2 Star Hotels in Hakone

The hotel is just a stone's throw away from Yumoto station, one of the major train stations in Hakone. It's just off the busy main street. The location is simply great. The manager of the hotel was very friendly and personable - she entertained several requests and questions from our party, and delivered welcome drinks to our room. The room itself was well worth the price. We were a group of four young men, so we got the room with 2 bunk beds. While we were at close quarters with each other most of the time, there was certainly enough room to open up a medium sized luggage bag. Each bed had a dedicated light and power outlet. The beds and pillows were soft and comfortable. They fit just nice for someone around 1.7 metres tall. Taller guests will have to adjust. All toiletries were provided, along with nightwear. Four hangers were provided which hung on hooks on the walls. The toilet has a multi-function bidet, as so many toilets in japan do. Coffee capsules and a coffee machine were provided, but there were more capsules on the third floor, along with a washing machine which can be accessed if you let the manager know you need it. Washing can't be done too late at night as it causes noise for nearby guests. We were very satisfied with our stay and found that it was very value for money.

The first time I traveled alone, and the first time I stayed in a youth hostel, the experience was really great! The lady at the front desk is from Europe and the United States. She only speaks English and Japanese, but she is really very cute and considerate. She speaks very carefully. There are also kiln, kitchen and hot spring. Girls do n’t have to worry about traveling alone. The people I meet here are very warm and lovely. There is a time rule for the open-air hot spring. It is used by girls before 8:30 pm, and then by boys. The middle half hour is used to clean the hot spring. I was talking to a younger sister from Kansai while in the hot spring. Hahahaha. By the way, in Japan, you need to rinse yourself before soaking in the hot springs, and then soak the hot springs naked to ensure the water is clean. It is a very good hostel!

There is no one at the front desk if you try to leave your luggage earlier than check-in time. No phone is available. The front desk seems unmanned only during check-in and out time zones. The employees are kind. The room was large enough and the view was good. The site was written as a hot water washing toilet seat, toothbrush, toothpaste, cotton swab, and yukata, but it was all there. There was a cup and a tea bag of Sencha, but I think there was no hot pot. The cup was moldy and could not be used. I used a paper cup in the washbasin. I'm sorry for the paper cup. I was a little worried about the stain of the toilet slipper. I don't mind putting the futon myself, but I wanted the sheets to be a type that can be covered with rubber. It is written in the guide as ”big bath”, but it is quite small. I think the quality of the spring is good because the smell of sulfur is swept away. It was beautiful because there were few guests, but it seems to be put in 24 hours at any time, and I wonder when I will clean it. I wish the bus timetable and the surrounding guide map were at the front desk. The road from the bus stop is a bit difficult to understand. The shoes are on the right side of the entrance, and are covered with a locker of the room number. ｡. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . I thought it would be better to remove the flowers placed everywhere in the building.

The hotel is located just off the big platform, not far away, just follow the navigation for a while. A relatively cheap store, good value for money, the store does not have Chinese, but the body language is enough. It is convenient to go to the big platform station for breakfast. It is difficult to find the best breakfast at the hotel. There is a convenience store nearby.

Breakfast and dinner are very rich. The room is bigger than expected. The traditional Japanese style we ordered is good except for no bathroom. There is a sink on the balcony. The transportation is convenient, both by bus and tram, and it only takes more than ten minutes to walk to Hagen Station. Soaking in the morning and evening is comfortable, and the yukata is beautiful. Quiet at night, falling asleep in the sound of the stream. Everything is satisfactory and value for money. The traditional ryokan experience is great!

It was a self-check-in/self-check-out system without the presence of staff. Nothing could be done with the reservation number (11 digits) sent by Trip.com, and the hotel said that a registration link was sent by email in advance, and guests received a QR code and a 6-digit reservation number that could be registered in the hotel system through prior input/registration. I'm assuming you're checking in. The hotel said they sent a link via Expedia message, but I didn't receive an email directly from Trip.com, and I didn't receive anything other than the 11-digit reservation number from Trip.com.

I went as a female solo traveller as part of my Hakone trip. Very safe & lovely place. If you’re looking to stay in a place that’s like what they show you in Anime, then this is the one. Was great to hang out in the Onsen before leaving. Onsen is gender-specific. There is two so they alternate on a daily basis. Both are lovely though. They provided me with a Kimono and towels. You can eat in their restaurant or use the microwave/kettle provided in the common area. Kettle in room also. Loved the views & balcony. Mount Kitori is only 20 min walk away from which you can see Mt Fuji I was hesitant about the Futon first but I actually slept super well! So that’s a worthy a try also 10/10 recommend

I took the Hakone Tozan Railway to Kowakidani Station and walked about 15 minutes from there. Since the road is the main road, there were almost no sidewalks, so I think it would be best to go by bus. [Room] ・This time, I stayed in a dormitory's Kagodoko (cabin type). First of all, the room is very clean. The lighting is bright and I feel good. There are 2 power outlets and 1 USB dedicated power supply, and charging is also possible. There is also a 4-digit lockable valuables compartment inside the room. I am very grateful for this. You can feel secure just by putting your wallet here. Furthermore, to enter the dormitory space, you have to unlock the auto lock with the room key, so I think security is perfect. [Onsen] ・It was great. There are both open-air baths and indoor baths. The only disappointing thing is that there is a distance between the indoor bath and the open-air bath, so you have to wear clothes before moving. I thought, ”Then, I should just use the open-air bath,” but there is no washing area in the open-air bath. This was the only disappointment, but everything else was perfect. The open-air bath is a little hot and comfortable, and the indoor bath is lukewarm so you can use it forever. Both are kept clean and pretty clean. Depending on the time of day, you can have it all to yourself, so it was pretty good.・In addition, the dryer was a type with a strong air flow, so it is safe. In general, the hair dryers at hotels and inns have a weak airflow and don't dry your hair in the middle of the day. It is a gem that dries quickly. [Meals] ・Since this is a guest house, no meals are provided. However, the wonderful kitchen is open for free. Free coffee and tea. Free microwave and refrigerator. Tableware is also free. I thought it was the best facility for staying for a while on a trip and doing nomad work. There are about 10 restaurants nearby and a convenience store, so I don't think you'll have any trouble finding food. [Inside the building/lobby] ・Everywhere is clean and comfortable. Due to the location, it was a little difficult to walk up and down the stairs, but it would be nice to be able to climb up and down the stairs more than usual and get some exercise. 1F is the reception, B1 is the room, B2 is the kitchen and lounge, and B3 is the hot spring.・The toilet is shared, but it is well-cleaned and is also very clean. [Others] ・The lounge was too nice. The tatami room has a counter and two kotatsu tables, and the floor lounge has a counter and about five table seats. From the counter, you can see the nature of Hakone in front of you. Every seat has a power supply, so it's perfect for nomad work. What's more, it has Free Wi-Fi, so it's nice to be able to work without worrying about the network or power supply. Of course, it is also possible to bring in what you have made in the kitchen and work while eating. I thought it was the perfect workspace. [Overall] ・Since it is a dormitory-style room, it is cheap. All facilities are clean and comfortable. The customer service is also friendly and the more you go, the more you will probably feel like at home. Power supply and network facilities are also perfect. In such a place, while starting up the PC and crackling, if I get tired, I will soak in the open-air bath, and if I get hungry, I will go to the neighborhood for a meal. I was surprised that such a perfect and wonderful space existed in Hakone. In my case, round-trip transportation from Tokyo and accommodation for two nights and three days totaled 14,000 yen. If anything, I would like to book all weekdays, stay overnight and completely work here. It was such a lovely place. It seems that there are regular rooms other than dormitories, so next time I would like to visit for a relaxing stay with my family. The boss is very good, and the explanation from the accommodation to the route is very detailed. When you get off at Xianxiang Louqian Bus Station, you will see the signs of their home. Many buses from Tangben or Qiangluo can be reached. On the right is the Little Prince Art Museum. The left rear is the Glass Forest. The location is very convenient. The little prince has two small supermarkets in the past. I really hope to stay longer, and I haven’t strolled in many places. It’s quite like a big mountainous area like the Jingshan Scenic Area in China. It can be visited for many days. The buffet breakfast of 810 yen has a lot of foreigners who have to eat at home. The outdoor hot springs add 500 yen. If you are outside, you can soak in the room. Anyway, no more than 30 minutes. Enjoy yourself. If you don't wear it, you don't want to wear it. Although the water doesn't seem to change much, it seems that there is water circulation. It is the hot spring that I feel the fastest. I may have sulfur.

My daughter family (married couple 2 years old and ３ year old boy) and our couple stayed in a room with an open-air bath on the ４ floor with ２ rooms. One of the rooms with ３ open-air baths on the ４ floor was not used, so the floor was rented and the doors of ２ rooms were opened, and the grandchildren were happy to go and go. There was a severe word of mouth, but we felt that it was a gentle inn with children, and it was the correct answer to stay. Thank you for the children's chairs that can be used when eating baby soap and diaper containers. There were kids corners and picture books with lots of toys, and grandchildren played there, and adults enjoyed playing table tennis and drinking coffee that they could drink freely. I think the stairs are tight, if you are always with a baby to hold. The grandchildren went up and down and seemed to enjoy it. The meal was delicious. The grandchildren ate enough to surprise that the rice with cherry blossoms and sesame and the opening of the breakfast cherry blossoms were especially delicious. Nakai was kind and nice, and he left both wet and dry things and gave me a fine care. When I met other staff, I always called my grandchildren and said, ”I'm sorry to be noisy,” and I said, ”I don't have that at all, please spend your time.” The rental bath and the bath in the room were large and clean and good. I only went to the garden open-air bath with my daughter's husband, but I said it was the best. The inn and parking lot cross the Hakone old road, but be careful crossing because there are quite a lot of traffic.
