Prime Town - Posh & Port Hotel Phuket

I've never stayed in such a disgusting hotel. I booked it because of the location, but when I got there, I realized it was inconvenient to get anywhere. Even though it's next to Central Festival, it's still a 10-15 minute walk. There are no small shops, no 7-Eleven, and no restaurants nearby. The room hygiene was even more terrifying; the mattress was full of stains, the pillows were yellow, and the sheets were thinner than paper. I felt itchy all over as soon as I lay down, so I had to sleep in long sleeves and long pants. In the middle of the night, I was so disgusted that I wanted to borrow another blanket to put under me, and they wanted 350 baht for it – I was speechless. The pool was also unattended and visibly full of rubbish, and there was no hot water for showering.

Normally, if a hotel room isn't great, I'd just put up with it. But you guys have to see this. For a room that costs quite a bit per night, the air conditioning was leaking all over the floor. I even took a video. I didn't bother asking the hotel to fix it since I was only staying for two nights and didn't want to deal with the hassle. The floorboards were warped and lifted, which could easily cause injury if you walked barefoot. And the mattress felt like it was picked up from a dumpster. The front desk service was okay, but the facilities were absolutely terrible!

This was the second hotel I booked in Phuket this trip, and unfortunately, it was another bad choice. I booked a room with direct pool access, but the moment I opened the door, I felt sick. The shower drain had an awful smell, and the air freshener in the room was so cheap and overpowering it made me dizzy. The room layout was also very strange; the main bedroom had no windows, and the small room by the window had two beds head-to-head. The pool area was incredibly noisy, with many Indian guests. Since I was traveling with kids, I didn't want the hassle of moving, so we stayed. I reported the drainage issue to the hotel, and the front desk said they were fully booked and couldn't change our room. They could only use an ozone-like device for temporary deodorizing, which didn't solve the underlying problem. Consider this a warning to avoid this place; choose carefully.
