Cleanliness / Hygiene
Perfect. The room and all areas were spotless every day – nothing to complain about.
Location
Perfect! Just a short, easy walk to Morioka Station, close to the canal (Nakatsu River area) for pleasant strolls, and a 7-11 right downstairs for food and drinks anytime.
Staff / Service
Very friendly staff – welcoming and helpful from start to finish.
Room / Comfort
Small (typical for Japan), but very comfortable bed and solid amenities. Slept great.
Value for Money
The price is very reasonable – excellent value for such a great location and quality.
Would stay again – ideal spot for Morioka visitors!
The hotel is within walking distance from the Morioka Shinkansen station, the rooms are spacious and is near the main shopping street with a mall across the street.
I stayed here for three nights and had a great experience! The location is directly opposite Morioka Station; you can see the building as soon as you exit the station. There's also an underground passage leading right to the hotel entrance, so you don't have to walk far even on snowy days. Right outside the hotel, there's a Lawson and a Matsuya, and it's very close to several famous restaurants near the station.
My room this time was on the highest floor, the eighteenth, with a view overlooking Morioka Station. The room included shampoo, body wash, etc. Other amenities were available for self-service in the lobby downstairs, with a wide variety, many of which were from POLA. There was also a multi-charger in the drawer, which was very convenient. I didn't take photos of the room's interior, but it looked pretty much like the booking pictures.
The breakfast was abundant. Besides the usual items, there were also various Morioka-specialty noodles to try. If you don't use your breakfast voucher, you can exchange it at the front desk for a boxed pastry to take away, which is a thoughtful touch.
The hotel is almost perfect except that there is no bathtub in the room. The service struck me most is the courtesy of the staff. Everyone was so helpful and well-mannered.
This place is super clean, convenient and new. King beds are more like Queen sized beds. The restaurant food at night is pretty decent and well priced. The breakfast Buffett is mediocre and wouldn’t really recommend. Staff were good. Onsen is nice to have. I used to stay at comfort inn and Toyoko inn, but I’ll pay a bit more and go for Sakura next time I am in Kitakami
This was my second stay, and the autumn scenery is even more beautiful than in summer! The hotel's environment, service, and food are all excellent. We stayed two nights, and the dinners were different. The second night's dinner was so lavish, I couldn't finish it all even though I was stuffed. The breakfast buffet was also superb. The hotel staff are all very friendly and can help you call a taxi. The hotel has many hot springs, and the water quality is excellent. The only pity is that the semi-open-air hot spring now has glass windows installed, so you can't properly enjoy the autumn scenery outside, and it feels a bit stuffy. The mixed-gender bath has the most beautiful views, and from 8 PM to 9 PM, it's reserved for ladies. It would be perfect if they could also arrange an hour for ladies during the daytime, as the daytime scenery is even better, and ladies might feel more comfortable in a mixed-gender bath during those hours. I'll definitely stay at this hotel again if I get the chance.
Overall very good place but a little difficult to find without maps because the sign on the front is not very big nor well lit. also the main entrance is not where you expect it but below ground level.
The hotel is near the station, with convenient transportation. The staff is polite and can communicate in English. The room is well-equipped and clean. The breakfast is rich. We stayed for two consecutive days, but the hotel required us to return the key to the front desk every day when we went out. After returning to the hotel, we had to wait in line again to go through the key collection procedure.
The hotel is located in Hanamaki Onsen Village, which is a group of three hotels. You can go to the hot springs in all three hotels, but I only went to the Momijikan, which has both outdoor and indoor hot springs. The area is not small and very comfortable. The room is also large, and the breakfast is rich in variety, with Japanese and Western food. There are also sukiyaki, local milk and ice cream. The hotel also has free folk performances in the lobby every night, which is very unique. If it is spring and summer, the rose garden near the hotel should also be beautiful. A very recommended hotel. The disadvantage is that the surrounding public transportation is not very convenient. You can only make an appointment to take the free shuttle bus from the hotel to Shin-Hanamaki Station. Although there are ordinary buses, there are very few buses.
Special mention
The full name of the hotel is Yamanokami Onsen Villa Seiryukan (SeRyuKan)
The reason for this is that Yamanokami Onsen has 3 hot spring facilities:
The ordinary Japanese hot spring hotel Yamanokami Onsen YukaYin
The daytime hot spring hotel Nagomi
The last one is Villa Seiryukan
Take the right exit from the west exit of Shin-Hanamaki Station on the Shinkansen Line. There will be a free hot spring shuttle bus, which will depart from Platform 2 at 15:10, 16:10 and 17:10 respectively. The driver will hold a sign and ask you which hotel you are going to. Just point to Seiryukan.
At other times, you must take a taxi to the hotel, and the standard fare is less than 8,000 yen.
The shuttle bus will take passengers to Yuxiangyuan, where they will wait for the staff to arrange for them to take a minivan to the Qingliu-kan lobby on the other side to complete the check-in procedures.
When checking out, the free shuttle bus will arrive in front of Yuxiangyuan at 10:00 am or before. Guests need to check out from Qingliu-kan before 9:30 am and take a minivan to Yuxiangyuan to wait for the bus.
The bus arrives at Shin-Hanamaki Station at around 10:45. Please be sure to pay attention to the Shinkansen and airport arrival times. For example, it is impossible to catch the 10:20 Shinkansen back to Tokyo, but the Shinkansen only stops at Shin-Hanamaki Station once an hour.
The hotel's dining time starts at 6pm and breakfast starts at 7am. Whether dining at Qingliukan or Youxiangyuan, you need to make a reservation one day in advance with the help of Qingliukan staff, and they will inform you of the relevant fees. If you choose to stay overnight without breakfast or dinner, please be aware that among the three hot spring hotels, only the reception of Yukaen provides microwave fried rice and pasta, which costs 800 yen per serving.

GGuest UserIt’s a hotel located about midway between Morioka Station and the castle ruins park, with an arcade shopping street nearby and many places to eat. Most tourist spots are within about one kilometer. The interior of the hotel is old, and at times the voices of other guests echoed and felt noisy
But it is still good hotel to stay
GGuest UserThe location is beautiful in the national park, and it is cool and comfortable to walk. The sea view room has a great view, and you can watch the sunrise from the bed. The outdoor hot spring pool is very comfortable, the customer service staff is kind and attentive, and the meals are plentiful and delicious.
GGuest UserThe room is average and the price/performance ratio is very high. The next day we woke up late and missed breakfast, but the waitress immediately prepared a set meal for us, including curry rice, vegetable soup, Japanese vegetables, and juice. It was very rich and we were very full. Thank you very much! Toyoko Inn is usually located very close to JR station. Although the rooms are small, they are very cost-effective! recommend!
GGuest UserThe Resort location can easily access the Appi Kogen slope and rentals. Hotel is generally good but some details could be improved; such as providing towels in the onsen, increase the number of washing machines and dryers.
Food options within the hotel is limited. The best part is the sake tasting for 100¥
LLanie KirklandA group of four of us booked a cabin on a whim, and I’m so happy we did!! We did a two-day ski trip to Geto Kogen, and I cannot stress enough how convenient these cabins were to the resort itself. We stayed overnight in between two days at the resort. The drive up to the resort was less than 20 minutes. The cabin itself was super cozy, so comfortable, had great amenities for the short time we were there, and the staff were so kind and helpful. Everything was very clean, the heater was already on when we arrived, which was a very thoughtful touch, and we were able to hang all our snow gear to dry thanks to the copious amounts of hangars available. We felt it was a crazy good deal based on the price, location, and availability to book it just a few days in advance. We will definitely be back in the summer to use the grill and go golfing at the country club!
DDevI stayed at this place during my hike through the Michinoku coastal trail. This is a good choice before you attempt Kurosakiso and Kitayamazaki coast. This can be reached easily from Horinai station. Cross the big bridge and walk a bit more, you can see the sign to the left. The hotel has nice indoor and outdoor onsen. Many locals come here to use the onsen. They probably have annual or life membership to use the onsen. It is a nice opportunity to chat with some of them. When I was there, it was raining and hence I could not enjoy the view, however, using onsen after hiking in the rain was quite relaxing. On a clear day, the ocean can be seen from the room window. Dinner can be ordered and is quite good at a reasonable price. The next day, the hotel shuttle dropped me to the train station which was quite nice, I did not have to walk in rain.

HHr waSelf-driving car ありで utilization. Parking lot は no material.
It is a small hotel, but there are a number of rooms or more parking lots, so it seems that you cannot park your car.
A system where you can give a card key at check-in and put it in a box when you go out and leave it as it is. You don't need to leave it at the front desk when you go out. Simple but no trouble.
It is a little far from the nearest Ichinoseki station and the downtown area in front of the station (?), but it is a distance that cannot be walked. Is it a little closer from the east exit? It seems to be within the taxi first ride fare range.
There are seven eleven and drug stores (food super type goods) within 3 minutes walk of the inn, and there is no particular inconvenience in shopping.
The room doesn't feel that big, but it has everything you need to stay as a business and it's a good impression. There is no particular concern about beds and bedding.
WIFI speed is no problem, and the sound of other rooms is not particularly heard and comfortable. Best environment if you don't ask for excessive service.
Free breakfast is a system that takes bread, small bowls, yogurt (Danon), and beverages by yourself. It's simple, but if you don't need ”guts from the morning!”, you can even feel that it's just right.
The price is the lowest among the hotels near ichinoseki station, and there is no shortage of service if it is a business use with a car.
I think it will be a good choice for those who do not ask for extra service for accommodation.
Personally I was able to stay comfortably.
AAnonymous UserA perfect hotel for budget conscious travellers. It is strategically located, very near to Morioka station. There are many eating shops around and Lawson is just around the corner. Breakfast is good but have to queue up to get the food as there are many guests waiting in line. Room is functional.
