"The hotel is located in town center, close to restaurants and shopping areas. The design may be somewhat dated, but it is well-maintained and clean. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Check-in and check-out are quick and easy. The breakfast offers a wide variety of choices to suit various tastes. The beds are comfortable. Although there are two TVs, they are smaller than expected and cannot connect to personal devices. The swimming pool has beautiful views, and swimming is a good experience. The gym facilities are standard, and the exercise equipment offers breathtaking city views. The room rate is reasonable."

"Had a wonderful stay at Courtyard by Marriott Melaka. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and conveniently located, making it a great choice for both families and leisure travellers. A special mention goes to Roger, who was exceptionally helpful during our stay. He was friendly, attentive, and went the extra mile to assist with our requests, making us feel genuinely welcomed and well taken care of. "Overall, we had a pleasant stay. The room was spacious with two beds and an extra bed. It was very clean, and the breakfast was good. The only area for improvement was the breakfast seating arrangement. The staff did not consider seating elderly guests closer to the food area, even though there were nearby tables available. It would have been more convenient and thoughtful for senior guests."

"Our family of four from Singapore recently stayed at DoubleTree by Hilton Melaka during the Vesak Day long weekend for a short getaway, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The hotel has a beautiful ambiance that immediately makes guests feel welcomed and relaxed. Check-in and check-out were exceptionally efficient, allowing us to maximise our holiday time. What truly stood out was the friendliness and professionalism of the entire team. Every staff member we encountered was approachable, attentive, and genuinely committed to ensuring we had a comfortable stay. The location is excellent, with plenty of dining, shopping, and sightseeing opportunities nearby. The hotel facilities were equally impressive. The swimming pool, fitness centre, and sauna were all well-maintained and provided a great way to relax after a day of exploring Melaka. We particularly appreciated how the team regularly checked in with us to ensure everything was meeting our expectations. It is this level of personalised service that sets the hotel apart. As parents travelling with teenagers, we were pleasantly surprised to find warm food available late at night when our children got hungry. This was an unexpected but greatly appreciated touch. "Had a 3D2N stay at this hotel and my experience was nothing but pleasant. Staff were friendly, amenities and room were new and not lacking. My room faced the Strait of Melaka and it was breathtaking. Pros: - Service was top notch. From check-in to the usage of facilities, I was well taken care of. - Facilities are abundant, from new gym equipment to a sauna, steam room and a swimming pool (deepest in Melaka at 2.7 m), there’s something for everyone. - Room was clean and modern, though if the TV had access to Youtube/Netflix that would make it flawless. - Breakfast option was more than decent, comparable to other similarly-priced hotels in the area. - Walking distance to Old Town Melaka were Dutch Square is located. Cons: - Nothing major that warrants listing. Note: Sign up for Dusit Gold (its free) for 15% dining within the hotel’s restaurants"

"Stayed overnight. Service was good. Got free cendol following their social media accounts in Instagram and Facebook. Car parking is limited. Room has very small window. Might be claustrophobic to some. Sound proofing was not very good. You can hear people walking in the hallway and even the preparation in the restaurant area (We stayed in room 122 and it was the first room you see right after the door in the ground floor). Mobile data is hard to access inside the rooms as well. They do provide wifi but inside the room was quite slow. Water pressure is quite not strong as I preferred but tolerable. Breakfast has limited choices but all were good. Especially the kuihs. We got welcome drinks and snack when we checked in. Location was really goodand is easy to drive to. Jonker Walk was indeed walkable. Over-all the stay overnight was okay. But I recommend to book rooms with windows 😅"

"We truly enjoyed our stay but not the lift. The family room is spacious, complete with bath tub and microwave, also complimentary drinks. Three bedrooms that can fit my family of seven and have space for the kids and baby ran around. Netflix and YouTube Channel, perfect for our little Stay at hotel vibes. But I think the in- room service is really important. We don't plan on going out to have dinner so we thought we could just order from the in room dining but apparently the hotel doesn't offer it. But we just ordered from Grab and it is not disappointing. Basic amenities like toothbrush, shower cream were also prepared. The pool and kids pool is huge but there are too many people staying at the hotel as well as The Shore (cause they share amenities) and the towel is not enough. We have to wait but the frustrating part is my room accommodated 5 adults but only 2 pool towels were allowed to be taken. Maybe the hotel could revise this rule. The picture shows only the third room (where I was sleeping). It is spacious and great for a single person and not to mention the table for working space. Ah, the down side like I mentioned, the lifts. It took forever for us to get to our room and to check out. But then again it's the holiday season, so the hotel was full, so I'll be understanding this time"

"The hotel tried its best, but it has definitely seen better days. We entered a room that was clean, and the beds were made perfectly. I had requested adjoining rooms on a high floor, and both requests were accommodated, which I appreciated. The fridge and phone in our room were not working, but it wasn’t a big deal—we simply used the adjoining room’s. However, I would have been quite annoyed if we hadn’t had the adjoining room to fall back on. At around S$60 per room during the school holiday weekend, it’s difficult to find another hotel in such a central location that also includes breakfast, so the value for money is hard to ignore. I would also like to commend the staff. The front desk team was welcoming, and the housekeeping team responded promptly to our requests throughout our two-day stay. The buffet breakfast was consistently topped up whenever items ran low, although the selection of pastries was limited. Overall, the staff were amazing—warm and friendly whenever we crossed paths, whether at the front desk, during housekeeping interactions, or at breakfast service. That said, there are areas that could use significant improvement. The bathrooms are overdue for renovation, with rusty corners and stubborn stains in several places. The towels have also seen better days—they were thin and had visible holes. I don't fault the staff for these issues, as they seem to be doing their best with a property that is quite run-down. I believe the hotel management needs to do a better job of updating and maintaining the facilities. Overall, this is a budget-friendly option with excellent service, though the hotel's physical condition could benefit from some much-needed upgrades."

"Overall, we were very satisfied with the hotel’s facilities and family-friendly environment. However, I would not recommend staying during peak season due to the long waiting time for room allocation. Although check-in was at 3:30 PM, we only received our room between 6:00 PM and 7:00 PM. While guests were allowed to enjoy the facilities and complimentary light refreshments while waiting, the delay was challenging, especially for young children who were already tired after travelling. Unfortunately, the room cleanliness was below expectations. It appeared that housekeeping was rushing to prepare rooms. There was visible dust and small pieces of rubbish on the floor, the shower gel bottle was completely empty and had not been refilled, and the balcony had not been swept. Most concerning was finding a Charlie ant near the curtain. That said, I would like to compliment the hotel manager for the prompt response when we requested additional bottled drinking water. The service recovery was appreciated. The breakfast offered a wide variety of choices and was delicious. Parking was convenient, and the facilities were excellent, making the hotel highly suitable for families with young children. In conclusion, the housekeeping standards and room waiting time require significant improvement. However, the food, parking, and facilities were excellent. The location is slightly outside Malacca city centre, with most tourist attractions approximately 15–20 minutes away by car."
