raise the dead and make them want to die again. Again, an issue most people might not have if they keep the windows closed, alas, there is a choice, old socks and trainers smell vs the reigning champion bell's of hell.
The choice is yours my dear reader.
Bonus points for the picture of Malbork castle that is an absolute must
AAnonymous UserOne of the most satisfied hostels I’ve stayed in Europe at such good price. 24/7 reception. Free water refill machine. Free good wifi. Separated male and female toilet and shower rooms (all in same floor tho), all-in-one shower gel(?) and hair dryers equipped. Many lockers on the floor (need to ask reception for the lock I think but not sure). New bed sheet, duvet sheet and pillow case provided. Very clean overall. Each bed has own x1 plug for charging and x1 reading light. View is amazing. Very good location (close to old town). Stunning view on rooftop (I didn’t upload the pics for the view tho), residents can get drinks there. Staff are very efficient and helpful, even the residents are really nice. The rooms and washroom/toilet are bright and spacious. Bins in each room. Restaurant right on G/F. AND the convenience store is just 1 min away. Kitchen with fridge, cups and utensils equipped, although the pan and pots are a bit old(?), I don’t need to cook anyway. Luggage storage available for residents. I feel very safe as a solo female traveler. I booked this only the night before but didn’t expect I would be this satisfied, what a good surprise to me. Making my experience here extra good.
YYeva_shineUnfortunately, our experience at Radisson Suites Gdańsk was disappointing. The staff felt quite unfriendly and even rude at times. Any request or small issue we asked for was met with zero willingness to help or find a solution. It honestly felt like there was no sense of hospitality at all, which was surprising for Poland, where people are usually much warmer.
The hotel itself is very standard, nothing special for a Radisson property. Since our room didn’t have a water view either, there was really nothing memorable or enjoyable about the stay. Overall, not a place I would choose again
GGuest UserAparthotel is in a suburb of Gdansk (Wrzeszcz) but next to the train station and 2 shopping malls makes it somehow convenient even for Gdansk (and Sopot) visits. The apartments are all tiny and small - like a ”tube”, Bathroom (shower) first, then fully equiped kitchen and Queensize bed (1,6m), most have balconies. There is NO TV (on requets potentially charged) or working desk but 2026 I'm fine with that: they have co-working areas and leisuer places where you can watch TV and work. Quite big Sauna (girls and boys seperately) is great (you need to ask reception to switch it on 30mins before you wonna use)
Parking is free outside in the street from 17-9, Saturday and Sunday (and holidays) all day free (easy to find) - in ca. 10min walkig distance is 24/7 free parking (easy to find)
NOTE Trip.com doesn't provide you with the needed self-checkincode and won't be able to help with AI-chat - just arrive before 22, there is a receptionist inside who will sooner or later come to assist you.... if you checkin only 1 person, you'll get only 1 key!
GGuest UserThe hotel is very conveniently located, which is definitely a plus. However, there are several issues that prevent it from truly living up to its five-star rating.
At check-in, we were not informed that parking was paid. As a result, after three days of stay, we were required to pay a rather significant amount at check-out, which came as an unpleasant surprise.
The rooms are generally comfortable and well equipped, but in the bathroom there were noticeable uncleaned areas and fingerprints on the faucets, indicating that housekeeping was not done thoroughly.
I would also like to specifically mention the breakfasts, which were a complete disappointment. From a five-star hotel belonging to an international chain, a very different standard is expected. The food was not fresh and appeared dried out (see photos), the selection did not change from day to day, there was almost no pastry, desserts were limited to just two items, and there were no vegetarian options at all, which seems strange for a hotel of this level.
GGuest UserConvenient location. Bus, tram, and train right on your doorstep. Lidl in the basement! Parking in the underground car park is easy, but the €11 price is a bit steep... but it's safe! Awesome breakfast! Highly recommended. The gym is showing its age, not bad, but not good either...
The only real drawback... the ladies who clean the rooms are ”very, very perfunctory.”
Otherwise, highly recommended!
VVivian tripThe hotel's location in the Old Town is fantastic, right next to the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, making it super convenient for exploring the Old Town. On the flip side, it's a bit of a distance from the train station, which could be tough if you're lugging suitcases, especially in heavy snow.
The breakfast selection was decent and quite tasty.
We were given a connecting room, and I specifically mentioned my concern about potential noise. Luckily, our neighbors were quiet, and we didn't hear a peep at night. The room itself was quite spacious, but I felt the chaise lounge took up valuable space. It would have been perfect if it were replaced with a small round table and two chairs.
There's a kettle in the room, but no complimentary water. I couldn't find a water dispenser on the second floor, and the one in the gym wasn't working. Other than that, everything else was great!
GGuest UserExcelente ubicación, habitacion grande y limpia, buenos servicios, buen desayuno, para volver.Muy recomendable es fantástico no duden en reservarlo.De 10.
김김끼라You could go downtown by tram or bus. However, the tram departure time was a bit long. Of course, you can walk downtown, but it takes about 30 minutes. The accommodation seemed a bit old and not that clean, but it was usable.
