A wonderful hotel with everything we need to relax... with excellent conditions and services... staff are very careful and professional... we love the experience, so we will come back more often. We like everything from the room, pools, jacuzzi, breakfast and dinner. It also has the advantage of being a few meters from the Vidago's thermal/bathroom. It's just going up the street. We had passed Chaves many times on the autovia on previous visits to N Portugal but never visited. This, our first visit, was very enjoyable, especially our night spent at the Premium Hotel. Not pre-booked but just dropped by. Very pleasant reception staff who managed to give us a disabled persons equipped room as my wife had in the last week or two an operation for a fractured ankle and was on crutches. Room very comfortable and in the morning the best breakfast selection we have ever had in any hotel be it 5* or other. In addition they have free underground garage parking . Can hearterly recommend this hotel to anyone entering N Portugal from Spain looking for a pleasant stopover.

As the name implies the hotel is right by the castle and within easy walking distance of the sights and the Roman bridge. Parking is available immediately under the hotel with a lift. Our bedroom 105 was large, comfortable and well equipped. Breakfast was good. All the staff were welcoming and helpful. Very good value at €85 b&b.
