This review is about the SPA facilities. I advise everyone to book some treatments there as it’s truly relaxing and positive experience. I used the “Aqua journey treatment” (salt room/water massage/sauna/steam room etc) and I also booked a massage few times. All the staff is very friendly and professional, always there to help. I highly recommend a decontracting massage done by Maura as it was the best massage I’ve had in my life ! Maura is a highly professional and skilled masseuse. I left the table feeling like a new born man. I’ve had some problems with muscles around my neck for long time and couldn’t turn my head to one side completely and Maura also fixed this. We stayed in this hotel once wonderful for a week. The feelings are contrasting ... on one side the exceptional location, the view you have on the Maddalena island, the facilities present but .... there are so many but. In the first three days of the day we asked for them to be done in the morning and came at 14 or 15 when we were resting, unretired waste, unretired bed linen. The worst thing was the lack of answers from the reception. After 3 days the things finally got to fix. Then 2 ggs closed for maintenance (may happen for charity). The accommodations to fix, rather uncomfortable beds, dated furniture. The shops in the village are all desolatedly closed. There is no total animation. Bars in the hotel at the request of a cocktail can not answer that it has almost nothing. The impression is that the staff are reduced to the bone and who is there is shipping how can it use sometimes ridiculous excuse.

Excellent boutique hotel. The concierges at the desk and the entire staff were warm, friendly, and welcoming. This really made our time in Sardinia special. The location in is in the heart of Palau with great energy. We enjoyed walking right outside the hotel going and going around the town, going for a drink and dinner. Our room had a beautiful view of the sea and was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good. The excursion with the boat company the hotel set up for us was a highlight of our time. Not far from Olbia airport. Can easily take the bus to travel to other parts of Sardinia. Highly recommend.

We stayed 7 nights at this hotel and overall it was a nice place to stay. The room was spacious and the bed was huge. The bed is 2 single beds pushed together, which was annoying as one of us often slipped into the gap. Having said this the mattress and pillows were comfortable. There was no iron in the room although house keeping provided this when it was requested. There were no slippers or bath robes provided. No one cleaned our room for 3 days which was poor. We had to call reception to ask for housekeeping to visit our room. They did and to their credit, they visited everyday after that. The bathroom was spacious and had a shower, bidet, toilet and sink - no bath. Shower gel and soap was provided. The shower is great, has great speed and was always warm enough. It was great. We didn't get breakfast as we are late risers. The pool area is nice and the pool bar waiters are lovely. The downside of the pool area is we got bitten by mosquitoes which made some of the holiday uncomfortable (not the hotel's fault- but beware!). The pool water was so cold, i only stayed in the pool for a couple of minutes because it was unbearable! The gym has really good machines but it is always busy! I think the general public is allowed to use it. We didn't make use of the spa as it is only open 3 days a week - which is a shame. The hotel is located in a great location, close to downtown and the sea. And parking is great.

We stayed 4 nights and the only two positive notes of the hotel are the central and very convenient location and the very courteous staff. From the photos I had very high expectations which were completely disappointed. We were assigned a room with a window that overlooked an extra wall covered by scaffolding which made it very dark. The furnishings leave much to be desired as they are dated and an unpleasant smell inside the room. On the second day we used the room cleaning service and the bubble bath was not replaced. For what we paid I expected a lot more considering that breakfast was not included in the price either.

This is a corporate feeling hotel that caters to groups and conferences. The rooms are okay and functional but a few problems cause me to recommend other stays. Most importantly, the attitude of the restaurant staff is nasty. They wouldn’t let me in a few minutes ahead of opening when I just wanted to see the sunrise view from the restaurant terrace. Then, they were upset that my sister in law asked for a coffee after she had tea. Most disappointing, they wouldn’t prepare a simple omelette for my daughter who is Crohn’s and avoiding oil and butter. The server said we should have scrambled eggs or a fried egg from the buffet (which was really basic). I can’t recall the last time I stayed at a high star hotel that wouldn’t make an omelette. But the view from the terrace is wonderful. The 2 elevators are insufficient for this hotel so prepare to wait several minutes for your ride but this is the least of my issues. A smile and pleasant service at the breakfast terrace would’ve made all else much better at the hotel. Oh… the location is excellent.

This hotel is listed as 4 stars but having stayed at 5 star hotels it is far superior!! The location ,setting ,pool area ,large immaculate rooms and hotel are gorgeous. The breakfast buffet and restaurant meals are delicious. The concierges Damir Roberto Tina Sall and Agostino treat clients as family with such great care and concern . Staff as well as the guests I met are so friendly making my stay here the most fantastic in spectacular Sardinia!! Hotel Balocco is just fabulous !!!!

Excellent hôtel! Food is very good, enjoyed by adults and children at every meal, the variety is good and the quality is excellent. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful with a special mention for the fantastic animation team who never seem to sleep and are always proposing activities, games and shows without being invasive. My youngest will definitely miss Roberto and Emilian. The site is just gorgeous with views you could never get tired of. Wonderful holiday would definitely come back!

Hotel favoloso, ambientazione da sogno, con l’isola dell’Asinara sullo sfondo. In particolare, noi abbiamo soggiornato in uno dei bungalow che garantiscono privacy e al tempo stesso la possibilità di godere di una favolosa vista mare e di un verde prato curato nei minimi particolari. Anche il personale dell’hotel è molto professionale: la signora Paola, persona squisita, sempre disponibile a soddisfare ogni richiesta dei suoi clienti; il servizio delle pulizie ottimo e infine un servizio navette che assicura di continuo l’arrivo, in pochi minuti, alla splendida spiaggia della Pelosa! We visited for my husbands 40th birthday. This hotel is stunning to look at and is situated next to a large harbour. We booked via Tui and had a very large room that over looked the pool with a balcony. The bed was huge and extremely comfortable! The rooms are cleaned twice a day unless you mark do not disturb, once for a clean and then a turn down service. I cannot describe how amazing breakfast is! The coffee is lovely, the selection of foods available and the view over the harbour while you eat was the best way to start each day. I noticed there were were lots of gluten free options. However, after breakfast, as with everything in Sardinia (!) the food and drink is expensive! We didn't mind too much as we were away for a special occasion and the prices are in line with the rest of the island. When you're looking for dinner we found a very reasonably priced restaurant a 5 min walk away called Volemose Bene. Delicious food! There is a courtesy bus to two different beaches and this is well worth booking onto. The hotel provide beach towels and sunbeds and parasols. The beaches are stunning but have very little amenities. We bought drinks/snacks from the shop nr the hotel and took them with us. The hotel pool has plenty of very comfortable sunbeds and they also provide pool towels just ask the lifeguard. This hotel lost a star from us because there were no tea and coffee facilities in our room. This was a big negative for us as we like to wake up and have a cuppa in our room before starting our day. Lastly I must just say the staff were incredibly polite and attentive and an absolute credit to the hotel.

Great hotel despite the shortage of staff. Good 30 min walk into town which wouldn't be suitable for some. Very modern. Great breakfast buffet. Lots of gel and staff in masks. Nice outside area. Big modern room with good sound proofing, fridge, safe, good supply of power points, good lighting and lots of mirrors! Black out curtains. Good a/c, very quiet. Comfy bed. Good bathroom with a big bath with removable shower head. Group meal was slow and main course wasn't hot. That's our only complaint and it's probably due to the staff shortage which is worldwide problem in hospitality. We stayed as part of an organised tour. People travelling as individual couples may not notice the service issues but we did have to wait for bar service when there as a couple too.

Excellent unique 5-star hotel in Cagliari. New hotel with large and well furnished rooms. Great bed and cleanliness. The hotel is undoubtedly the best in town and also boasts an excellent restaurant. In the square there is also an excellent pizzeria. Complete the breakfast and the overall good service and partly carried out by very young guys with a great desire to do. Certainly in returning to Cagliari I would repeat the experience. Excellent quality-price relation.

The first day of the May 1st, as a step for a tour in the south-east of Sardinia, was a quality choice. Excellent in all aspects: from the comfortable reception to the cleaning of the large rooms, from the excellent breakfast to the customer care in the gentlemen's restaurant. In the queue thanks to the staff for help and assistance offered, in the phase of return, causes my car failure

This was a wonderful place to stay as a solo traveler visiting Cagliari. Full service, always attended boutique hotel with a quiet and beautiful room. Breakfast was always fresh and lovely in a library with marina views. The location, for my needs, was perfect as a base to head out daily. My favorite shop for room wine and cheese (Sapori di Sardegna) was right around the corner but the hotel provided a nice snack assortment, wine and fridge of refreshments. I couldn’t be happier with the choice of this accommodation.

The B&B has a great central location with free parking on the parallel road, we have a large room with four beds and two sofa beds, a great solution when traveling with three children. Clean and ordered. Pre-packed breakfast varies and is sufficient, with the possibility of making coffee or tea (no milk, which I had brought with me in bricks to single packs), but there is a kitchen in the common part. The manager was very kind and very helpful.

The only positive side of this structure is that it is two steps away from the center. For the rest of the experience to forget! The building has a disgusting smell of flat, which is even from the street and which is really irritating in the room, and in the corridors it always has a strong smell of cigarette smoke. To reach the rooms you need to be sneaked on one (or two!) long and fast climbing that, having a few baggages not very light afterwards, may also be pretty dangerous. We had booked the room with breakfast, except then find out that the ”breakfast” was a ”kit” left directly in the room (cake and cooked pie + a tea bag). If it had been reported that breakfast was made of such a kind we would not have paid the extra! We had asked for an additional toilet paper roll and it was not available. The shower had more or less the size of a bar! It is quite easy to post in the area, but almost exclusively for payment and only on the street. The way in which the structure is located is quite noisy until late night and early morning.

When we arrived at the hotel room, we were astonished, as it was really big - at least 50 square metres. We felt ourselves really well. However, as we have travelled in Sardinia quite a lot now, then it is typical that you do not think about heating. You fall asleep in a warm room, but wake up in cold, as the sun does not heat the room any more. The hotel is in a good location - close to Olbia Terranova train station and not too far from the city centre. In conclusion, the hotel is not a disappoin**ent. For this money - it is impossible to get a room spacious like that anywhere.

It is not quite 4 stars but it isn't far off. The best part of the hotel is its Staff. They are warm and helpful and doing a great job. The common area ammenities are also very good. The lobby area has a lovely Bar and the Restaurant next to it is modern and does a great breakfast. The outdoor pool area is very inviting. It is well maintained and there are plenty of sun lounges and a poolside bar. The hotel also had a Beauty Spa that looked to have a very thorough menu of treatments. However the rooms are more like 3 stars. Just a bit dated and showing their age, including beds and towels. No USB chargers in rooms in an airport hotel was surprising. No smart tv that you can stream netflix etc. is also an indication that it is reno time. On the positive, the toiletries are Crabtree and Evelyn and everything was very clean in the room, the hallways and the common areas. Wifi was strong and fast. We stayed for airport transit reasons and it met our needs. Restaurant does a very good breakfast but there are better lunch/dinner options in town. Overall the cost is probably fair value for the overall amenities and location.

Located within 2 minutes walking distance of the lively town of Olbia. Only 10 minutes drive from the airport and the picturesque beach of Pittulongu. Excellent service provided by the staff. We had a late evening flight on our departure day. The hotel gave us a room to rest, shower and change for free. Amazing service! We also got a lot of help to book taxis and good recommendations for restaurants. Variety and quality of the breakfast buffet is very good.

Booked directly with the hotel and got a great discount which meant that we could afford to stay in the ”Romantic Suite” on the top floor (AKA junior suite with terrace on some hotel booking sites.) Room was spacious, modern, with a super comfy bed, good aircon, walk in wardrobe, bedsettee, large wallmounted flat screen tv, mini bar, nespresso machine, good bathroom and thick towels, swanky bathtub in the room and panoramic views from our well furnished terrace! Staff were friendly. Loved the swimming pool. Good breakfast. A really lovely hotel. Supermarket next door and many eateries around. Bus stop right outside. The service is pretty good once you learn to read the timetable/ bus stops and very cheap. Taxis are ridiculously expensive, €30 - €40 for around 5km. You can get to Bados, Pittulongu beaches (2 buses each way) and Porto Istana beach (1 bus but further away). Would have given 5 stars but the rooftop bar and pool were in use for private functions throughout our stay and there is no designated smoking area so smokers stand right outside the entrance. Needed to ask a for an adapter for the hairdryer which only had a 2 round pin plug on it. And the guest handbook could be better, particularly around the 'smart panel' for housekeeping. That said, I would highly recommend the hotel, we had a fabulous time.

Great deal for a stay in April. Wonderful front desk person named Marialouisa. The breakfast buffet was very nice, especially since it was included! The hotel is definitely not four stars—a solid three stars is accurate. Our biggest issue was that they locked the heat at 78 degrees. We asked the front desk about this but they said they couldn’t do anything and we should keep the window open. Problem with that is the winds on the island can be extremely strong and it was blowing up to 40mph during our stay. Plus ferries dock right outside the hotel every ~5 mins so there’s a lot of noise when you keep the window open. The front desk said they don’t turn on the AC until the summer months so keep in mind that your room may be 78 degrees in non-summer months! We loved the town and the island and overall the hotel was a good deal for its April pricing.
