This hotel is particularly popular with those traveling as a couple.

"The pictures from this place are well taken! The building is quite in need of renovation and the lifts don't look in the best shape at all. In our bedroom, the shower was leaking both from the shower head and from the tiles through the toilet and so was the air-conditioning - it kept dripping water in the middle of the room all night long. For the washing /drying machine theres only one of each, so it's constantly busy; I've used once and my clothes were taken off from the washer while someone else got their clothes to wash and dry. So far in my experience the hotel staff would take care of ”moving the queue” during the night and get the drying done for you/ moving clothes to dry/ removing from dryer but in the morning my clothes were back in the washing machine, still wet. Breakfast was ok. The bed was comfortable. The mini room is actually tiny and there's not a single shelf where you can put your stuff: we had two small backpacks and didn't manage so if you have luggage don't book this room. The view from the rooftop was actually amazing and the location was also super! So this isn't a horrible place but improvement can be made :)"

"On our second night at Mount Siguniang, we experienced altitude sickness. We contacted the concierge around 2 AM, and they responded incredibly quickly. They brought us a thermometer, took us to the clinic in the middle of the night, waited while we received oxygen, and then brought us back to our room. The entire communication process was very smooth and efficient. We are extremely grateful! 🙏 The room and breakfast were good, and the service was beyond words. The hotel staff handled our luggage, even when we offered to carry it ourselves."

"one of the smoothest hotel experiences i've had in china; it's family-owned and the staff are warm and friendly! we received a room upgrade free of charge upon arrival an our room was clean, modern, spacious, and quiet. there's free coffee and mini snacks on the 4th floor, along with a self-serve free laundry (wash + dry combined) and microwave. the only downside is that the gym is +40rmb per person, but i found the facility to be run-down, dirty, and with some broken machines. overall a very positive experience. we rebooked sungold hotel again after we return from our trip to jiuzhaigou (九寨沟)!"

"Choosing this hotel for an early morning flight was incredibly convenient. Our stay in the Cloud Enjoy Deluxe Twin Room was perfect. The room itself was spacious and bright, a well-laid-out 48 square meters. The twin beds were just right in terms of firmness, and the soundproofing throughout was exceptional; with the windows closed, we couldn't hear any airport take-off or landing noise at all. The bathroom had a separate shower and toilet, and all the toiletries were provided. The panoramic floor-to-ceiling window offered expansive views of the airport buildings. Inside, the smart temperature control and fresh air system were all top-notch, and the cleaning was meticulous. The biggest highlight of this hotel is the ability to check in and check luggage directly on-site, saving the hassle of queuing at the terminal the next day. We could walk unburdened to the security gate in just a few minutes, and we even received a fast-track security pass. The front desk staff were responsive, professional, and very helpful. Breakfast started at 5:30 AM, perfect for early flights. This is definitely the top choice for airport travel, balancing comfort and efficiency. I'll stay here again on my next layover."

Hotel near Yading Village,Daocheng County
The Yading Zhaxi Kongshu Tibetan Culture Theme Hotel was recently renovated in 2025, making it a fantastic choice for those staying in Daocheng County. This hotel is located near many of Daocheng County's attractions including Daocheng County Yading Balala Cultural Museum, Shano Dorje and Daocheng Yading Viewing Platform. This hotel makes a great place to kick back and relax after a long day of sightseeing. Guests tell us the location of this hotel is fantastic. This hotel is particularly popular with those traveling with friends.

"This was the perfect place to stay inside of Yading Village. If you can handle the altitude, I can't recommend it enough. It was much easier to access the activities within the scenic area, as you avoid the 45 minute bus ride from Shangri-la Town/Riwa into the scenic area. Plus, staying overnight at altitude helps your body adapt and reduced the likelihood of altitude sickness in the higher parts of the scenic area. Staff did not speak English, but were still very helpful and accommodating. I believe my room was upgraded to a duplex suite, which was massive, especially for the price I paid. The view from the room was absolutely incredible, I only wish the windows were cleaner so that I could see it more clearly. But there is a courtyard on the top level that is perfect for taking photos and admiring the view, especially at golden hour. The one cleanliness comment I have is that I wish the trash can in the toilet room had a lid, as it started to smell a bit despite being emptied daily."

Hotel near Ya'an Railway Station,Ya'an
In Ya'an, this city repeatedly drenched by rain, and the misty mountains never rush to be reached. The moment the car stopped, the world seemed to have its volume gently lowered. The air carried a moist warmth, brushing against the skin and the emotions alike. The stone steps unfolded slowly along the greenery, and footsteps were unconsciously lightened. You began to realize that this was not a place to rush into, but rather a carefully designed transition—a withdrawal from the clamor, a retreat from the mundane. The courtyard was not large but just right. The sparse tree shadows filtered the sunlight, casting loose and irregular patches on the ground. Occasionally, a breeze carrying the scent of rain slowly drifted from the nearby woods, lingering here. You could sit for a while, without needing a reason or arranging what to do next. Further inside, there is a sunken courtyard enclosed on all sides. The water is still, almost without ripples, like a gentle interface that gently separates time. The distance between the sunbeds and the walkway is just right—not intrusive, nor distant. People pause here: some read, some close their eyes, and some simply watch the light shift quietly. Time is no longer divided into measurable increments but transforms into a flow that can be perceived. The corridor extends deeper, where the light gradually converges and the sound sinks into a lower layer. Steps here slow down, even with a hint of hesitation, as if unwilling to end this prolonged path too soon. At the end lies the tea room. Stone, wood, and mist combine to create the space's warmth—a cup of tea is just right, a rain shower is just right. In a certain moment, you'll realize this place does not seek to offer any "experience," but rather to restore a rhythm that should naturally belong to the body. The guest room continues this restraint and minimalism. There are no superfluous expressions or deliberate design gestures. During the day, light flows slowly, evenly and softly; at night, the lighting is dimmed to just the right brightness—neither intrusive nor absent. Pushing open the window reveals a lush greenery, the faint outlines of distant mountains veiled by mist, and a rare moment of undisturbed solitude. The space no longer emphasizes function but rather serves as a vessel, holding emotions and quietude alike. In the company of the mountain, a day stretches naturally. The morning begins with a cup of warm coffee, the afternoon lingers in the courtyard, the evening light fades, and the night is gently wrapped by the sound of rain and soft glows. Time is no longer scheduled but unfolds naturally with the rhythm of the body. The place of Ranshi is not one that needs to be remembered. It is more like a brief yet complete pause, allowing one to slowly return to oneself.

"This is my second review because we booked two rooms, and I apologize for all the trouble I caused due to my leg injury. Last night, when I needed scissors, the housekeeping staff waited outside for me to finish using them before taking them back, and they were incredibly polite. I also used a hotel chair to shower, and a staff member brought it up for me. When checking out, I even walked away with the hotel slippers, and they didn't charge me for them. So, I absolutely have to give this hotel a huge thumbs-up. I wish you all the best and continued success!"

The Rezen Retreat · Four Seasons Manju Hotel (Jiuzhaigou Tourist Center) provides a great place for travelers to relax after a busy day. The Rezen Retreat · Four Seasons Manju Hotel (Jiuzhaigou Tourist Center) offers a pleasant stay in Jiuzhaigou for those traveling for business or leisure. This hotel is located near many of Jiuzhaigou's attractions including Tibetan and Qiang Ethnic Song and Dance Theater, Bianbian Street and Minsufengqing Culture Square. This hotel makes a great place to kick back and relax after a long day of sightseeing. This Jiuzhaigou hotel offers parking on site. According to our guests, this hotel provides a very high level of service. This hotel is a popular accommodation for guests traveling with families.

"This is a fantastic hotel, conveniently located just 500 meters from the Jiuzhaigou scenic area entrance, a quick five-minute walk. While it's a bit pricey, seeing other hotels' shuttle buses stuck in traffic in the morning instantly made me feel like it was worth every penny. The hotel's interior design and furnishings are excellent. It boasts a complete XiaoDu smart home system, so you can control the AC, lights, and curtains just by speaking – super convenient. The cleanliness is also top-notch, truly justifying the price; no compromise on quality just because it's near a scenic spot. Finally, I have to give a special shout-out to the front desk lady. Upon check-in, she proactively upgraded me to a scenic view room and shared many helpful tips and important notes about the scenic area. She was incredibly accommodating and had a wonderful attitude towards all my requests. There was a small hiccup when I missed the last bus from the scenic area that evening, and the front desk lady not only helped me contact the scenic area to find a taxi but also stayed on the phone to reassure me. She was so kind, attentive, and incredibly helpful – highly recommend!"

GGuest UserThis is my second time in Chengdu, and this hotel was by far the most comfortable. The room was spacious, and the front desk service was excellent. Before I even checked in, the hotel concierge contacted me to confirm my room and ask about any special requests. We have two children, and they even offered us complimentary breakfast. There's a restaurant on the third floor of the hotel. I spoke with the front desk about needing a private room, and even though I hadn't booked one in advance, they proactively contacted the restaurant on the third floor to reserve a spot for us, which was amazing! The Mingren Jin Hui restaurant on the third floor was incredibly delicious. Next time I'm in Chengdu, Mingren Hotel will definitely be my first choice again.

AAina1008What a wonderful place! Tucked away in the back makes it quiet and serene, while still being at the center of the traditional Wenshu Monastary area. Perfect for all sorts of travelers, i was a solo female and stayed in the dorms with other friendly guests. Lovely inner courtyard with a cafe for relaxing and drinking tea. The staff are all so friendly and ready to give you all the tips on what to do in Chengdu. They speak perfect English as well! There are a lot of regular visitors, since people keep wanting to come back. The rooms are cleaned everyday and beds are made, with fresh towels provided. Everyday felt like I had just checked in, brand new. Breakfast has a range of western (toast, eggs, bacon, yogurt, cereal) or chinese (rice, wontons, fried pancakes..) and fresh fruit that changes from day to day. All ranges of coffee and tea as well. It filled me up well to start my day walking around the city! Definitely recommend to anyone, and I will be staying here next time I visit! Thank you :)

JJinshuiWe stayed in Meishan for a week for a sporting event. The hotel has clearly seen better days—especially compared to many newer properties in the area (aging lifts, worn carpets, etc.). We chose it mainly for three reasons: breakfast, gym/pool, and laundry facilities. 1. Breakfast The daily buffet was solid and met expectations. It featured a typical Chinese spread: hot stir-fried dishes, vegetables, meats, buns, dumplings, fried rice/noodles, porridge, plus a live station for dan dan noodles, eggs, and simple meats like sausage or ham. There was also a rotating Chinese dessert (e.g., red date with longan, green bean soup), along with some Western options like salad greens, yogurt, bread, cake, and fresh fruit. Since we stayed a full week, we appreciated the small variations. That said, we were surprised by the limited fruit selection—mainly oranges and watermelon—especially given the abundance of fresh fruit available locally. Breakfast vouchers are issued daily and must be presented before dining. 2. Gym & Pool This was the biggest disappointment. Both the gym and pool were completely closed, and the entire floor was gutted with no visible renovation activity. It looks like these facilities have been—and will be—out of service for quite some time. This was a major letdown, as it was one of the main reasons we chose this hotel. 3. Laundry There is only one washer and one dryer for the entire building. We were concerned about availability, but only had to wait once. The 15-minute wash cycle helps with turnover. However, the dryer takes a long time and unfortunately shrunk all my cotton clothing. I’d recommend partially drying cotton items and then air-drying them in your room. Package Perks We booked through Trip.com, which included a small daily package: a plate with two oranges and some snacks, complimentary coffee or tea in the lobby, and a free transfer to the high-speed rail station (must be booked at the front desk one day in advance). There were also canned sodas included, which we didn’t use. Room & Noise We were initially assigned a room facing the plaza, which was very noisy. After requesting a change, we were first told the hotel was sold out—but after some persistence, a park-facing room was “found.” This room was significantly better: quiet, bright, and pleasant, with birdsong in the morning. We were told these were actually an upgrade, and that road-facing rooms are even worse due to constant traffic noise. 4. Smart Room Features (“Xiao Du”) We did enjoy the smart room system—“Xiao Du,” which works similarly to Alexa. It can control the curtains, TV, room temperature, and lighting, which is a nice modern touch. However, it was also a bit frustrating at times—for example, it would automatically turn off the lights in the bathroom sink area. The lighting there is already quite dim and not ideal for doing makeup. It would be helpful if the hotel could improve lighting around the mirror (brighter bulbs would make a big difference), or even better, install a mirror by the writing desk near the window where there is natural light. Smoking Smoking is allowed in the hotel, and we did notice it in the lobby, elevators, and corridors. Thankfully, our room itself was fine. Housekeeping turns off the AC and opens windows when cleaning, which seems to help ventilate lingering smoke. Location & Surroundings The hotel is in a convenient area. A nearby park is lovely, with traditional structures and inscriptions related to the Su family. Within a short walk is a lively commercial plaza with restaurants, bubble tea shops, salons (I tried a newly opened nail salon), and more. Getting around via Didi is easy. Overall For the price, the hotel offers decent value. However, the closed fitness facilities were a major downside. If we return, we’d likely try a newer hotel—but this one works if you prioritize cost and location over amenities.

GGuest UserI stayed in the Shangchui King Suite this time, and overall, it was a great experience. The public areas' design continues the mainstream aesthetic of urban resort hotels in recent years, with many design techniques and elements feeling quite familiar – a common high-quality expression used in current high-end hotels. Thanks to the hotel being relatively new, the in-room facilities are clean and pristine. The suite itself is spacious and open, with refined details, making for a very comfortable stay.

GGuest UserI finally found a wonderful place to stay in the city center! My entire stay was incredibly comfortable and smooth, and every aspect exceeded my expectations. I genuinely recommend it to anyone planning a trip ✨ The hotel is located in the absolute heart of the city, offering an unparalleled prime location right in the central business district. It's surrounded by large shopping malls and trendy pedestrian streets. Stepping out, you can immediately dive into shopping, with a full range of fashionable brands, cultural and creative shops, and leisure establishments. This makes both relaxation and shopping incredibly convenient. Whether it's a short getaway or a business stay, your travel routes will be exceptionally smooth, and you won't have to worry about commuting hassles at all. My high-floor room was a delightful surprise. The panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows offered an expansive, boundless view, bringing the entire city landscape right into my sight. During the day, I could look down upon the sprawling buildings and intricate street networks, taking in the vibrant pulse of the city. As night fell, countless lights twinkled on, and the shimmering flow of lights unfolded before my eyes, allowing me to solely enjoy the romantic nightscape of the city. Just standing by the window dissolved all travel fatigue; the view and ambiance were absolutely top-notch. The in-room amenities were incredibly comprehensive. All the equipment was brand new and fully stocked, including smart home features, branded bathroom fixtures, high-quality bedding, and comfortable soft furnishings. The space was elegantly arranged and organized, with a thoughtful and practical wet/dry separation design in the bathroom. Everything was impeccably clean, and the hardware functioned flawlessly. It was quiet and peaceful during rest, striking a perfect balance between quality and practicality, so even a long stay wouldn't feel cramped. Downstairs and in the surrounding area, there's a rich and diverse food scene. Local specialties, exquisite Chinese cuisine, creative light meals, and unique snacks are all scattered around. The variety of cuisines is incredibly wide, with a rich, inviting aroma of local life lingering in the air. Finding meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner was abundant, and I could savor diverse flavors without traveling far. Food lovers will definitely find it hard not to adore this place. What impressed me most was the exclusive butler service; their sense of discretion was just right. From check-in and luggage assistance to travel route inquiries and responding to daily needs, the entire process was meticulous and thoughtful. Their responses were prompt and gentle, proactively caring without being intrusive, fully balancing guests' privacy with an excellent service experience. The location, views, facilities, food, and service were all top-tier, offering both convenience and a high-end living experience. The next time I visit this city, I will definitely choose this place again. I sincerely recommend it to anyone seeking a comfortable travel experience!

They even thought of the dry high-altitude climate and offered moisturizing aloe vera cream. It wasn't cold at all at night, making for a very comfortable stay. In the morning, you could just open the window and see the valley~ The owner was super nice, offering free pick-up and drop-off from the station and attraction entrances, which is incredibly helpful for anyone traveling by bus. The guesthouse lobby also had a good stock of common medicines for emergencies, which was very thoughtful. Overall, a great stay, highly recommend~
