Hyatt Place Tempe/Phoenix/University

Had second thoughts when checking in because I found out it was spring training, local games, very busy BUT I was pleasantly surprised, it was clean quiet and breakfast was great

Came to Phoenix for a relaxing weekend getaway with my pregnant wife. After laying down to sleep the first night, we very quickly realized that our room was located directly in front of a train crossing that went *ding ding ding ding ding ding* all night long every 20-30 minutes. Didn’t get any sleep the first night so we called down to the reception in the morning & asked to move rooms. They said they couldn’t accommodate that but they could offer us ear plugs. They had clearly heard this complaint before. When we came back to the room for the 2nd night, the room hadn’t been serviced, so there were no clean towels, soaps, etc. We were frustrated but tried to keep a positive attitude as my wife is pregnant & we were on this trip as a small getaway. We laid down to sleep the 2nd night and after a couple rounds of the *ding ding ding ding ding* being loud enough to hear through ear plugs, decided that it was too loud & annoying. We packed up our things & left the hotel & drove back home to Las Vegas in the middle of the night. I honestly hate leaving bad reviews but I definitely wouldn’t stay at this property again. Bummer.

We enjoyed our stay! The room was clean and the breakfast was excellent. We stayed at a couple other hotels while visiting Arizona and this one was our favorite.

The property was amazing! Great room & loved the rooftop deck with pool. The staff were nice but many of them were “new” and that’s exactly how they responded to questions or requests…I’m “new” I don’t know…no attempt to find the answer to what you need which was disappointing. We would definitely return and recommend this location but wish the staff cared more about the guests to figure it out and not respond with “I’m new, I don’t know”

Nice big room and bathroom. Breakfast area was spacious and clean. Rooftop bar is not always staff on hours they post, so ask ahead of time.

Very convenient location. Parking is in the ASU self park. The room key worked for it but it still cost 15 bucks a day.

.Perfect location for our visit to ASU. Great check in experience. Hotel is fresh and clean. Parking, although $15 is easy. Will use again.

The roof top pool was amazing with beautiful views of the city. Also the continental breakfast was amazing! We have wheat allergies and usually cannot eat anything served for breakfast at a hotel. The Hyatt provides hot breakfast of scrambled eggs, sausage or bacon and home fries that were all safe for us to eat!
