MANJU SEMPORNA RESORT

MANJU SEMPORNA RESORT

Semporna|4.41km from downtown
Staying at Manju Linshe Resort was the wisest decision I made during this trip to Semporna, and I highly recommend it. The boss is Cantonese and very nice. Most of the employees are Chinese and communication is smooth. Accommodation: The room is spacious and the flowers in the yard are beautiful and comfortable. Much more comfortable than the hotels in Semporna town. OK: The hotel is 10 minutes away from the town's sea pier. There is a car to pick you up and drop you off every day when you go out to sea and island hopping. Just tell the boss the location on WeChat. Food: The boss personally leads a team to the seafood market to bargain for prices. Huge Pipi shrimps can cost dozens of yuan, and Samui and Dongxing Pan can cost dozens of yuan each. Three kilograms of lobster cost several hundred yuan. And the hotel makes it according to the requirements, and the taste is not inferior to that of domestic five-star hotels. Play: The boss can help you book a sea trip at any time. We booked two lines. After having fun, we decided to book a third line. The boss directly booked the ship for departure the next day at the original price. Summary: Semporna is mainly about island hopping and eating cheap seafood. I originally wanted to live on an island, but the price was expensive, so I had to book it months in advance. If you live on an island, you cannot jump to other islands. And you can only eat buffets on the island. The living conditions in the town are much worse, and there are so many people and it’s chaotic. Cheap seafood is one of Semporna’s special features. Staying at Manju Linshe Resort, you can eat seafood freely at one-tenth the domestic price. I earned my travel expenses back after eating for three days. I jumped on all three lines of the island hopping tour. Saw the beautiful scenery of the island. The seafood is delicious, and it costs the most for a day on the island. Plus the boss's home-like service. Don't be too happy with the price/performance ratio.

The Wizard of Oz Resort Semporna

Semporna|4.35km from downtown
Friends who go to Semporna must not miss this hotel! For three days in Semporna, I stayed at the Wizard of Oz for the first two days and experienced the water house on the last night. First of all, this store has a comfortable environment. Each room is a separate small tree house. The birds are singing and the flowers are fragrant outside. It is very relaxing to get up early and take a walk outside. Secondly, the service is very attentive. The hotel provides pick-up and drop-off from the pier at almost any time. The hotel staff, from the boss to the receptionist to the driver, are super proactive, considerate and helpful. We arranged airport pick-up and drop-off from Tawau to Semporna at a reasonable price. Within two days of our stay, we were contacted in advance to confirm the pick-up and drop-off time at the pier. We were also proactively asked if we needed help with island hopping, and even cared about us. If you want to have lunch, the driver can pick us up and drop us off for dinner (actually we have already made an appointment for a full day of island hopping that day, so we can take care of our three meals by ourselves). On the last day, we chose to experience the water house. We hope that after checking out the next day, the lady sister can help make an appointment for a drop-off at Tawau Airport. The lady will not ignore us just because we have already left the hotel. She is still willing to help us after 10 o'clock in the evening. We contact the driver, and everyone will still care about whether they got on the bus on time the next day. There are many similar details, and it feels really cordial to encounter such a store in a foreign country! A boss who operates with care will definitely have a prosperous business! Looking forward to seeing you again!

Ocean Inn Semporna

Ocean Inn Semporna

Semporna|0.25km from downtown
Upon arrival at the airport, things just went downhill. My wife had booked a ride from Ocean Inn from the airport to their hotel prior to our arrival. Our ride never showed up even after my wife confirmed with the hotel staff. Called them and not one response after several calls. Great way to confirm everything and then leave your customers high and dry. We ended getting our own ride. Ocean Inn hotel is situated in a what I would consider a more or less slum area. I saw multiple locals finish their drinks and then tossed their trash over into the sea when there’s garbage cans just a few feet from them. There’s a lot of garbage sunken and floating in the water everywhere. Countless rats scurrying on the ground and roofs in broad daylight. The area reeks of sewage. When we checked in, the gal in the front didn’t like her job. No greetings. No smiles. No friendly service. Not sure if it’s a cultural thing that I’m misunderstanding. I felt like she didn’t want to help us. Never did. The entrance of the front desk had an overwhelming smell of mothball. In our room, my wife found strands of hair between the sheets and blanket. The room smelled mildewy. The restroom smelled like a heavily used public restroom. The shower pressure trickled. I just don’t know how some of these reviewers gave this place a 3-5 stars. Absolutely baffled!!! Overall, there’s little nice things to say about Ocean Inn except that the AC works well. I’ll let you readers run wild with your own imagination that I’m painting. I would never come back here again. Thank goodness it was just for one night stay.
MY Rainforest Semporna

MY Rainforest Semporna

Semporna|0.54km from downtown
At first glance, I feel that the homestay is not very good, but after staying, it feels great, very warm, and very warm. It is a caring homestay with a clean and quiet environment. There is no shortage of restaurants around. The yard is breezy during the day and the flowers are scented at night. Behind the center of the sea, I feel that the tropical rain forest is the right choice. The handsome and handsome manager speaks Cantonese. The hotel also has two fixed-point vehicles to pick up and drop off to the town center. Breakfast is different for three days. The free afternoon tea is simple, but delicious. The room Not big and clean. The first time I went to Semporna, I only booked a room. It turns out that the tropical rain forest can also be booked for a day trip to island hopping. Compared with the Internet, the site will be similar to the online booking. So I booked three islands for a day. I thought it was with other people. After joining the group, we found that it was a group of 4 of us, and three of us served us. Among them, diving guides and professional underwater photography of the thin brother Big Fei from the fat world, regardless of snorkeling and snorkeling, all followed to help take pictures, and the little black brother pulled it. The lifebuoy is always taken to watch the underwater world, and the service is extremely considerate. The next day, I reported the deep diving experience to the child. Fortunately, I haven't booked an island hopping tour online before. When booking on the spot, Brother Dafei will patiently explain to us how to play. Summarizing the tropical rain forest, I booked a homestay for two more days.

POM POM Island Resort

Pom Pom Island

I Love U BnB Semporna
3.4/54 Reviews
When I was doing the strategy guide, I saw someone mention this homestay because there is a communal kitchen for cooking, and I made a decisive decision. For the three nights in Semporna, only 2 of them were booked. This is too popular. When I arrived, I found it was really worth it. The environment of the homestay is very good, and the sanitation is very clean. There is a complete kitchen and condiments in the communal kitchen. There is a big yard for drying clothes. The housekeeper is very nice. The boss I happened to meet was the boss wife. In the morning, they drove us to the pier. There is also breakfast. Really great value for money. I changed 3 hotels in 7 days in Sabah, and this one is the most comfortable and cleanest. Same as my own home.
7 Inn Semporna
4.1/527 Reviews
My friend and me booked 2 rooms in total and stayed 4 nights in. Opposite 7 inn there is Basar malam, a Mcdonald, a cafe opposite and a gas station with mini mart, living here is convenient. However it’s a bit far to the harbour by 1km. So, they provide free transport to any potion of the town area, just WhatsApp the driver and he always turn up to pick up us on time! We called at least 5 times of pick up service as considering 7 inn was around 1km from harbour that every excursion starts so by walking it will be 10-15 mins. The container room is spacious with a lovely balcony with 2 chairs. Shared toilet and shower is located at each storey and with like 3 showers and 3 WCs. Bed is spacious and with good pillow and mattress always make me fall asleep easily. In general, I do appreciate 7 inn although I did not encounter many tourists during my stay due to Covid and the entire semporna looks still not yet recovered to before. By the way, 7 inn do not provide drying cloth service but they will send you to a nearby laundry to do washing and drying if you need it. This is very important as our clothes are unable to dry up during our entire stay although 2 of the 4 days are sunny day…

The location is very good, very close to the pier, the bedding is clean and comfortable, you need to take off your shoes when entering the door. When you check in very late, the boss will always wait for you The boss can speak a little Chinese and is very enthusiastic. The recommended supper is also delicious. recommended stay The only thing to note is that he is on the third floor, not the second!
Larapan Water Village

A very wonderful water house experience. First of all, the boss answers questions very attentively and seriously. Every detail is considerate for tourists. Both pick-up and drop-off are well arranged. There are three meals a day. The breakfast, lunch and dinner taste good and the ingredients are fresh! There are also arrangements for afternoon tea! In the snorkeling area arranged by the boss, you can see a lot of corals and small fish, and you can have a panoramic view of the underwater world. The waters are more beautiful than the island hopping we arranged ourselves. There are two beds and a sofa bed in the room, which is more convenient for bringing children. You can see the sea view from every window, and it is also very pleasant to sit on the balcony!
Jelly Sea Resort
4.6/533 Reviews
I chose a lot of hotels, and finally I chose this one. The actual stay experience exceeded my expectations. I lived in Capalle a few days ago. I felt much better here. First of all, the room is very large, similar to Capalle, but newer than Capalle, the butler's service is much better than Capalle, you can be on call, you don't have to grab dinner, there are many seafood for dinner, and the drinks are free to drink, exceeding expectations; The signal is also good, many activities are free, Capalle has to pay separately The surrounding sea view is very beautiful, the room can go snorkeling in the sea, there are a lot of starfish and fish that don’t know the name The activity space is actually quite large. There are more than 10 rooms next door, which is twice the size of the current area. The boss said that there will be an infinity pool. I am very looking forward to it. In short, Amway has given it to friends. Next time I come to Semporna, I will continue to choose Jelly Seawater House. Free Snorkeling: Free shuttle bus transfer: Facilities: very new and nice Hygienic: clean and tidy Environment: Superb, the most beautiful sea I have ever seen Service: The most commendable part, the housekeeper can be on call, and the staff will keep smiling
