We recently spent 4 nights in a 2 Bedroom, 2 Bathroom Villa directly opposite the beach access with our two young children (3 & 2). We specifically chose this Villa type as it is shown on their website to have NO bunks, our 2 year old is a climber and we felt this was safest. Upon check-in, we noticed the cabin had a bunk. I contacted reception and no alternative was available. The cabins are roomy with a dishwasher, BBQ and laundry. The sinks and showers were mouldy. Throughout the stay I purchased fly spray to kill multiple cockroaches. The grassed areas are dry/dead and full of bindies. I notified reception staff of these issues upon check-out and no apologies were offered, there was also no feedback survey hence my TA review. Aside from these issues, the park is in a GREAT location and has outstanding facilities. The pool, pedal cart hire (they are old and rattly although really fun), the jumping pillow, multiple playgrounds and camp kitchens, weekend kids disco etc. As a young family, we were all very well entertained for our 4 night stay without having to leave the park. There is a great cafe just outside the park that does great food in a relaxed environment.
Super comfortable cabin, in the camp, the time to the store is not concerned (before 17:00 local time), by the time of get off work, if you arrive late, you must contact the front desk or Trip.com in advance, they will leave the password key, do not worry like us late at night. Ctrip met the irresponsible butler who was in a hurry to get off work, and also met the housekeeper who was still trying to contact the hotel late at night. Fortunately, the last time I checked in smoothly; the cabin was clean, warm and very good.

We booked a two-bedroom apartment. When we arrived, we discovered that it was a townhouse apartment with two floors, a living room on the first floor, and a garden. From the garden, there is the hotel's large circular swimming pool. The day we checked in was cloudy and windy. , it was too cold to swim in the water. The kitchen facilities in the room are quite good. The stove can turn on the induction cooker with 4 pots at the same time. It is not bad to have dinner and dinner. There are 2 tennis courts, and the children also played tennis. The location is still very good. The next day I drove to Anna Bay to go sandboarding and go out to see dolphins.

A bit disappointed that Trip.com didn’t give you the option to claim NSW vouchers.
Landmark Resort provide excellent customer service, best I had ever experienced. Sam was amazing on our arrival and very helpful. Floors were sticky from soap residue, she came up within 10 minutes to wipe over tiles with clean water. Later that evening, she came up again to help me with the turning on the stove.
Apartment was immaculate and well designed for a small 1 bedroom. Comfortable and modern. Lots of double PowerPoints to plug in your own devices. Beautiful view off the balcony. Excellent fast wifi. Great pool and games room (air hockey with ability to team up with a partner - 4 players, plus other games).
Negatives:
1. Kitchen - No oven. Could add scissors, wooden spoon and smaller sized pan. Strange to have a huge fry pan to cook for 2 people, and on a small stove top. Also would recommend replacing Tefal type plans as they can become a health hazard when old.
Bathroom - Shower head could do with an upgrade to handheld as the fixed one is small, and only wets just below shoulders, plus splashes everywhere. We made good use of the spa bath. Square toilet seats aren’t comfortable.
Iron is very cheap and old. Dirt was coming out of the holes underneath and water kept spilling out of it.
Post covid, most 5 star hotels have reduced their standards and their service levels, and truly, are not providing what we expect at that level anymore. That is not the case with the Anchorage. Aside from the large, stylish and wonderfully clean rooms, that come with stocked mini bars, quality Dyson hairdryers, generous toiletry supplies, the 2 pools, beach next door, kabana area and lovely restaurants, ( we ate in both The Galley and Wild Herring, and breakfast is a high standard) it is the little complementary touches that set this place apart. It is the staff circling the pool offering fresh watermelon and zooper dooper ice pops, champagne/ mimosas and barista coffee at breakfast, sun cream and chilled water poolside, and a drink when you check in. The staff are wonderful and nothing feels like too much trouble from everyone that we encountered - Olivia and team at the front desk, to housekeeping crew and all the wait staff. A call out to Angela, James, Carlos and Katie for your disposition and service, thank you. I have been here a few times for work, facilitating events for clients but not had the opportunity to enjoy the location. This time I booked a leisure trip with my family and I write this review because it truly has been a wonderful experience and they deserve the acknowledgment. I would recommend The Anchorage to clients and friends alike based on the thoughtful touches alone.
I don't recommend it for small families(who have young kids).. i booked 2 bedrooms appartment and when i got there i got shoked for the bedroom how far were from each other , one bedroom upstairs and one down stairs , i don't understand how they do something like that, my kids had to sleep on the sofa bed because i won't leave them sleep that far from me.
When i booked it i didn't know that and when i asked them if they can change the room for me they said that's only what we have we don't have 1 bedroom appartment only 2 , i don't understand how come hotel like this hotel only have 2 bedrooms apparment , how come if couples want to book a 1 bedroom apparmtent ??
