Hotels near Haitang Bay in Sanya

Grace did a great job as butler for our stay at Atlantis Sanya Hotel. We are very happy with her service. Hotel amenities were fantastic, and customer service went above and beyond when we had issues with the air conditioning in our room. We will certainly stay again!

I wanted to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the whole crew for the exceptional customer service they provided during my recent stay at the hotel. But I would like to give a SPECIAL MENTION TO MIKI her attentiveness, professionalism, and warm demeanor truly made my experience memorable and enjoyable. The price is very high, the scenery from the balcony is also very good, the sound insulation is also good, there is a separate elevator card, so it will be relatively quiet, there will be no noise from the building and the room, the housekeeper is also very considerate, this price is very satisfied, downstairs The parking is also very convenient. Parking in Sanya is the most convenient parking place I live in. Other accommodations are not good for parking. The takeaway is also very good. I strongly recommend

Sofitel has outstanding facilities. I selected the hotel specifically because of the activities that are build around younger children 4-9 yrs. There is a daily schedule for kids including cooking, go kart introduction sessions, foam party at the kids pool. For the fancy things you will have to pay e.g. Kayaking at the pool. We had a room with direct pool access which was the most used feature of the holiday by the young ones. The are several pools including an infinity pool closer direction beach. No swimming area at the beach. So don’t expect a dip into the sea. We stayed either at our room with direct pool access or at the main pool next to the children’s play and pool area. Three slides at the kids area including one with tubes only for children) Breakfast is excellent! I blame it for gaining weight. Plus you can get food till 11am. Big plus The restaurants at the hotel are very good. One Thai and one Chinese. But not really an every day option for me. Basic dishes start at ard 100 RMB and a Beef Curry ist at 170 RMB. No IPA or Craft beer on the beer list. Location is “only” 4 out of 5. There’s nothing within walking distance of the hotel. No restaurant, no bar or anything. So if you wanna go anywhere plan 30-60 min commuting by Didi / Taxi. Overall a fantastic stay and a big thank you to Nikki. She did a great job as experience manager at Sofitel and is a huge help if you are struggling with Chinese topics.

The air conditioning in the room is very cool. You can see the sea as soon as you step out of the balcony. When you wake up in the morning, you can see the beautiful sunrise while lying on the bed. There are many pairs of slippers prepared in the house, as well as a pair of children's slippers, which is very careful. In addition to the normal toiletries, there are also sewing and thread shower caps, combs, razors, makeup remover cotton swabs and nail files. I was really touched by these small details. In addition, the housekeeper is also very kind, which makes me want to stay here next time.

The location is very good! It is in the same building area as Rosewood Poly, so you can go to various restaurants and bars in Rosewood Poly next door to eat, and there are all public areas and beaches downstairs that you can share! The apartment room is very large, and the microwave and refrigerator are very powerful! The most important thing is that the price is affordable, and the waiters, brothers and sisters are also very nice!

Wonderful stay with 1 hotel! Lovely hotel and excellent service from all the staff. Especially our butler Ms. Zoe, will check with me daily on my needs and go the extra mile to find out the information for me when I have a payment issue with Alipay and need cash withdrawal from an ATM. Zoe specially arranged birthday decorations and cake in the room for my partner's birthday. I will return to 1 hotel when I revisit Sanya. Thank you.

Actually I was trying to cancel the booking 3days before our trip, just because the beach in Haitang bay is not appropriate to swim (too dangerous). However by lucky they “refused” my cancel application while upgraded my order to the 180 angle ocean view room! This finally gave us a chance to experience a tremendous journey at Rosewood. Fantastic view, great facilities, wonderful services (reception, concierge, bartender, restaurant waitress, housekeepers etc). We really enjoyed everything during our stay, esp the celebration of our 9th anniversary! See you around Rosewood Sanya.

I wouldn’t stay here again. It’s not worth it. In my 5+ years of living in China and using Trip.com, this is the first time I’ve ever written a poor review. I should start by saying that the staff are incredibly courteous, just mostly incompetent. Out of the staff, there was only Vito, who was kind and prompt with check-in and follow up. Everyone else who works there of course has a very difficult job, and while they had a few mistakes here and there, I understand that 端午节 can be a very busy time of year. In those cases, the manager Brian was very kind to try and help resolve them. However, overall the hotel has policies in place that are just unacceptable. Firstly, after checking in I was told that there would be a music festival happening right next to the hotel. So for 2 days, I had to listen to nonstop EDM through the afternoon and night. It was so bad that my room would literally vibrate with the music until midnight. If I had been warned of this ahead of time, I would have chosen another place. But instead they chose the sneaky route and did not say anything until I had already paid the deposit and was in the room. So shady. Secondly, Trip.com lists this place as having an “exclusive beach area” but there was nothing of the sort. There IS a path to the beach, but on the way there you will come across a sign that says it is in no way linked to Shangri-La. There are a small amount of beach chairs out there, but again, they say this isn’t their property so I was worried the whole time that I was intruding. In addition, it’s still quite a bit of a walk, so remember to bring all your own things (water, towel, snacks, etc) because getting back to the property will take some time. Also, the area does not permit swimming. That is of course something they cannot control, but if you are hoping to swim in the ocean, this will disappoint you. Thirdly, breakfast was a mess. I am fully aware that things are different over a holiday, but they couldn’t fit everyone in the restaurant so they had to set up an additional “breakfast area” that had about half the choices—and then shove you away in this little crowded ballroom. I learned the second day that there was a patio option with no wait, and I actually had wanted to sit outside anyway, but no one told me this was available. Even then, I had to ask for my own cutlery (they gave me a children’s set), they did not wipe down the tables, and no one paid any attention to me until I finally showed some frustration. Fourth, the place is very much geared towards families. This place has the most “children-friendly” resources out of every Sanya hotel I’ve stayed in, and if you are a parent this is of course great. However, if you are looking for a quiet retreat, I recommend you look somewhere far far away. For my entire stay, I had to deal with screaming kids and their louder-screaming parents (two families got in a screaming match at the pool, and no one did anything except stare). It is definitely something to be aware of when planning your stay. Honestly, I wanted to spend as little time at the property as possible. It was just too frustrating, too loud, too disorganized, and a waste of my money. This place is taking advantage of the name “Shangri-La” to overcharge you.

First day check-in was a bit tough as I arrived early in the morning. Room was ready 2 PM. Room didn’t meet my “clean” expectation, so I had to ask for second round of cleaning. I understand it was busy weekend & so many guests to take care of. For this part, Manager Davidson Dong was very helpful! I got room cleaned around 7 PM and he helped me using the Club Lounge in the mean time. Because the trip is for my birthday, the hotel also provided birthday cake & the rose bed. Hotel gym was nice & spacious - but didn’t have smith machine. Beach seems like ‘not’ private exclusive beach - without sun bed - but public without lifeguard. I could fly a drone at the beach, but not in the garden of the hotel - for guest privacy reasons. Overall, it was an amazing experience here at Grand Hyatt. Thank you.
