The hotel was clean and well situated. The rooms though were small and so were the bathrooms. There was a great problem at the reception. The staff had very little experience and although they tried to be helpful they could hardly understand two simple words of English. It is absolutely unacceptable to work in hotels and be unable to speak English and to communicate with clients. The only person speaking English was the head of the reception team and she tried very hard to attend to the client’s needs but obviously she could not do everything by herself.

Business hotel at its best - I appreciated the double bed in the room which made it feel a little more luxurious but you were quickly reminded that it wasn't when you walked into the bathroom with a little half sink and almost no shelf space anywhere. There was ample storage space under the bed for luggage and I appreciated the inclusion of a refrigerator. What made up for this was having access to the grand spa daily. The women's room was excellent with many shower stalls, two shared soaking pools, and two private tubs. It was also helpful that your room's television told you how full the baths were in case you were looking for certain times that were more relaxing. The vanity stations were well stocked with toiletries which made it much more enticing to use than your own room's bathroom too, haha. It's a little far from the main attractions of Osaka (20-25 min by subway), but its not a deal-breaker either.

Two main tips: 1. Don't stay in a room above the 6th floor - the lifts take forever 2. Don't expect a warm welcome - thus had to be the worst check-in experience ever. After queuing for 10 minutes, watching harassed staff trying to help confused clients to use the inflexible unfriendly automated system, our turn came. We had booked two rooms and wanted to pay for both although our family, staying in the other room hadn't arrived. After 20 minutes (I kid you not) of debate and button-pushing they agreed that I could pay for both rooms and the keys for the second room could be left at reception. Just what you don't need after a long journey. Here's a tip for the hotel. Let your staff, who know your system, press the buttons instead of trying to train your guests after they've become confused and tired. You'd need fewer staff, it would be quicker and your guests would be happier. You only get one chance to make a first impression and this one was awful.
