Centrally located hotel that is next to tokushima station. Room is right sized and hotel staff are helpful.

Overall, it's pretty good. The location is excellent with many shops and restaurants nearby, plus a convenience store right downstairs. The front desk offers free facial masks. The rooftop onsen uses natural hot spring water. My only complaint is that the room is a bit small.

Cosy Ryokan walkable to Iya Valley Vine bridge although it may be steep at the entry/exit slope for elderly n those with mobility issues. The stay was comfortable and relaxing. Public bath was a little small but nonetheless enjoyable. Food wasn't luxurious but showcased their local seasonal eats. If you are driving and only staying overnight , I would suggest packing an overnighter and leaving the big suitcase in the boot as the poor staff will have to lug them up steep staircases to bring to your room. There is free coffee and also a vending machine next to lobby area. There is a small courtyard to chill after dinner and look at the stars after dark. The Futon can be a little thicker as those not used to sleeping on tatami may wake with a stiffer back. It's not a deal breaker though, will still recc the Ryokan if you are planning on staying in the area and enjoying the famous Japanese hospitality.

Smile Hotel Tokushima is a good choice for a short stay. The room is clean, simple, and easy to use, typical of a Japanese business hotel. It’s comfortable enough for resting after a long day. The breakfast is quite good, with a buffet style and a decent variety of options, including some local dishes, which makes it more enjoyable than a typical business hotel breakfast. The location is very convenient, just a few minutes from Tokushima Station. Overall, it offers good value for money, though the room is a bit small and facilities are basic.

It is an unmanned place, but it is a method of calling the staff by the phone placed at the desk and finding the key in the room reserved in the keybox. The staff only speaks basic English, so you should prepare a measure to communicate in Japanese. Early check-in and spacious rooms and bathrooms are hard to find in Japan. The water pressure in the bathroom is strong and the hot water comes out well. It's equipped with a microwave and a refrigerator. But the mattress on the bed was dead with all the cushions. If you go to Tokushima, I'll find this place again.

Overall facilities, food, services were awesome. Amazing services provided to us: complimentary ride to vine bridge, waterfall due to early arrival to hotel. Assisted to our train schedules for our next destination, offer treats for our long journey. Mailing postcard service. All staff demonstrated professional and courtesy attitude to their guest. Room Tenjin with open air bath is excellent, definitely recommended. Enjoy our stay. We would like to see bus schedules to be improved by increasing more buses run to and from the hotel; or arrange free hotel shuttle to and from Oboke Station, if required.

The Eleven Hotel Awa Ikeda Station Branch is very conveniently located, with JR Awa Ikeda Station and the tourist bus stop just downstairs—you could almost touch it. There's a shopping street downstairs, but it's often closed. There's a tourist information center next to the JR station. I stayed in a standard twin room with an en suite bathroom. It was spacious and well-equipped, with a large Japanese-style bathtub and a sliding door separating the toilet and shower. It was super clean. Pajamas were provided. The hotel has only a few staff members, but they were polite and friendly. When I checked in that evening, 15 minutes before closing time, the gentleman patiently assisted me. The continental breakfast was exquisite and delicious, and the soup and toast were the most memorable. It was absolutely delicious and not to be missed. There's a locker on the floor, but we didn't seem to use it. If you have a chance, please let me know if you do. Thank you.

The room was clean and the bedding was comfortable, which is the most important thing! What really deserves praise is their breakfast buffet; definitely book a room with breakfast, it's excellent value for money. They even have congee, which Chinese people love! Plus, the location is absolutely fantastic, with the train and bus stations right in front of you, making it super convenient for an early morning trip to Tokushima! And there are plenty of good restaurants nearby, like ramen shops and izakayas, all worth checking out!

Kansai Airport drops off. The airport directly takes the high-speed bus and gets off at Mingmen Expressway Station. After getting off the bus, turn back and turn right for tens of meters. There is a long staircase and there is a small electric monorail. The journey is only more than 100 meters away. After landing, go straight to the right for five or six minutes to the hotel. Don't take the tram. Its implementation is very fast, the hotel service is very good, many questions they also help and answer, also introduce a delicious izakaya, there are many drinks in the hotel lobby free of charge, the hotel packages Japanese breakfast, not many types but delicious, It’s good to stay here for the first night in four countries.
