Greetings esteemed reviewers, it is with great dismay that I pen this review to share my recent experience at the Conrad Orchard Singapore which was well below expectation. This isn't my first time to stay here. In a previous review, I had bestowed upon the hotel a rating of four stars and had made mention of the General Manager's name, Oscar Postma, as a mild critique of their performance. My stay had been quite wonderful, albeit marred by their proclivity towards complacency in providing minor special requests. However, I found myself the subject of ill-treatment at the hands of the hotel's personnel. Their behavior was nothing short of bullying, as they proceeded to pursue punitive measures against my top-tier membership in their esteemed chain of hotels, ultimately resulting in its suspension. The road to reinstatement was replete with challenges, and I was disconcerted by their unseemly conduct, which seemed to be directed towards punishing me for my candid review. It is my duty to warn other fellow reviewers that these individuals are not to be mistaken for gentlemen of standing and refinement, but rather, they utilize tactics that are more in line with the mindset of a thug, targeting those who dare to voice their concerns. Any potential guest at the Conrad Orchard Singapore should be prepared to navigate such hostility. In summation, I find the behavior of the hotel's personnel to be wholly unacceptable, and I would caution any prospective guests to prepare themselves accordingly. It is my sincere hope that this review serves as a warning to all who might consider a stay at this establishment.

It’s our first time here and we will definitely come back again. Stayed for 5 days & 4 nights. We’re very happy and satisfied with our stay. The location is very good and convenient, its only five minutes walk to Orchard Rd. The room was very nice, looks like it just renovated. Pillows and bed were very comfortable. There’s also a Nespresso machine in the room. Breakfast buffet spread was good. Staff were very welcoming, friendly and attentive. The bonus part is that we get full access to the pantry (24 hours) where you can take anything (they have all kinds of drinks & snacks)

On behalf of the young adults from Church of the Ascension, we want to express our gratitude to Emmanuel Joshua Formeloza and his dedicated team at MYMCA for being such wondeful hosts - our young adults had a blessed and wonderful time during our retreat at MYCMA. Joshua had been so helpful and flexible from the moment we got in touch and I appreciate how Joshua and his team made our stay at MYMCA so pleasant. Thank you for accommodating our (sometimes) last minute changes and ”custom” requests. It also helped us to keep within budget.  Thank you once again for all the arrangements you made for us. You even arranged for your colleagues to provide water for us - I don't remember that being part of the package - we are so thankful for this bonus as it did come in handy when the young adults got thirsty.   Your sound system was also fantastic! We got to experience the quality during our sessions when our young adults led in music and praise. Thank you so much
The Assembly Place at Stevens, Service Residences

Orchard Road
We used to stay in the same facility before it was taken over by Assembly. I must say that it has come down in quality and value, quite dramatically. Covid may account for some of the decline for sure, but my impression is that this Assembly organization is in hot pursuit of every penny or percentage increase in ROI that they can eke out, or squeeze out of their customers. The staff is smaller and less customer oriented, and it seems that they are doing the minimum required of their owner/management because they are being paid the minimum possible (my educated guess based upon many visits in the past 10 years, and many casual conversations with others). Here is what we witnessed. The room was not yet renovated, so the price (i believe) was a bit lower than the renovated units. Nonethless, there is no excuse for the lack of housekeeping services rendered (I think it was just once or twice per week that the unit was serviced). Upon arrival : The unit is far less desirable than the many other 58 Stevens units we have rented in the past. 1. Upon walking in we smell a very unpleasant moldy, musty odor and upon looking around it seems there is mold on the kitchen window shade. See pictures attached. 2. A week ago I called directly to Assembly to ask or request if there was a suitable and safe pan for frying eggs and such. I was told there should be. However, upon a quick look at the pan it is evident that it is broken, and worn thru the cooking surface, not at all suitable for safe use. There were no pots either, and only after complaining to the front desk, the attendant was nice enough to dig up a new set of pots for us to use. Outside vendors, car drivers, etc. seem to be allowed to smoke their cigarettes in front of 58 Stevens, and are allowed to leave a pile of cigarrette butts at the entrance to the residences. See pictures..
