"Firstly, the staff we encountered were lovely, very accommodating and helpful. The reception entrance was promising, being bright and modern with a very pleasant receptionist and smooth check in. However, our room lacked appeal, comfort or anything that made one wish to stay in it for longer than a night. To be fair, we were asked twice on check in, if we would like to move to a different floor. I jokingly asked if there was a problem with the room we'd been allocated but was told no. We were allocated Room 7. Whilst it appeared clean to the best the facilities allowed, it was unpleasant. The bottom of the bathroom door appeared water damaged and rotten. The sink was cracked. The radiator was rusted by urine splashes as situated beside the toilet and the shower was situated in a recess with no curtain or screen, so quickly spilled on to the floor making the bath mat soaked. The lock on the bathroom door didn't work. There was no hair dryer. Only one USB point within the very small TV which only charged if it was on. Being on the ground floor, our window opened out on to the narrow walk way and one poor man walked into it on his way to reception. SatNav instructions take you to a dead end further down the road and several attempts at finding our way around the God awful roundabout eventually led us to a very small parking area at the front of the hotel. Breakfast at 9.00 pm was initially disappointing. One plate was available, no bread for the toaster, no milk for the cereals. One sausage, no beans, no bacon. More food did eventually appear, as did plates, and it was very nice. The croissants and pastries were lovely too. The coffee machine was good. As mentioned, the staff were very good and we requested an iron which was bought to us quickly with a board by a lovely young man. The bed was awful. Rock hard and not much comfort from a meagre duvet that was so thin that initially we thought it had been forgotten. Anyway, one night, cheap and basic. Served its purpose but would look elsewhere and pay more. Think we were just unlucky."

"Great if you're attending an event or visiting a student at University of Warwick. There's a nice bar and restaurant on the premises and a shop (co-op) and another bar nearby on the campus. Scarman is next to Warwick Business School. The free parking is handy and the staff were polite and super helpful, answering the questions we had to make our stay easier"

"The hotel is lovely and clean and the staff were very helpful. Our room was spacious and the bathroom had a lovely large shower. We had breakfast on our last morning and it was delicious and hot, buffet style with cereals and pastries too."

"Absolutely smashing. Myself and sister visited ( it’s our most favourite hotel whenever I come visit her) for my birthday treat. Honestly all the great great team can never do enough for you x They make our stay.  Huge thanks this visit to Josh, Charlotte and Debs ( looking fab Debs. Haven’t seen you in ages) and all the team xxx  We always relax in the spa , then enjoy the  lounge and tasty dinner later. It’s just the best, and especially this special birthday visit. "I checked in at 3pm and the process was quick and smooth, with no problem. The room is on 4th floor, the view outside of the window is quite okay, I could see the rooftop of the bus station and part of the Coventry Transport Museum. The WiFi was working quite well in the room and I am glad, the room provides hot water kettle, fan, clothes hangers and a TV set. But you will need to bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste and face towels for your morning routine. The bathroom is functional and clean . It is usually safe to walk around in the city centre, even during nighttime, but still it is better to travel in group and look after yourself."

"We were a wedding party and found we were accommodated quite well generally I.e the manager did open the bar for us on the Sunday evening where it us usually closed but there were a couple of issues within the party too. One couple had to change their room because of a very bad smell in theirs, another couple had an issue with the shower and toilet not working. All issues were promptly dealt with and resolved. In the restaurant they advertise children eat free yet 2 separate groups within our party were charged for them, these charges were removed when questioned but should not of been charged in the first place. The menu is quite extensive in the restaurant but unfortunately the quality of the food compared to the prices charged was not equal with some of the meals."

"The room was clean and tidy with excellent natural light. The mattress was just right – not too soft, not too firm – leading to a great night's sleep. The front desk staff were very welcoming, and getting around the area was convenient. Overall, it's fantastic value for money, and I highly recommend it!"

"The location is excellent, just a two-minute walk from the train station. The facilities are about what you'd expect for the price. However, the cleaning felt a bit sloppy; I could still see my own hair in the shower on the second day. The hotel restaurant was very bad. I do not recommend this hotel."

"Stayed over for a wedding. Good location - close to the motorways. Lots of parking. Would recommend and stay again if in area."

"Easy to find just off A45. Minimal traffic noise. Secure parking for £5 per night. Room was large, clean and perfectly sufficient. Not too hot or too cold (in April). Great shower, very comfy bed, good TV. WiFi was a bit slow. Exterior look and Interior decor both a bit dated. Great VFM for a one night (Friday) stay."
