Patong Bay Hill Resort

Patong Beach Phuket|1.84km from Air Force Phuket Report Station
Location: quite difficult to locate, some bolt drivers got lost trying to find the entrance Check in: was a breeze, but had to pay a deposit of 5000baht which we were not informed of even in trip or confirmation email, i wish this was more transparent. It will only be returned to you during check out after housekeeping staff check your room( it will be deducted any item is damaged or missing) - After check in, shuttle will bring you up as the rooms are location on top, lobby at the bottom of the hill. The shuttle was very dangerous , if you are with luggage, going up the hill theres no buckle to hold on to your luggage if you do not hold on to it tight enough, it will just roll off the shuttle , we were also not warned about the steep slope. > our room was located in the middle of the blocks, so the shuttle dropped us at the bottom and we had to climb the stairs with our luggages, the staff did not want to help us carry at first. - no shelter at all at the lobby, if its raining, then you’ll have to walk under the rain to the shuttle. - you can request the shuttle to drive you from your room to the lobby/vise versa as it is not really convenient with the hill and STEPS. -The first 2 days, staff was fine, all good driving us up and down whenever we called, then out of a sudden, they asked us to use the ‘shortcut’ to our room. Did not specify why, but we rejected after walking the FLOCK OF STAIRS for a day, they were at least 5 stories steep mind you. - if you do not wish to take the stairs, you may walk up/ down the hill, which is VERY dark during night time. Check out: worst day of all, they called your room at 1145 to rush you to check out, said will send a shuttle to OUR ROOM but did not specify which block they will be waiting at, we waited but no one came to our room. After waiting for 5mins? We are unsure if we should carry our luggages up or down to the different pickup point, so i used the staff phone outside to phone the lobby to clarify. The staff answering the phone did not even bother to listen to my question, she just answered, ‘check out? Yes ok we will send a shuttle’ then i asked again, WHICH BLOCK SHOULD I WAIT AT?? And she replied me ‘CHECK OUT YES OR NO?’ I said YES, then she just said OK and ENDED MY CALL. In the end, we had to carry our down luggage, without any help, up the steep stairs, and the shuttle WASN’T even there. We waited for extra 5-10mins before the shuttle came. check out: at the lobby, had to wait 10mins for housekeeping to check our rooms before we can check out successfully and get our deposit back. At the same time I had already feedback my encounter to the manager at the lobby, which said she will take care of if later. She’s fine, she apologized. > and finally it was our turn to collect the deposit, the same lady who pickup and ended my call, called out to me. ‘NI HAO NI HAO( hello hello in mandarin) I was so offended, not every asian looking person can understand mandarin and she could have spoken to me in english cause I spoke to her manager in english right? Its obvious that she did not want to speak to me probably cause i feedback about her. All in all, i will not recommend this hotel. Thank you.

Lucky Patong Hotel

Patong Beach Phuket|1.51km from Air Force Phuket Report Station
We, two adults and 1 small kid stayed five nights at Lucky Patong, the staff are all very friendly, the room is very clean with balcony, water is strong and hot enough. Air conditioning is also cold enough. There are water boiler, small fridge (very cold), TV (although we have never turned it on), clean towels, toiletries, free mineral water provided every day. Breakfast (three choices) are delicious, they cook it right after you ordered. Their wifi is speedy which is amazing, each floor has its own router. The bed is comfortable and big enough for a family of three including kid (ours is 4 years old). The price is really cheap including breakfast, unbelievable! (we paid 5 nights for only a night at other hotels) The location is okay, it takes 15-20 minutes to Patong Beach on foot or 5 mins by tuk tuk at around 150 bht. Restaurants, 7-Elevens, massage shops are nearby. There is a traveling agency next to the hotel but we recommend you to go check at the other agencies first and you may get a better price, we thought the price we paid to the agency was good but after checking we could have saved a lot of money if we spend more time to another agencies. For instance going to Khao Lak they said it’s with small group at 650 bht per adult but at the end we have been dropped in the middle of nowhere and transferred to an air conditioning public bus to Khao Lak and I was told by the ticket conductor the bus fare is just 100 bht per person. And other excursions as well, they are much more expensive than the others. So don’t go to the agency next to Lucky. But I highly recommend Lucky Patong Inn. it’s really worth to stay when you come to Phuket.

We all know hotels, like everything else, are a matter of personal taste. So, this is my personal taste. I have been visiting the Patong for decades and while I’ve only stayed at a few hotels, I have seen most of them. From very expensive to very inexpensive. Do not be deceived by its rating, because the reality is, very different. You might find the décor old, but I like that it’s a solid dark wood style. The webpage is out of date, let’s hope it’s updated soon. At the moment, I have a separate kitchen and lounge/bedroom area. But here is what sets it apart from any other hotel in Patong. The view from the balcony is absolutely, stunning. Waking up every day surrounded by a Thai jungle is spectacular and only 11 minutes’ drive from the town. So, you do need transport, it is high in the mountains, which I love. On hot days it is cool up here. On top of that is that it is very affordable. Do read all the other reviews of how good the owners and staff are. I will be returning every time. John Gowland 19th January 2023

This place is a great find in Patong, it's a diamond in the rough. Patong is a rough, noisy place with the unfriendly type of tourists, corrupt cops and many locals bothering you constantly and trying to scam you for money. But this hotel is a great place and you can't hear any motorbikes at night because the street ends at the hotel. It's quiet, with many friendly people and the rooms are clean, big, air conditioning, tv, and fridge all work perfectly. The owner is very nice and friendly. His English is also very good for an Italian!! 😁 😄 I stayed at many hotels in Patong cause I was stuck here and I couldn't sleep well at the others. This place is great!!

Staff go out their way to be helpful and always have a smile. BBQ really really good and at great value. Room size is great and nice size bed. And comfortable. Aircon was a dream. Would recommend as value for money is great here it’s on a hill, it’s in its name but is quite away from busy traffic and load bars. A hotel for all

Nice hotel, we stayed here for 17 days. The hotel is located on a hill, so it is better to check in if you are on a bike. The renovation is good, relatively new. The room was cleaned every day, fresh towels were changed every day. The whole hotel smells delicious of lemongrass. The staff is excellent and polite, all issues were resolved quickly. The only negative is that there is no view from either side; it is better to choose rooms on the upper floors. And ants crawled onto the balcony. The pool is excellent, clean. There were no umbrellas at the pool. Towels were provided to the pool. Overall it was good!

The guesthouse is very quiet in a small impasse in the heart of Nanai. We wake up every morning with the birds. It's very clean and very well maintained. The hotel is located in the centre of Patong, and the hotel is located in the centre of Patong.
