This was my first time visiting Fiji and I’m so glad I picked Uprising as my introduction to the country, its beautiful surroundings and exceptionally warm and welcoming staff. I traveled solo and felt safe at the resort the entire time. The resort itself is located in a great section of the beach. I arrived very early and the staff were able to check me in earlier, which I really appreciated. The staff are really what make Uprising special. Special shout out to all of the staff for making my stay as enjoyable as possible. Special thanks to Lo, Bill, Tamani, Mary, Millie, Andy, Emma, Elia, Manu, Mike and Josh! I stayed in the beachfront bure (villa) and enjoyed the space and privacy. However, the villas do need some renovation, especially with the bath tubs. I was looking forward to taking a bath during my stay, but the tub flooring needs to be redone. The outdoor showers were a great plus too. The food was ok, but I was expecting more seafood options. I do appreciate the activities like luvo night, fire dancing and bonfire they had and would encourage them to do more throughout the week in addition to adding standup paddle boarding, if possible. My family and I arrived at the Warrick on the Friday and was welcomed with beautiful smiles and lots of Bula Bulas!! The people were amazing!!! We were greeted by an awesome Fijian man who took us to our rooms and unloaded my families luggage in the room while some of ladies looked after the children! They loved them!! The room was tired and seemed a bit old the bathroom was old and the room was old with old furniture but it was well presented and clean. We enjoyed a beautiful resort with lovely people. There were activities for adults and the kids every night there seemed to be something on and the pool and the views were amazing! It was an amazing place and would recommend highly I gave it a 4 out of 5 just because I believe the rooms need upgrading. Thanks for a great time

We had a great stay at the Fiji Gateway hotel! The rooms were clean and in great condition and the showers had excellent water pressure and plenty of hot water - perfect for helping us relax as we continued our trip. As opposed to other hotel rooms in Fiji, the air conditioning worked great and the safe in the room was in good working condition - something that is always important for protecting your valuables and travel documents. This was a perfect place for us to stay when we had to fly out of Nadi airport for our flight to the island of Taveuni. On this night, we ate at the restaurant which had excellent, friendly staff and good food. But the thing we remember the most about this hotel were the 2 live musicians Igenasio and Joape who play in the bar and restaurant. During our meal, I kept pausing and saying to my wife, ”listen to this awesome music”! Just about every day for the rest of our trip I kept saying to my wife, ”did I say how awesome those musicians at the Fiji Gateway hotel were?” On our final night in Fiji, just before we went to Nadi airport, we went back to the Fiji Gateway hotel to see if Igenasio and Joape were playing in the restaurant and bar area. Guess what? They were! I was beyond excited to see them and told them that we came back to the hotel just to find them. They did not disappoint and played 2 songs that we requested as well as songs requested by others. They are a great duo and they complement each other with their lead singing and harmony. We'll always remember this final night in Fiji at the Gateway Hotel!

We had already had an idea that the rooms would be dated from the reviews. So expected as much and weren't fussed about our stay, given the price hence why we 4 stars as prob can do with an upgrade. We were on the ground floor and we didn't have any bugs in our room. Cleaning was pretty good. One of the cleaners who had returned to work there in the last few months was REALLY amazing at his job. The restaurant food was really good we had no complaints, so dined there quite a bit. Rosie's onsite were also really helpful when we booked activities. But the staff are what make this place such a great atmosphere to be at. The bar staff Eroni (Rhonda) and Vasiti were AMAZING. Super helpful to give you advice and what to look out for. We would recommend the place based on the staff

I went to Crusoe's Retreat after staying at an island of Coral Coast, so we had to take a short bus ride and then a taxi to get there. The resort is located at the end of a long and winding road. When we finally got to the top of the hill prior to descending to the reception area - I was impressed by the view of the ocean. All rooms have an amazing view, unfortunately they all require a lot of walking to get to. Except for a few fairly close to the main building. This is not a deterrent for me - however, those who don't like a lot of steps should take it into consideration. The views are spectacular and the sunsets are not blocked off by anything for the higher level rooms. My seaview bure was quite roomy, had a comfortable bed, was very clean, had louvered windows, a ceiling fan, was well lit, had a deck and a spacious bathroom with quick and plentiful hot water. Also a roomy little fridge and tea and coffee making supplies. Breakfast was included - it was cereals, toast, fresh baking, fresh fruit, juice and coffee. I could also have ordered breakfast off the menu but was satisfied with the one provided. The meal plan is available - but it was recommended to me to forego it and to just order off the menu at meal time. As it turns out - I ate very well and paid less than if I had taken the meal plan. The prices are a bit higher than usual Fijian restaurants, the portions are very large and they are well prepared. The menu has a fair variety and there is a fully stocked bar. I enjoyed every meal I had there, the fish was particularly good. One can also eat or have a drink at the beach bar building, which is over the ocean. There is a unique pool, a hot tub and a very big ocean. Depending on the tide, one can walk for miles down the beach. Massages are available in a building down by the beach. Sunset cruises are available, there is snorkelling trips available and they will arrange fishing trips. During dinner and in the evening, we had entertainment which was mainly music and singing, quite enjoyable. There is a small village next door to the resort and visitors are welcome to visit. All of the staff are outgoing, friendly and knowledgeable. When I left - all the staff in the main building left whatever they were doing and came to sing me a farewell song. All in all, I was quite happy and would return to Crusoe's.

The hotel was exactly as expected. Wonderful and friendly staff that try and make your stay enjoyable. The breakfast buffet was way better than expected and there was plenty of food and options. The room and resort were well-kept. Could it do with a total lick of paint, yes? Were there signs of wear and tear, yes. did it put us off, or should it put you off, definitely no. The reef at low tide is amazing to walk in (take boat shoes), as it is the snorkeling at high tide. Wi-fi in public areas is strong and reliable (not available in bedrooms) Are there dogs and cats in the grounds - yes - only a few and they are friendly anyway. However, if the hotel had paid for the adult cats to be neutered, they would not now have the kittens running around. The entertainment every evening is good considering they have to play to an international audience. Overall, I would recommend this hotel. It is isolated i,e, there is nothing to walk to. The nearest restaurant is at the petrol station 3/4 mile away. But they had very good live music on Saturday.

We had a great stay at the Quest Hotel Suva, which is conveniently located in the CBD Suva, close to the government and UN buildings. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a well-equipped kitchenette and a large bathroom. Air conditioning worked really well. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the hotel offered free use of laundry and dryer machines and free detergent. The hotel is also connected to the mall's food court on the second floor, which has a variety of options for dining. The hotel has 24/7 security at the entrance, so we always felt safe. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay in Suva.

After getting rained out on another island we saw sunshine on Nadi so we changed our flight & were so blessed to get same day accommodations here. The wow factor starts with the short boat ride over to the island where you are instantly greeted with the biggest smiles & friendliest staff. We loved it all- the live music, Fijian night, pool table, swim up bar, relaxing overlooking the ocean, & the best breakfast. This location is an easy 30 minutes to the airport or Denaru marina which we utilized for a day trip to island hop. This is a beautiful island dripping in colorful flowers & dreamy palm trees everywhere. My only negative comment is there is a severely malnourished mare here that was being ridden. Both of the mares that had foals were underweight but she was all bones & it was heartbreaking. Please stop letting people ride these horses until they get up to a safe body weight & if they’re being fed “properly” than have her teeth checked out. Even while nursing a foal there is no reason a horse should ever be in that condition.
