We stayed at the Hakone Hotel as part of a tour group. We had a spacious twin room with a view over the garden and part of Lake Ashi. The room spotlessly clean and was very comfortable. We had a comfortable chair and a comfortable 2 seater couch as well as comfortable beds. In the morning we had a beautiful clear view of Mt Fuji from the grounds of the hotel. We had a delicious included dinner at the hotel as well as a good buffet breakfast. There was a capsule coffee/tea maker in the room that I tried with Earl Grey Tea which was a bit strong for my taste.

I visited for a walk in the morning at the location adjacent to Hakone Shrine. Lots of green. A promenade full of flowers. A promenade on the shore of the lake. You can see Mt. Fuji beautifully, and you can also see pirate ships passing through Lake Ashino. The silence as if time had stopped. The chirping of small birds is comfortable. I was surprised to stay at a resort where the speaker was wired, but I don't need such a small work here. Hotel to enjoy hotel stay. The customer feels like a repeater is quite, a little elegant and noisy, old, gentlemen, ladies 々. It's not a place for noisy young people to go. The food was a long-established hotel, so I chose Western food. There were many reviews that Japanese food was good, but because it is a hotel, the food is elegant and a little on a large plate. Is delicious. I wonder if it's not enough, but it's enough. Upgrade of main dishes that are common in cheap hotels these days. It was also here. The course was changed to Hoho meat grilled Wagyu beef steak and brand beef steak. The chef served hoho meat, so I didn't change it, but it was an elaborate grill, but after all, hoho meat was hoho meat. I should have upgraded. It's a simple story, but I think the main dish is Japanese beef steak without discounting. 〇〇 Great deal at sale! I will stay there because the guide will come from the travel site, but I feel that every hotel is having a hard time with the main. Then, I wish I had stopped selling. The ladies I met in the hall were highly praised for Japanese food. Next time, if I can come to the flowering season, I would like to try a Japanese restaurant.

One of the best hotel I’ve stayed throughout my Japan trip. Service was excellent. The room and the bathtub was good and really comfortable.
My partner and I felt the dinner and the breakfast was really good. High quality ingredients and lots of variety.
I would recommend going to the open air public onsen to check out the view (when it is not foggy).

we love this renovated hotel, perfect for family with the onsen park right across the street which was included and we enjoyed a lot. The breakfast and dinner were also very nice. Even the in house onsen was very proper. Will definitely come back

I was seeking a ryokan with private onsens and the willingness to accommodate my primarily vegetarian dietary habits. I chose Hakone Gora Byakudan and was extremely pleased in every single way. We were a little on the early side (around 2:00 in the afternoon) when we asked someone at an information desk by Gora Station to please call the ryokan and ask if they could pick us up (as we had been instructed). Within 5 minutes we were picked up and brought to the beautiful ryokan, removing our shoes upon entry. The room was fantastic. We were in ”hako”, just off the lobby. The space was perfect! And we loved the privacy of the onsen. Both dinner and breakfast were served in a small private dining room. They indeed served me a vegetarian meal with many courses. My husband had some meat or fish in his meal and they provided us each with separate printed out menus. It was truly fantastic!

Pleasantly surprised by the large room we got, with an enclosed balcony overlooking the lush green valley. Spacious bathroom. Clean room. Excellent onsite onsen - enjoyed the experience. Lovely dining areas and sushi restaurant. Free pickup from Odawara Shinkansen station (45 min ride to hotel). Hotel offers free dropoff and pickup to local train station so you can comfortably take the cable car to Lake Ashi. Highly recommend the cable car, boat across Lake Ashi and Hakone's open air museum.
No meals can be added after reservation if you made a reservations with no meal.
A cozy and relaxing lodging for adults where all rooms are equipped with an open-air bath. We will provide you with healing time and space.

I stayed on January 5 day as last year. The room is a low-rise room as usual. The lower floors can see the moon, stars and the rising sun through the leaves of the garden tree 々. The upper floors are not disturbed by the trees 々 and you can enjoy the surrounding mountains 々 landscape. 4 I have never stayed above the floor, but I think the scenery on the lower floors in winter is lonely and Qing 々. I don't think I'll come again if my first stay was the mountain side room I saw on YouTube. After spring, it has a hot spring inn in the forest in the leaves of the tree 々, and it has a different taste, but I like winter. This time, when I changed the iPhone to a new model, I was able to take a good picture of the garden and the stars at night. Overall, I am satisfied with the same wonderfulness. If I dare to say something I was interested in, I take pictures of the meal every time, but the tea confectionery at the reception was the same as last year (of course I am satisfied). I requested the size of the clothes in the building in advance and prepared it. Is not small, and last year there was nothing to wear on the clothes in the hall like a vest (I don't know what to say) (because it looks like a farmer?), The maximum size of the clothes I bought at the shop last year is pink-colored building I bought an inner dress, but the inner dress prepared in the room was the same white gray? (Since it was the same color last year, it may be the same color even if you make a reservation for a man and woman. Or is there a number depending on the size?) The same was true when I stayed at another hotel in Hakone Yumoto at the end of the year, but the dinner dishes were served. , From last year, I felt that it was small or the amount was small. Compared to the photos when I stayed last year, I really get worried. I was worried that the food would be smaller as the room rate was rising from last year. The good thing was that the staff at various places were as good as ever. There were many non-al drinks beside the elevator. There was a low evaluation on SNS in advance, but it is true that there are customers, but there are staff who are dissatisfied with colleagues in a low voice, or the number of staff at the restaurant is narrowed. Is it , I couldn't come immediately after pressing the doorbell button, but it was acceptable to me. I've never seen it like I was on SNS here. I wanted to use it in the future. Finally, I bought it here last year, but I can't wear it because it seems to be ”stealed” at the same Kyoritsu resort, but I used it at other hotels and was popular with foreign tourists. It is often used when staying at other hot spring inns. I would like you to always have various sizes of colors. The next time I stay, I would like to buy it if there is a color for overseas souvenirs.

Right next to Gora station, which is an awesome after a day exploring Hakone Yumoto and coming up the Tozan train. Great kaiseki dinner and breakfast, Exploring the public onsen baths was really fun, with free snacks and icicles. Our room also had a great view overlooking Gora station and the mountains. Overall felt this was a really authentic Japanese onsen ryokan experience

Hotel Indigo was recommended to us by a co-worker. She raved about how much she enjoy her stay, so we decided to visit for our Anniversary. We loved everything about this hotel from check in to check out, everything was amazing. The hotel staff always made us feel welcome, by greeting us (by name most of the time) whenever we were out and about in the hotel. Hannah checked us in. She was nice and provided us with information about the area. We had the breakfast included in our stay. The restaurant manager Koji-san was awesome. While not a picky eater, I do like my eggs cooked a certain way...lol.. On the first day of breakfast, my eggs were not cooked to my liking. When my plate was taken, Koji-san noticed that I did not eat my eggs. He immediately came to our table and inquired about the eggs. I told him that they were too soft for me. He apologized and asked if I had enough to eat and said that he would like to try again the next morning. I thought this was such a kind gesture. For the next 4 days, my eggs were cooked exactly how I like them. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant. It is a bit pricey, but the chef is very good. The salmon and asparagus were my favorites. Our anniversary was on the 22nd and we received a call from the front desk asking if they could bring us a gift for our anniversary. They brought us an assortment of sweet treats, which we enjoyed with a cup of tea. Very sweet. Our room was spacious, clean with the perfect temperature. The television was the largest that I have seen a Japanese hotel. Our room was on the riverside with a private outdoor onsen. While relaxing in the onsen, you can hear the calming sounds of the river. There is also a foot soak in the garden area. it was a bit to cold outside for me, so I didn't get to enjoy it on this stay. The hotel was cleaned thoroughly and safety precautions were taken. All of staff wore masks and for breakfast, we were provided with gloves to get continental items from the buffet. All tables were wiped down immediately after a party left and were socially distanced. The hotel is in close proximity to just about everything. During our 5 day stay, we visited The Open Air Museum, the Venetian Glass Garden, Gora Park, and The Red Gate of Peace. We will definitely be returning and look forward to our next stay in the Spring.

On Friday, I had a break, so I hurriedly booked a plan for staying without meals. It is a mountain room in the pond building, within 1 Person 1 10,000 yen. In the evening 17 I arrived at half past half, but the shops near Hakone Yumoto Station were almost closed. The correct answer was that I was procuring side dishes in the basement of the department store in Shinjuku. The convenience store was open. There are liquor stores and Lawson near the inn. The garden was an invisible room, but it was wide 々 and the scenery was good and I could see the mountains. The cleaning was well done. The futon is a style that you lay yourself, but I was grateful that you were prepared for a split, plate, and glass, probably because of the consideration for guests staying without meals. Coffee and tea were also set. It was good that the large communal bath and the bath in the room were both hot springs. The room was a unit bath, but I didn't really care. The next morning I took a walk in the large garden. I was able to relax. Hakone Yumoto is close to 80 minutes from Shinjuku, and I think it is an affordable plan for train fares and accommodation plans for inns of this class. I want to go to stay again when I have time.

Outstanding
MMeng ChuanHad a delightful stay at the ryokan. The rooms are quite impeccable with the smell of the hinoki filling the room, it was quite heavenly.
We chose the room with the outdoor bath. And given the cool weather, our bathing experience was amazing.
The location was also perfect if you are making a trip to the Sengokuhara Susuki Pampas Grass fields, which is such a scenic spot and of which we enjoyed walked to and through in the setting sun.
We also opted to have dinner at the ryokan, who specially made it Halal-friendly for us.
What's most amazing to us regarding the ryokan was the service. We had a Nepalese staff speaking with us most of the time, as he was the best in English. He personally brought us to our room and even gave an introduction to the room, and what we needed to take note off. After we checked out, he enquired how we were making our way to the train station. There was conveniently located bus stop just outside the ryokan, so we were going to take that. On our way out, he drove out and stopped along the road beside us (good thing there was no traffic) and to our utter surprise offered to drive us to the train station. We found out that he was actually knocking off, but instead of going straight home to rest (before his next shift in the evening), he wanted to drive us to the station. We were exceptionally touched at his extremely kind gesture (as we didn't think it was hotel protocol to do so). Nonetheless, his actions left us a beautiful and lasting impression on the ryokan.
Would definitely go again for the luxurious experience!
GGuest UserHad a large Japanese style room on the fifth floor. The place is characterful and the onsens feel original and charming. Being in our 60's futons and dining on the floor was probably not the best choice. There is no restaurant or bar so you dine in your room. There are a lot of courses, maybe 10, for both breakfast and dinner served in batches of about 3 at a time. We really enjoyed dinner the first night but less so the second - there is no choice so the individual dishes are to your taste or not. We didn't enjoy breakfast which is more like a small meal and not to our taste. The building is up on the side of a hill and the whole area in very hilly so not easily walkable. We had a car and went on the cablecar up to the lake.
GGuest UserThe room was very roomy. We got an upgarde unexpectedly and we were very thankful for that! The location is very good. The hot spring was also very nice. I enjoyed the outdoor hot spring the most. Would want to come back!
GGuest UserWe got this very large suite that was in the CONDO complex. It is outside of the main building but there are walkways in the back that allow transverse with the key. That said, it was incredibly comfortable. The beds were plush and comfy. Spring bath was soothing. The suite was HUGE!! There was a large sitting area as well as a patio. The entire place never felt crowded even though people were always checking in. I did not see anyone the entire time while walking around except during mealtime and the dessert hour. We signed up for both dinner and breakfast because we weren’t too keen on looking for a restaurant. It was the best decision because the food was very fresh and varied (although focused on Japanese more). It was buffet style with an extra personalized item that you get to order. Dessert was generous and there was a small bar to mix one’s own drinks. Afterwards, there is a dessert-beer-coffee bar that was just wonderful. It was like a mixer. The onsen was nice. We ended up doing only the private onsen and it was available both times. We also had the bath in the suite. Everything felt super clean and immaculate. The hosts and reception personnel were nice and friendly throughout. Check-in and check-out was quick and seamless. It is about 5 minutes’ walk from the GORA train station. There are lots of bus in the main street downstairs.
GGuest UserI visited for free. Although there are some negative points due to the old facilities, it is a price range that is easy to visit when you want to come to the hot springs, and the quality of the hot springs is not bad, so it is a new and fashionable facility, to stay without seeking gorgeousness. I thought I was there. Personally, according to the hotel rules, you can go back and forth in the bath with sandals in the room, so I think sandals have dirt on the shoes on the outside, but there are no other footwear in the room. I was worried about the aging of the washroom and the bus, because the boundary between the foot and the non-smoking area seemed vague, including the cleaning staff.
GGuest UserVery authentic Japanese style, there is a stream outside the room window, the white noise is very comfortable, the room is very very clean, the bathroom is separated into wet and dry areas. We went to the hotel's hot spring at night, there was no one, it was reserved! And it is a natural hot spring with an outdoor pool, the temperature is just right! We booked breakfast and dinner, authentic Japanese meals, eat until full. The service of the hotel staff is also very good, the Japanese smile makes people feel comfortable, and it is also very thoughtful and considerate.
GGuest UserI don't recommend this hotel. It's near Gora Park. It's inconvenient to walk with luggage. Toothbrushes need to be paid for. The food is not tasty, at least not suitable for my Chinese stomach. The bathroom in the public area is also very ordinary. There are basically no room facilities and scenery. The picture shows the big slope at the entrance of the hotel. It is a nightmare for luggage carriers.
This was my first experience at a ryokan. I am so glad that my sister booked a traditional ryokan with a private Kaiseki dinner and breakfast. We also had our own onsen in the room. It was so very relaxing and beautiful. The whole experience put me back into the days of old Japan. I would love to stay here again! The staff does not speak much English but they do use a translator tool that makes it easy to converse and understand. The food was amazing! The sleep was amazing. The room was spacious and accommodated 4 adults. The onsen was so relaxing. The lobby and ryokan is gorgeous and well upkept! We did stay in a newly renovated room-Zuisan. They are very accommodating to your every need. I truly felt like I was in Old Japan. I want to go back again soon. (note: I will update with photos later as there are so many)
GGuest UserI remember visiting with a friend about 10 years ago and the French dinner was delicious, so this time I revisited with my family. The dinner was still very delicious and I was very satisfied! The room was clean and nice because I designated the room after the renovation. Also, although the hot springs are small, there are both open-air and indoor baths, and the quality of the spring was good so that the skin could be smooth. Oshimuraku is not quite the customer service side (good to say, it is easy). Since it is a high season, it was a price that I could stay at the highest-class hotel in Tokyo (a hotel where you can enjoy the highest level of hospitality), but it is quite unpleasant compared to it. I felt that I would not say such a thing, and the level of hospitality was not high. However, I didn't feel particularly disgusting, and I was able to respond with chitin. By the way, when I stayed before, the price was quite cheap in front of the renovation (the room that is still unfinished is cheap), so I didn't care about the customer service, but rather it was an impression that it was a good inn of the cospa. It is natural that the price will be high when renovated, but if the price is raised, I got the impression that it would not be worth it if the service level was raised at the same time. Color 々 I wrote, but the stay is basically very comfortable and it is a hotel where you can stay with peace of mind if it matches the place you want to go and the budget (^^)
KKwok KuenThe environment is clean and tidy. The service attitude was very good. The waiters were very careful when introducing the facilities and rooms. The room was larger than I expected. The food quality is very good (all the flavors I like). It’s just about the location. The walk from Hakone Yumoto Station to the hotel is on a slope, which can be difficult if you have large luggage. However, you can take a taxi from Hakone Yumoto Station.
