Superb hotel with direct access from JR station, and 1min walk to the tram stop and sightseeing bus stop. Staff was polite and patiently assisted and provided map on information we needed. Lovely bath salts for our use. Self service luggage deposit allowed us to continue exploring the city after checkup.

Huge bath tub within the room. Slightly bigger room than japan's average because of that but living area is smaller as a result. There is a sofa in this room but that takes up the space for luggage. Overall pretty good. Just opppsite the jr station with underground access. Sakurajima was covered by clouds when I was there.

This is a new hotel with bunk beds which can accommodate 4 to 6 persons. The beds were spacious and a good size. We stayed in the executive bunk family room which can accommodate 6 persons. It may be a bit tight for 6 persons but just right for our family of 4. There is full size washing machine cum dryer in the room which is very useful for washing our clothes. The hotel serves a buffet breakfast with a good spread but as there is no dining area, you need to pack your breakfast into bento boxes and eat them in your room. But we saw a sign which says breakfast will be separately charged from Jan 2024 onwards. Now, breakfast is complimentary and included in the room rate. The hotel also does not have car park but there is more then sufficient coin parking right next door which cost 600 yen from 2000 to 800. The location is quite central and a short 5-10 min drive to Tenmonkan. There is also a good ramen restaurant across the road from the hotel, Rai Rai Tei which is worth trying. Just a tip, we got a much better room rate on Rakuten than the usual Agoda, *********** sites.

It is a business hotel located in the downtown Astronomical Museum of South Kyushu, but I was able to sleep as rare as I could, saying that I only called myself ”Rem” and slept until I was woken up by an alarm clock. The streetcars and buses were running on the road just in front of me, but I didn't care about the noise at all. 1 I had breakfast for the night, so I had it at the Tully's in the building, but it was quite well organized and fulfilling. I was able to choose from hot dog pancake toast.

Last September, I went to Kagoshima for the first time in 3 💕 This time I stayed at ”Sheraton Kagoshima”. Congratulations on opening the hotel 🎊㊗️ The type of room you stayed in: Sakurajima Club Room 2 Doubles Room No.1805 35 square meters * This room has 10 rooms. The guest room floor is from the 6th floor to the 18th floor, and the room is located on the top floor with the club lounge ❤️ The guest room is located on the top floor, and Sakurajima can be seen in front of you from the large window of the room 🌈 Wow !!! ♡ I can feel Sakurajima so close. The scenery was so beautiful that I left the roll screen half open and went to bed. I was impressed by the sunrise that I happened to see around 5:30 in the morning ☆ From the moment I entered the lobby on the 1st floor, I was impressed with the luxury atmosphere ♡ I was able to spend a relaxing time watching the night view of Kagoshima in my room 🎀 In the room There is a bathrobe and a nice time ❤️ On the 5th floor, there is a private hot spring ♨️ ”Warming hot water” that can only be used by guests and guests of the spa [Lymph Goddess]. Used on April 10, 2023. The place is in front of the tram stop (tram) Astronomical Museum, which is also a downtown area of Kagoshima, and it can be said that it is a landmark because it is before the bus stops. Certainly there was a shopping mall on the 1st floor, and it felt like a recent hotel, and the inside of the building was beautiful with the impression that it was renovated or newly built. The structure is the front desk on the 7th floor and the guest rooms on the 8th to 14th floors. The 15th floor is a restaurant and breakfast is here, and on a sunny day, you can see Sakurajima, and I think there is no complaint about the local dishes like Kagoshima. However, the deduction point was the following points ● There is no parking lot at the hotel. Since the parking lot is a little far away, I think that if you have luggage, you really need a parking lot. It can't be helped in the structure anymore, but I got the impression that it would be a little painful to carry heavy luggage when I came by car. ● If the affiliated parking lot is a little far away, it's fine when checking out (if it's not rainy), there's no problem, but I got the impression that it would be a little hard if it was raining. ● The content of the restaurant in the morning is fine, but I think there are many guests who come for the specialty ”chicken rice”. However, the impression that the frequency of the ingredient replenishment is slow because there is only soup stock and rice left insufficient replenishment. I understand the feeling of cherishing ingredients, but I have a little doubt ● Acoustic problem in the corridor It happened that it was around 23:00 pm. When I went to smoke on the front floor, I was walking down the corridor from another room, but I heard the sound inside, but I closed my mouth a little. I don't know if there is a location pattern, but it's the sound of so-called adult play, but I felt that I wanted you to do a little more soundproofing. I wrote color 々, but the basic room and restaurant are beautiful and I think it is a hotel of a good level in Kagoshima. Sure, Shiroyama and Sun Royal are famous in Kagoshima, but considering the convenience and price, I hope it will be a good hotel in the future.

The staff members were very hospitable. Check in was fast and Jeffrey gave us detailed explanation of the facilities of the hotel. He also greeted us every time he met us in the lobby.
While the renovation in the room is old fashioned, it is kept clean. We were very lucky that we had good view of Sakurajima during our two days stay.
Breakfast in the lobby cafe and dinner in the Japanese restaurant were good.

We loved the view from the room, Sakura Island was just in front of us and we could actually see smoke coming out of its crater which was pretty awesome.
The pools were also nice and the traditional restaurant near the lobby had some great Japanese food.
The service was excellent, too.
The only downside was that the bus stop is a bit far and walking to it in the middle of summer isn’t pleasant. But a taxi to the main train station costs around ¥1,800 which isn’t bad.

GGuest UserThe public bath uses Fine Ten Water, and those with sensitive skin will feel the effects immediately. I also found Refa's shower head to be very comfortable to use, probably because the water pressure was higher than what I use at home. Use the hair dryer and your styling will look better than usual. Also, the room was equipped with a clothes deodorizer, and I was curious about this home appliance, so I was glad I was able to try it out. People who go to yakiniku etc. for dinner will probably find it very popular. The rooms are comfortable, but the public bath is recommended.
Ppenpen3I used this hotel on my first trip to Kagoshima.
When I first entered, I thought it was small, but it was no problem for a normal stay, and I was happy with the location.
The Kagoshima Aquarium is within walking distance for sightseeing.
Also, when I asked the front desk for a rental, they handled it without a word of complaint.
The amenities were also good. Thank you.
MM340IThe location is convenient, the hotel is clean and well-organized, and the level of hygiene is high. There is a dedicated person responsible for cleaning from time to time. The room is large enough, the facilities are sufficient, and the staff are friendly and courteous.
ひひみでIt's cheap and within walking distance from the station.
There are also convenience stores, bento shops, and general stores nearby.
I came with my 7 month old daughter.
There is also a diaper bag, microwave oven, stove,
There were also frying pans, cutlery, and plates.
I was able to enjoy baby food and milk just like at home without any stress.
It was wonderful.
I would definitely use it again. I really recommend it.
For tourists, you will like the hotel. It’s centrally-located and reasonably priced. But for me, this is my 2nd Richmond Hotel this week, and like Yokohama four days ago, the check in experience at the Kagoshima Richmond Kinseicho was just as bad. I arrived at the hotel at 1 and asked in Japanese for them to hold my bag until checkin. No problem and I left. I came back about 3:30 to check in. I claimed my bag and gave my name in Japanese. She found my reservation then immediately asked for my passport. I simply said “No”. She looked at me like I didn’t hear her then went to the back room to get another woman who I guess can speak English. Before the second one could say anything I explained in Japanese that I am not a tourist and if she would just check my reservation on the computer in front of her she would have known that. It is insulting to ask permanent residents (I am one.) for identification when checking in, especially our passport, which we do not carry around inside Japan (any more than a Japanese person would traveling Japan). The law specifies we are to be checked in as residents just as Japanese people are. And this, again, is the 2nd time this week I have explained the Japanese hotel law to Richmond hotel staff who should know better. And when this happens, no matter how good your hotel is the stay will not be pleasant because I won’t forget the insult. I’m speaking to you in Japanese and you still assume I am a tourist? How many fluent middle-aged white guys do you see in a year who are tourists? Come on Richmond, use some common sense and stop lumping residents and tourists in the same pile. It’s disrespectful to those of us for whom Japan is home. We are not the same as tourists. I like Richmond Hotels, but I have plenty of hotel choices available to me, and have stayed at Richmond at least four times this past year. Until you stop othering foreign residents as the same as visiting tourists I won’t be staying at this Richmond or any other going forward.
AAnonymous UserThe location is right in the planetarium business district, with many restaurants and shopping options. There is also a convenience store next to it. It is not far from the central train station, and there are many buses. It only takes more than 10 minutes to walk! The room is a bit small, but Japanese chain hotels are like this. I can accept it. I will stay here again next time.
RResort810795It is a stay with GOTO children. The appearance is an old and small business hotel, but it was comfortable inside. We stayed at the zashiki. It is very good that the hot water pot is installed in a high place that the child can't reach, and the bathroom is surprisingly large. Also, when I arrived, I gave my child a little toy. After receiving it, if you had another color good, you would have come to the front desk quickly, and you would have a different color. It was very nice and really appreciated. Also, breakfast is delicious. You can choose chicken rice or fish tea pickles or curry, and you come out with mori salad and baked fish. I was very satisfied from the morning. The Astronomical Museum is also within walking distance. I will choose this place when I go to Kagoshima City again.
GGuest UserFirst of all, I am happy with the affordable accommodation price. Instead, the room facilities are old. This time I used the cheapest plan, so I was a little worried about the musty smell of the bathroom and air conditioner. The size of the rooms has a relaxing feeling that is not in the cheap business of the city. It is recommended for those who say that small rooms are not good even if they are clean. For those who like alcohol, isn't it unbearable to have a shochu tasting corner? The fun of business trips is local sake! I would like to recommend it to my boss who took care of me. I was also taught that the hotel at work is a place to sleep. The location is good and the downtown area crowded with restaurants is within walking distance. There is an arcade roof, so it seemed convenient even in bad weather. Recommended for business use and traveling alone. The staff's response was also very good.
GGuest UserI stayed 2 nights at thesunflex. The location is excellent with decent sized rooms and our deal included breakfast You can choose from 3 types. You will have to pay for parking i believe tobe 900 yen.not far from the hotel is an excellent bakery called sumomo whichhas tasty products which are 110 to 160 yen so fantastic prices. The staff are excellent and very helpful. Easy walk to the sakurajima ferry and many bars and restaurants within walking distance.
Ssyodo278We stayed for 1 night (¥1,900) in a male dormitory. It is a guest house full of 4 story condominiums. The male dormitory is on the 4 floor and it is a bit troublesome to climb and down to the 1 floor. The cleanliness of the bed and water field was a level that I didn't particularly care about. The air conditioning in the dormitory was just good, and I didn't care about the sound of the 2-stage bed, and I was able to sleep well. There is a seven eleven diagonally across the road. You can use a credit card for the adjustment. As a note, there is a photograph that Sakurajima can hope from the rooftop on the reservation site, but it seems that a large warehouse has been built recently, and the view of Sakurajima side has been blocked. I think it's a good guest house except that.
