The service was quite good, check-in was a little bit challenging due to misunderstanding about paying the deposit- it got resolved after a while- language barrier was the main issue. Nonetheless everything went well but had to call the cleaning service on the second day (no idea why it took so long for them to come through, anyways- cleaning was done). The staff at the reception is welcoming, very friendly and helpful with the luggage. All in all, the hotel is a very good spot I must say.

Sara was assigned to help us during our 2 night stay. She is efficient and very helpful as she was answering all my questions before and during the trip from transportation to places to visit in sanya, to weather. We booked a family suite for the trip and the room was huge and spacious, with an ocean facing view. I can even see the lights on the tower near phoenix island from the living room. Our stay was comfortable and it really made me feel at ease. The pool was awesome and there was even an arcade in the hotel. There were only two things to improve - food and bed. Buffet breakfast and BBQ dinner, there were a few hits and misses in terms of taste and our bed was a little too hard for our back but hey we can ask for diff types of pillow so plus minus. Overall I will recommend this hotel to relax and chill. Last thing to note for foreigners, if your return flight is at the international airport instead of domestic to other parts of china, don't bother going to cdf. You can't buy anything as there is no collection counter in the international airport. We didn't know and wasted four hours at cdf.

Great stay. We booked 2 similar rooms but got a free upgrade for one of the rooms. The villa was awesome but the pool access room was also really nice, both had very easy and quick access to the beach and the staff was always kind and fast in helping us. From the stay to the buffet dinner and breakfast to the way the staff dealt with us made it a chill and relaxing trip. There were a bunch of activities we didn’t even get to do and still had lots of fun!

We were guests in this hotel for the third time. We were left with wonderful impressions and that is why we chose it again. And we are delighted again! The hotel is in a wonderful location, Dadonghai Bay. It has its own territory with swimming pools. The breakfast was for every taste. Varied and delicious! On the territory of the hotel there are several restaurants, shops, children's club, etc. The service staff is at an excellent level. My personally thanks to Vanessa! Firstly the concierge at the front desk was easy to contact before arriving at the hotel. My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary so I asked them to plan ahead whatever they could and they prepared some cake and a romantic bed setup. The front desk clerk was available at most times during the day if we had any questions or requests. The selected villa room was spacious and very comfortable. Room service did a good job daily and they were very understanding. The hotels facilities are pretty great. All maintained well. The location of the hotel is superb for yalong bay, it’s walking distance from the beach. The breakfasts weren’t bad either, and the breakfast time was up until 12:00 which is amazing. This was a fantastic experience and I’d recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Sanya for leisure.

Staying at Crowne Plaza was an absolute joy. I couldn’t be happier with the experience I had. The area where the hotel is located is peaceful and serene. The rooms are clean and specious. I was so pleased to get an upgrade although the season seems to be really busy here. The sea view is stunning. The hotel has got an amazing pool as well with all amenities needed. It was just lovely to relax and unwind next to the pool or at the balcony. All the meals were delicious, especially breakfast. Perhaps staff/waiters at the restaurant could work on their communication in English which would make them more approachable. The absolute highlight was meeting an exceptionally skilled and professional member of staff Spring, who’s responsible for guests relations. His English was amazing and he was extremely helpful, from the moment I checked in to the very last minute of my stay at the hotel. He made my stay here even more special. Overall, I must say that the Crowne Plaza hotel in Sanya and their staff have exceeded my expectations and I am so looking forward to being back.

The room was very nice and the view from the balcony was stunning. But there were multiple issues. It took them 40 minutes to check-in, at which time there were 2 power outages. The phone in my room didn’t work, and there were issues with scanning the room service QR code. There was left over food in my fridge also. There is also the issue of false advertising regarding the infinity pool which is non-existent. To top it all off, at 01:00, the fire alarm went off in my room for no reason. The staff are very nice, particularly Harry the lifeguard who went out of his way on multiple occasions to help me when I injured my finger. The issue regarding a lack of English speakers in SanYa is true.

The hotel is beautifully located, but getting there was a bit complicated. The taxi driver dropped us off at the entrance gate of Yalong Park, and we had difficulty reaching the hotel. Despite sending an email in advance asking for the WeChat contact, we received no response. We only managed to reach the hotel by phone with the help of a kind lady at the entrance, who arranged for our luggage to be picked up at the park gate. The room (Peacock villa nr. 5017) was truly beautiful and worth seeing, simply wonderful. It was also very clean, and the air conditioning was strong and effective. We dined at the Thai restaurant, but the dishes had a strong Chinese influence, which might not appeal to all Western guests. Unfortunately, the Western restaurant was closed during our stay. We were transported to the various attractions in the park by a VIP shuttle bus. Leo provided us with his WeChat contact, which made exploring the park possible despite our lack of Chinese language skills. English is not spoken at the hotel, which made communication challenging. Leo had to send us the tickets for the attractions via WeChat, which was a bit complicated. It would have been more convenient if the tickets were provided at check-in. Overall, the hotel is truly worth seeing, but one night is sufficient in our opinion. Checking out was also hassle-free, but the 1000 RMB deposit was only refunded upon request. We particularly want to thank Leo for his exceptional efforts in ensuring we had a wonderful stay. His assistance was invaluable and greatly enhanced our experience. In summary, a beautiful hotel with some logistical challenges, but definitely worth a visit.

We stayed in 4 different hotels during this vacation and Pullman Yalong was by far the most disappointing one, although to be honest part of it comes from expectations. Pullman Yalong is a decent 3-4 star hotel, whose main problem is that expectations associated with the brand make it seem to be something it is not. Chinese breakfast is actually quite decent and has a wide range including MaLaTang, if you are craving Western food though it probably isn't worth the price. They have a big sign near the lobby recommending that you should not bring delivery food to your room, due to health and safety reasons, but feel free to ignore that. We ordered both room service and outside delivery on several occasions and deliveries were definitely a better option. Plus there is a food court and a supermarket not far from the hotel. The pool is quite big and its lower section is well shaded as well which a plus. However it was a major disappointment that the slide was closed(long term) as well as the cool cave you might see on the hotel's photos. On top of that there are some downright ridiculous designs ideas including a horrible pool access and sharp edge stairs inside the pool. The beach in Yalong is all public, but the access to it is limited by occasional path between some of the front row resorts. What this means in practice is that you will have a bit of a walk having to go around Marriot in Pullman's case. The room was OK, even had a bath and a walk-in wardrobe. The high point was the balcony above the pool. Signs of disrepair are visible around the hotel, but to be honest this seems to be the Yalong/Sanya standard at least for the 4 star hotels we stayed in. Jacky, I hope I got the name right, who worked in the lobby/shuttle car was great though. Not because he spoke good English(which he did), but because he had a problem solving attitude and wasn't afraid to approach guests to offer help.
