Sheraton Sanya Haitang Bay Resort

The room given to us is really far, need ti walk very far from the lobby. Unsure why the room is warm. Breakfast is acceptable but not very suit our taste bud. Service for the staff are good but eventually is an old hotel and thus the hardware may not be in tip top conditions.

Sheraton… was good… 5 stars drop 2 .. The bed is ok .. The shower is ok The swimming pools.. too old.. Beach.. they don’t have nothing.. Service… not available.. Choose another hotel and wait for renovations See the view from the room we have and see the photos they promote

So nice to be there spending my first visit sanya is a huge hotel with 4 pool and many kids facilities but they also separate the adult area I like the view and the room is very comfortable

We stayed at Sheraton Sanya Haitang Bay Resort for 5 nights. Pros: - Spacious, clean, and modern rooms. - Beautiful hotel grounds overall. - Excellent breakfast with a wide selection of both Asian and Western dishes. Cons: - Very limited English spoken by the staff. Yes, we understand we are in China, but choosing Sheraton comes with the expectation that staff would at least know some basic English. Communication at the reception was only through a translator app, which often failed. - Housekeeping of the grounds and especially the pools needs improvement. Some pools had dirty, stagnant water that even turned green in places. - The beach does not actually belong to the hotel. After a typhoon, there was a lot of trash washed ashore, and it was only cleaned up after two days and only because guests specifically requested it. It feels like nothing gets done unless you ask. - A red flag stayed on the beach the entire time, so we couldn’t swim there. We ended up going to Yalong Bay or to the neighboring Hyatt beach. - In September there was nothing to do in the hotel: no entertainment, no sports or evening activities, it felt as if the season was already over. - Overall, the resort doesn’t really seem to be prepared for international tourists. We had a good time overall, but mainly because of ourselves rather than the hotel staff. This was far from the Sheraton standard we expected. The resort needs to improve its service, pool maintenance, and overall guest experience if it wants to meet the brand reputation. Мы провели в Sheraton Sanya Haitang Bay Resort 5 ночей. Плюсы: - Просторные, чистые и современные номера. - Территория отеля красивая и ухоженная в целом. - Отличные завтраки: большой выбор как азиатской, так и западной кухни. Минусы: - Практически полное отсутствие англоговорящего персонала. Да, мы понимаем, что находимся в Китае, но когда выбираешь Sheraton, ожидаешь хотя бы базового английского. Общение через переводчик на ресепшене часто приводило к недопониманиям. - Уборка территории и особенно бассейнов оставляет желать лучшего. В некоторых бассейнах вода стоячая и даже позеленевшая. - Пляж отелю не принадлежит, и после тайфуна мусор убрали только спустя два дня и лишь после просьбы гостей. Создаётся впечатление, что пока не попросишь персонал что-то сделать, ничего не изменится. - На пляже всё время висел красный флаг, поэтому купаться не удалось. Приходилось ездить на Ялонг Бей или ходить в соседний Hyatt. - В сентябре в отеле скучно: нет анимации, спортивных или вечерних мероприятий, складывается ощущение, что сезон для них уже закончился. - В целом создаётся впечатление, что иностранных туристов здесь особо не ждут. Сам отдых был приятным, но скорее благодаря нам самим, а не сервису отеля. Это точно не тот уровень Sheraton, о котором мы были наслышаны. Отелю нужно серьёзнее работать над сервисом, чистотой бассейнов и отношением к гостям.

The breakfast staff were absolutely fantastic. I had a few issues with various things but the hotel ambassador sorted everything out with ease. Make sure you have wechat before you go.

I personally really did not enjoying my stay at this hotel. I felt it was more of a mainstream Chinese tour group hotel than an international high-end brand. The breakfast was so busy full of so many people the swimming pools were really bad. Are they too small and weird shaped and closed. you can’t swim on the beach here. There was only two check in staff for 1 million people so expect to have to wait to check in. If you have kids, maybe it’s fine but for Western tourists especially those without kids I would strongly recommend not to stay here.
