Amazing hotel with the Fuji View from the room, don’t have to travel to viewpoints just to see Fujisan. Toilet is nicely segregated and the room is super big and spacious that I can open my luggages freely. The free public bath is amazing with different options for onsen and sauna room. Location is good, right beside Gotemba premium outlet so shopping was very convenient. But if you are not driving, might be difficult for you to get food at night .. Nearest 7-11 is quite a walk as its located deep inside Gotemba premium outlet.

I booked quite late, so only the lower-floor sea view rooms were available. Even though the hotel facilities are a bit old, it offers great value for money. Falling asleep to the sound of the waves at night was lovely. The hotel provides WeChat-based Chinese customer service, which made communication very convenient. The room was a Japanese-style room with a tatami mat. It was a bit firm, but it was a unique experience and quite nice. On the ninth floor, there's a public bath and private onsens. You can book a time for the private onsen with the front desk in advance. Soaking in the bath while enjoying the sea view was fantastic. The front desk also provided yukata (bathrobes) for guests to choose from. The only downside was that hairdryers were only available in the public bath and private onsens, which was a bit inconvenient. For transfers to and from the high-speed train station, you can book a pick-up/drop-off time on [platform name, e.g., WeChat, Xiaohongshu]. Otherwise, trying to drag luggage up the mountain road is impossible. There aren't many restaurants near the hotel by the sea; you have to climb a 15-minute mountain road closer to the high-speed train station to find eateries. Convenience stores are also near the train station, requiring a 20-minute uphill walk. I recommend buying anything you need beforehand and then taking the shuttle back to the hotel.

Right next to Shizuoka Station, the transportation is super convenient. The room size is acceptable; I was able to open my 28-inch suitcase. Being in the northeast corner of the hotel, I personally think it’s the best spot to see Mount Fuji from, though whether you actually see it largely depends on the weather :) There's a happy hour on the first floor and the breakfast is small but excellent. If you stay for multiple nights and don't request housekeeping, you can get a gift instead of new towels. The soundproofing within the room itself was decent, but you could hear the Shinkansen and even traffic lights from outside. The curtains also let in light from the sides. The front desk staff spoke fluent English.

Stayed here for a quick business trip and it was a great choice. The location is the biggest plus—it's directly connected to JR Hamamatsu Station, so getting to my meetings was super easy, even with luggage. The room was quiet, clean, and had a decent desk to get some work done. Being in the tallest building in the city, the view from my room was a great bonus to unwind after a long day. The Wi-Fi was fast and stable, which is a must for me. The staff were efficient and professional, making check-in and check-out very smooth. If you’re coming to Hamamatsu for work, this is probably the most convenient place to stay.

This Dormy Inn hotel maintains its signature style. There are seven private onsen on the 4th floor, and a public bath on the top floor, making for a truly wonderful hot spring experience. Both dinner and breakfast are served buffet-style, with a good variety of food that is refilled promptly. In the evenings, there's complimentary ramen, and after a soak, free cold drinks. In the mornings, you can enjoy free Yakult. The service and staff attitude are also excellent. Getting to the hotel from Shuzenji Station is easy on bus C10, or if you have a lot of luggage, a taxi will cost under 1500 JPY. It's definitely worth staying for two days to relax and enjoy the hot springs.

Really enjoyed my stay at Kameya Rakan! From the beginning, staff at check-in were very pleasant. The staff that attended to us also spoke really good English! There was also a microwave, some brochures/maps with discount codes for attractions (e.g. Mt Omuro chairlift). Parking was plenty and free, located behind the accommodation. There is a sign that says Kameya Rakan Parking. Room was tatami style, and we chose the seaview room which was really nice. They were also very kind to prepare iced water for us in the room which I have never encountered before. Would definitely come back to stay again!

I absolutely, absolutely, absolutely loved the Hachiman-no Wayo-shiki room type at KIRA-NO-SATO! Upon reaching the floor of our room, we had to take off our shoes and put them in a shoe cabinet, then walk barefoot to the room. If you're heading to the public bathhouse or just exploring the hotel, you can wear the geta (wooden clogs) provided by the shoe cabinet. The floors were incredibly clean; walking barefoot was very comfortable and not dirty at all. The room itself was spotless and spacious, not feeling old-fashioned in the slightest. In fact, it looked quite new. The shower room's design reminded me of a sauna, but it was very comfortable and clean. We didn't use the public bath. Instead, we showered in our room each time before grabbing the key for a private onsen. The 'Stone Craftsman' bath, made of stone, was a bit small; it felt a little cramped for two people. 'Bamboo Immortal' was made of wood (or perhaps bamboo, judging by the name?) and offered more space. 'Rock Seat' was more like a small swimming pool, the largest of the three private onsens, very spacious for two, and had the best overhead cover. The hotel front desk offered complimentary drinks, including sodas, coffee, and tea. The public bath area provided milk and coffee milk in the mornings, and lactic acid drinks and ice cream in the evenings. The building next to the front desk offered various refreshments at different times, such as green tea, local sweet potatoes, soba noodles, and oden. The hotel also offers a convenient shuttle bus service to Izu-Kogen Station, though it stops running after 5:30 PM. After that, you'd have to walk. The walk from the station to the hotel is uphill with a significant incline, which can be tiring if you have luggage or many bags. The hotel staff were all very enthusiastic and polite! I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone planning a trip to Izu~

This hotel is fantastic and fully equipped, truly a resort hotel, and many Japanese guests stay here! First, the hotel will send you an email in advance to confirm your dinner time. We booked dinner for two nights; it was a set menu, and the menu changed daily! The rooms are spacious, and there are many yukata choices! There are two hot springs ♨️, one in the main building and one in the south building. Currently, there are no private baths. We tried both. The main building's is smaller but fully equipped and less crowded. The south building isn't too far to walk to, just a few stairs! Both sides have restaurants. We stayed in the main building and dined there. Breakfast was indeed a bit of a hassle; you usually have to wait. You can go down early to make a reservation, and they'll call your room when it's ready! If you have time, you definitely need to try the hotel's facilities. It has three stops, including a free spa and an indoor water park. We went to the spa, and swimsuits were provided, which was very convenient! The internal shuttle runs until 11 PM, so you can go in the evening too! Be aware that the shuttle to the Kogen Station is the same as the internal shuttle, so make sure to ask when you get on! Both the hotel's dinner and breakfast are high-quality, and breakfast even includes sashimi rice! Plus, the hotel's souvenir shop is cheaper than the one at JR Station! I recommend having dinner at the hotel, as there's absolutely nothing around, no shops! But the hotel itself is so exciting, it's worth it even if you just stay and enjoy the hotel!

XXiaomuMUSI”This trip to Izu Kogen was made particularly memorable because of this B&B. As soon as I arrived at the B&B, the owner's warm welcome made me feel like spring breeze. The owner was very considerate. Not only did he introduce us to the surrounding attractions in detail, but he also gave us a lot of practical travel suggestions. The environment of the B&B is even better. The room is clean and tidy, and the layout is very warm and Japanese, making people feel as comfortable as at home. The public area is also very comfortable, and the hot spring ♨️ is also very suitable for families. It must be mentioned that this B&B is very close to the Jogasaki Coast, and it is very convenient to travel. You can just walk there, and the scenery along the way is also very beautiful. When we went back, it rained heavily and the tram stopped running. The owner took the initiative to contact us to help us find a way, and finally sent us to our destination. Thank you very much🥹 In short, this stay experience was great. I will definitely recommend this B&B to my friends around me, and next time I come to Izu Kogen, it will still be my first choice.”👍

CcometdebrisI stayed at Izu Ippeki Lake Lakeside Terrace for 5 nights booking though Trip.com. Be warned that problems may occur when booking through travel websites such as this one. I booked a standard room with no meals. What I did not know however, was that this reservation did not include any room cleaning services for the entire stay, no taking of garbage or towel replacement, no bed making, nothing at all. When I contacted the travel website to show my disappointment, they immediately contacted the hotel requesting a full refund. I did not expect a full refund for my entire stay. What I did expect, was for someone to acknowledge the fact that this important piece of information should have been indicated someone on the online reservation confirmation. Neither the travel site nor the hotel would acknowledge this. The travel site replied with a response from the hotel, saying that I was a regular guest and knew about this “regulation”. It’s true, I have visited Izu Ippeki Lake Lakeside Terrace on several occasions when housekeeping services were not included. However, this was clearly indicated on the reservation, and I stayed during the COVID STATE OF EMERGENCY, when it was standard practice for many hotels to exclude cleaning services. My recent stay was at the beginning of August, WHEN THE STATE OF EMERGENCY AND COVID RESTRICTIONS HAD BEEN LIFTED. It is no longer standard practice to exclude cleaning services at hotels in Japan. The hotel stated that I visited the front desk every day to get towels and never mentioned the need to clean the room. This is untrue. I only came to the front dest 2 times during my stay, and this is because room cleaning staff entered my room on 2 occasions, so I was expecting them to clean or take out the trash, but they did nothing and left. I expected them to return, however, they never did. The bottom line is the hotel is responsible for communicating their services to customers, especially after covid restrictions have been lifted. Blaming guests for their lack of communication is completely unprofessional. Now in regards to the hotel itself, I have stayed here on several occasions, I find it to be perfect, mainly because of the location and modest room size. The hotel is conveniently located near Lake Ippeki (Ippekiko) and there is plenty of nature and a few trails in the area. You can step out the door and be on a simple hiking trail within minutes. It’s a very quiet area and very good for children and families. Though the hotel is dated, the rooms are all quite large and include a living room, kitchen with cooking supplies and dishes (but no forks or spoons), a large bath, and both Western and Japanese style bedrooms. Some may be discouraged by the age of the hotel (it’s quite old and could use some renovation), but if you don’t mind that, then I would highly recommend staying here. One point that I need to mention is in regards to the bedrooms. The hotel has replaced their blackout curtains with super thin curtains which allow sunlight to easily shine through. We were woken up at 5:00 am every morning because of the bright sunlight in our room. If you’re a light sleeper, please take note. I wish management would consider this. Also, it’s highly recommended that guests come by car, public transportation is very inconvenient in the area. Overall, Izu Ippeki Lake Lakeside Terrace is a very convenient place for a reasonable price. I will definitely be staying here again in the future, but hope that they act with a little more professionalism and consider the fact that the covid state of emergency ended long ago.

GGuest UserThe environment here is absolutely amazing, and being able to soak in the hot springs was incredibly relaxing. Breakfast was decent too. However, there were some real pain points. First off, I knew the hotel was on a mountain and that there was a shuttle service. But I didn't realize the shuttle and pedestrians use the same road to go up, which felt quite dangerous. Secondly, the shuttle schedule was infrequent. The biggest issue was that due to a landslide, the later sections of the Izukyu Line were suspended. The hotel's car picked us up at Katase-Shirata, but they wouldn't drop us off there for the return journey. They clearly had a driver picking people up at Katase-Shirata, so why couldn't they just take us with them? Plus, the front desk wasn't clear about this when I asked. The hotel car could only shuttle us to Shimoda Station, which wasted our time. It was a complete rip-off!

GGuest UserWe had a truly wonderful stay at Ittouan. The experience was exceptional from beginning to end. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. They noticed us from far away and immediately came to help carry our luggage. One of the staff members, a lovely young lady who spoke excellent English, was especially helpful and made communication very easy. Unfortunately, I forgot to ask her name, but I would like to thank her again. We booked both dinner and breakfast, and the meals were fantastic. The ingredients were very fresh and the variety was impressive. Every dish was different and beautifully prepared. However, for two women like us, the portions were honestly quite generous — even sharing one meal between two people might have been enough! The location is excellent. The hotel provides a free shuttle to Kawazu Station, which makes it extremely convenient for visiting the Kawazu cherry blossoms. It is also very close to the beautiful coastline, so the surroundings are lovely. Our room had a private onsen bath where we could soak while enjoying the view of cherry blossoms, which was a truly special experience. There is also a larger private bath available by reservation (free of charge). We also tried the hot stone spa, which was incredibly effective in relieving the fatigue after my marathon. Overall, it was a fantastic stay. I would love to come back again in the future, hopefully with my family.

CCw233Facilities: This hotel has an old-money charm, and you can really see its past luxury. Everything is very well-maintained, and the rooms are clean. There aren't many power outlets, but they thoughtfully provided power strips. The tatami mattress was very comfortable, and the cleaning staff did a thorough job every day. The view from the window was beautiful, and falling asleep to the sound of the ocean waves was a dream. Service: The hotel offers a shuttle service to Atami JR Station, departing every half hour from in front of McDonald's. There are two vans per shuttle, clearly marked with the hotel's name in red, and managed by hotel staff. They drop off at both the old and new wings, which makes up for the slightly inconvenient location. Environment: The hotel boasts three large hot springs, all with both indoor and outdoor baths. I tried them all, and each has its own unique character. My skin felt so smooth afterwards! The walkway on the 15th floor of the Ocean Wing (old building) offers panoramic ocean views, making it the perfect spot to watch the sunrise. Dining: The buffet dinner was absolutely, incredibly amazing! Unlimited tuna belly! All-you-can-eat scallops and roe! Shrimp, sea bream, squid, salmon – there was so much I couldn't even try it all. The cooked dishes were also delicious, but my stomach just couldn't fit any more. I saw some not-so-great reviews before checking in, but perhaps everyone has different preferences. We, however, highly recommend it!

GGuest UserI booked two single rooms on the ladies' floor this time, and the rooms were still very spacious and quiet. The ladies' floor also has a dedicated coin-operated self-service laundry room, and the rooms are equipped with hair straighteners, facial steamers, and even face masks and foot patches, all available for free. AAnonymous UserHighly Recommended!! Key Point: The hotel includes a one-day admission ticket, allowing access to three attractions within one day: (Cactus Zoo, Izu Granpal Park, and the New York Lighting Museum Garden). We recommend checking in after visiting Mt. Omuro, enjoying a one-night stay with two meals at the onsen (hot spring), and then visiting the above attractions the next day! Perfect for families and couples! We recommend driving or walking to the hotel from Mt. Omuro/the zoo. Environment and Location: The hotel is located next to Mt. Omuro, about a 10-minute walk from the Mt. Omuro Ropeway; it also has a private entrance to the Cactus Zoo (accessible via a gate next to the hotel). The hotel features a terrace and platform with stunning surrounding views, perfect for taking photos, overlooking the sunrise, night views, and Mt. Omuro. Rooms and Facilities: Spacious rooms with a semi-Western, semi-Japanese design. Meals: The hotel offers a Japanese set breakfast and a kaiseki dinner.
