Beautiful hotel and great service. Unfortunately, the air-conditioning broke down and we were not offered an alternative room. It is regrettable given that it would have otherwise been a perfect stay.

Big hotel in great location. Staff very friendly and good selection for breakfast. Decent sized room with nice view of the river and park. We had dinner every night of our stay at the hotel restaurant as it was reasonably priced with a good choice.

Hotel location is great, right in the center.
Room is a bit outdated, but clean.
Parking is free.
Breakfast is simple but ample, come with scrambled eggs and bacon's, cornflakes and different breads.
Rception staff was helpful

Beautiful, very comfortable and large rooms. The indoor pools, the water temperature was very cold, the only thing you were comfortable with was the sauna, the only drawback. Good breakfast and good restaurants around

The service was excellent. The amenities were very good and very clean. The only drawback is that one of the jacuzzis didn't have hot water, but you could still enjoy it.

Very nice hotel. Room quite large. Indoor parking. Lots of choice at breakfast. Beautiful view of the Douro but unfortunately our room did not have this view! Negative response to our request for a change... Disappointing! Restaurants accessible by car only... otherwise a very steep walk on the way back!

Amazing
Halfway up the mountainside of the Douro Valley, there is a Portuguese-style villa with a beautiful garden and swimming pool. It overlooks the Douro River. The service and breakfast are very good. It is an ideal way to experience Portuguese rural life.

GGuest UserVidago Palace Hotel is very easy to access by expressways. The service is impeccable, and the rooms are large and well-renovated. The hotel has a beautiful balcony and pretty gardens. The dinner there had a good choice of food, and the wine list is pretty extensive, and expensive. Worth a visit even if is not cheap for Portuguse standars.

GGuest UserThe hotel is beautiful with the mix of old and new architecture. Plenty of FOC parking inside the fortress(hotel) and outside. Walking distance to the town and everything you want to see in Chaves. For EV cars, there is a chargeable charging station inside the hotel’s parking.

GGuest UserThe stay at Quinta do Silval was really enjoyable. The view from the pool is stunning and the room is comfortable and quiet. Hosts are welcoming. Warning!!! Check the road before coming because Google Maps isn’t accurate and drove us through some dirt roads.
