This place is generally comfortable and decent value. It takes a while to get comfortable and adjust to things. The dorms may lack space to have or open a bag. On days the dorm was full, my sleep quality wasn't that good due to others and some noise throughout. The (1) washrooms gets busy too. So I will recommend a room with less people, like 4 bed. They have cleaning everyday. The 5th and 1st floor are social spaces. Wish they had a proper coffee machine for some black coffee. Their milk tea and milk coffee sachets taste strange for non ********* guests.

Pros: This place has a fantastic rooftop garden where you can hang out - massive plus. The design of the whole hostel was really quite special - quite architectural and so much thought has gone into this place. Free drinks and instant noodles if that’s your bag on the top floor - help yourself. The staff were pleasant and helpful. You can store your luggage in lockers by arrangement. Pretty good downtown location. Cons: Only one toilet and shower in the dormitory we stayed in downstairs - if occupied you had to go onto the street in your pyjamas, swipe your card, and  enter into another doorway next to the one where your dormitory is. All in all a fantastic hostel!

The cover in shared classroom can’t cover the whole space. The space don’t have a small fan too. I feels hot inside.

Great location. The common area at 5th floor is awesome as it is well decorated. Free instant noddles, tea and coke and sprite are provided in the common area. Laundromat is also available at 70 NTD per wash/dry. The hostel is well kept and definitely will recommend all who are on a budget to stay in K. GOLD.

A small hotel with a very unique design. There are free instant noodles on the fifth floor. It is very cost-effective and close to the ophthalmology clinic. We walked slowly to the hotel from Taichung Railway Station. You can also walk to Yizhong Night Market. It is worth recommending.

This is the place where I stayed for a day before leaving the country. It is a 15-minute walk from Taichung Train Station, close to the Hongruijian main branch, and there are many Starbucks and delicious restaurants nearby. I was a little worried because I was told to contact them by phone or Line for self-check-in, but I sent a message via Google Mail and they responded right away, which was nice, and when I actually arrived at the hotel, there was a staff member there so I was able to check in easily. The mixed 10-person dormitory was right next to the reception, so it was a bit cramped, but there was a common space on the rooftop so I was able to use it comfortably. It was nice to have milk tea, coffee, tea, etc. and eat the bread I bought from Hongruijian on the rooftop on the 5th floor. Carbonated drinks are provided for free in the refrigerator, and I think it is a good value for money accommodation. I would stay here next time I visit Taichung alone.

It's close to Taichung Station, and ramen (4 types), juice (2 types), coffee, black tea, and milk tea are free. There are places to relax on the 1st and 5th floors. There are two showers and toilets on the 1st floor and one on the 5th floor, so it's not crowded. It's a very clean hostel with good service, so I'll definitely use it again when I visit Taichung.

It’s good to have free instant noodles and drinks (when I went to get them, someone even plundered all the instant noodles and left only Weili Zhajiang noodles) and the replenishment speed was very fast. The industrial-style toilet was very small and it was a bit difficult for two people to enter. You can borrow a switch, but there are limited places and times to play motorcycles. You can only borrow it for free for 1 hour during holidays. Because it is an old building renovated, the sound insulation is limited.

The environment is very comfortable! I like the overall style very much. The retro switches are very cute. I took a lot of photos of the limited-edition XD. I would like to stay here again next time I go to Taichung. I think the health department is OK, alcohol is provided in the room, and the indoor slippers are also very comfortable! The surrounding area is relatively quiet. The nearby shops close very early, so you have to walk a long way to find food at night (maybe I am taking the wrong route?)

Very average stay experience. Although it is a youth hostel, compared with other hotels, the experience of this one is far inferior to my experience in other hotels. This one only provides mixed accommodation for men and women, so you should choose carefully. The room is very narrow and the air conditioner is very noisy at night. You need to help yourself to remove the pillowcases, quilt covers and sheets when you leave. There is no service at all. I asked a few questions to the front desk when I checked in, and I felt that the attitude was not very good. I will not choose it next time. The location is quite good, very close to the train station.

It is a hotel with a hostel part with shared rooms, very nice and very well decorated, perfect location, very friendly staff and everything spotless. Highly recommended.
