From the moment I arrived, I knew I was in for a special experience. The staff was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, offering excellent recommendations and making sure every detail of my dining experience was flawless. For breakfast, the resort’s buffet offered a wide range of options, from freshly baked pastries and tropical fruits to hot dishes made to order. The morning view of the sun rising over the ocean while sipping a cup of freshly brewed coffee was the perfect start to each day. The hotel offers spacious and clean rooms, providing excellent value for money. Highly recommended for a comfortable stay! Hotel is conveniently located in Georgetown, making it accessible to travel around the area. Driveway was a bit narrow, making it challenging for larger vehicles. Despite this, overall it is a great choice for comfort and affordability!

Great location with New Lane hawker street food right downstairs in the evening! This hotel though is not new but still very well-maintained. Everything in the room is at tip top cleanliness and well furnished. Wonderful housekeeper! I was surprised and delighted to receive a nicely decorated “Happy Birthday” on the bed with a present upon opening the door! It makes my trip more memorable ❤️.

Thé hôtel is superb. It provides everything that I need. On top of that the view us wonderful and we share the same view as E&O at a fraction of E&O’s price. I can even see the fireworks on sat 23/11 and sun 24/11 during the Penang international dragon boat Regatta from the 18th floor. So awesome

My elderly parents stayed at The Gurney during their medical checkup in Penang and accidentally left behind some documents. We emailed the hotel and left a message through booking.com to no avail. Then through a phone call, we got connected to Danesh at the Concierge Department, who then went the extra mile to coordinate among various departments within the hotel, and mailed the document through express courier service. His attentive service is highly appreciated.

A stylish and classy hotel, strategically located near Little India, art area, food museum, all are a few minutes away. The jetty is about a 15 minute walk. However as a solo female traveller, all the adjacent streets are dark and quiet so didn’t feel comfortable walking around after 21:00. Room was cosy and nicely designed, bed was comfortable, and the free mini bar and sweets left in the jar daily was a lovely touch. Breakfast was ok, but the in-room food service was excellent and meals were fantastic. The room also has a water filter, saves buying bottled water. All staff were pleasant and helpful. The views from the rooftop pool are great, albeit the pool is on the smaller size. Enjoyed my three nights and would recommend the hotel.

St Giles Wembly is a great hotel to stay in. I stayed for 3 nights and it felt like home. Sheets and bed were soft and comfortable, floor and furnishing were kept clean after housekeeping cleaned, and the lifts come really quickly. I also loved how the front desk and the staffs were always very welcoming and warm, making every interaction like speaking to a friend. While the hotel looked old, furnishings are very well maintained. For instance, the ventilation in the toilet was so good that the floor dries after a few hours. My only gripe is that while the water pressure is strong, the hot water doesn't come immediately, instead it takes a good 5 mins of running water before I get some form of warm / lukewarm water. The waiting time does get longer after midnight, where the water is just ice cold. Weirdly, the bath tub water gets warm faster than the shower? Which was kind of weird. I also had the opportunity to try the breakfast buffet. While I saw plenty of reviews commending that the breakfast is good, I believe it was sufficient for a local taste, and provided enough quantity. However, the buffet setup was quite cramp and unevenly spaced. The hotel also hosts a bar on the roof, which had a nice view of the city. I ordered a Guinness Stout and got the server to pour for me. I ended up getting a flat stout 🫠🫠🫠. Nevertheless, my stay at St Giles has been great, and I would love to return in the near future.

Jen Penang Hotel offers a fantastic location, with easy access to the Komtar bus terminal, making it a convenient base for exploring the city. The rooms are modern and comfortable, though guests on extended stays might find the lack of replenishment for toiletries and supplies a bit inconvenient.

We had a relaxing and memorable stay at E&O. Our room offers a sea view which is great and feel peaceful. Although the hotel is a bit old, it’s generally well maintained. Staff are always smiling and willing to help. They provide new towels and bottled water every day. Staff service at the breakfast buffet are excellent. Sunset was beautiful.

Parking was very convenient, they will validate for u and ure able to use in n out multiple times. The location is just right opposite hin bus depot, and behind there is quite a number of famous hawker - presgrave Street. The check in was also seamless. Coway machine outside for unlimited refill. Only thing for me is the vibe when I walk into the lobby, and the vibe of the room. I would say basic and old school, nth less nth more. Ure getting exactly what you paid, goid value. lift lobby security can be better as well so not everyone can go up easily.
