Montien Hotel Surawong Bangkok

Silom/Sathorn Bangkok|0.87km from UddC
I had the pleasure of staying at The Montien for 3 weeks 2 months ago when on a company-booked trip. My room and bed were extremely comfortable and spacious, with plenty of natural light and unobstructed views, quality amenities including a Nespresso machine. The Montien decor is modern, Thai style and beautiful. The breakfast buffet is bountiful, with plenty of variety. Pierre Pelletier, the Area General Manager and his team went above and beyond to ensure my stay was outstanding! Then this month when my family and I planned a vacation to Bangkok I picked this hotel as our base. The hotel is conveniently located for easy access to the sky and underground trains, many must-go-to restaurants, cafes, Siam Paragon, temples, Chinatown, night walks and more. We were welcomed with incredible 5-star Thai hospitality. Special mention to Khun Nu, her front desk team and night manager Khun Jew for handling flight delays, airport transfers and arranging pick up of lost luggage, Khun Tik for his world-class warm welcomes, Max’s regular assistance and taxi coordination, the ever-helpful and polite bellmen, Beer remembering our morning coffee preferences, Kae at Ruenton restaurant for looking after us at dinners, friendly Tanya at the lobby bar, the housekeeping team for keeping our 3 rooms impeccable and everyone who made our Bangkok vacation so memorable! It felt like our home away from home and we enjoyed our time here so much!

ISanook Hostel

Silom/Sathorn Bangkok|0.19km from UddC
It was scheduled for the first 2 days, but finally stayed for 5 days. The hostel itself was large and the toilet and shower were clean and clean like the hotel. I had the sheets and so on replaced only once in five days. I couldn't get them to replace it if I didn't say it, and when I said it, I was told NO once. I have 4 days, but I said that I was a little bit 々. Some staff, including the front desk, can't say good response, but there is no problem at all because you can stay in a cheap and beautiful room. The air conditioner at night is quite cold, the problem for me is that there is no curtain, and there is also a bed in the arrangement that is not visible from the surroundings depending on the room making, but the basic is rounded. I used my clothes to the best of my time and solved it instead of the curtain. And the air conditioner was too hard, so I was sleeping in long trousers and ultra light down, but it was still cold and I caught a cold. It is a matter of consideration. It is a little walk from the station, but it is about 10 minutes. Compared to this price and this beauty, there is no problem at all. Throughout the whole, if you are clean of this price and facilities, you can see the other. It is a hotel that can be recommended quite. ※ Note Washing can be done at 30 baht. There are two washing machines, which is the washing machine on the right and the dryer on the left. I put it wrong and put it on the left and put the powder in and turn it around. And the dryer cannot be refunded. The time of the coin you put in seems to be dry. Please be careful to check carefully.

I stayed for 3 nights at the hotel. It was very pleasant. Staff was really friendly. Room was clean. The view was quite nice. Bed was comfortable. The only bad thing is the 10 mins walk from the MRT, it can be a bit scary late at night.

My favourite place to stay in Bangkok. Perfect for young travelers as there is a gym, pool, coworking room and a kitchen. Love the rooftop terrace.

It was a bit of a walk from the station, but it was easy to get to the hotel. It was also nice to have a mall and night market within walking distance!

First impressions (especially for a hotel you’ll be staying at) is important to me. Before I continue with my review, I’d like to say that the staff was friendly and courteous. My review is purely based on the location, room and amenities. This being my first solo traveling experience abroad, I didn’t want to waste any days and wanted to explore a bit. The location of the hotel is in a very dark, dimly lit, narrow alleyway. Not very welcoming, especially at night. My grab/taxi driver had a hard time navigating through just to get me there and after I checked out. (I only stayed one night of my 3 night visit) There is absolutely zero foot traffic in the area and it didn’t inspire any confidence to try and leave the hotel at night. The room itself was clean, but just my luck; the room was located directly next to the elevator. It was a shared wall, so the room could get pretty noisy from the elevator and its occupants. The room was also equipped with a kitchenette but couldn’t find any napkins or tissue paper at all. There weren’t any face towels or soap either. Just a bath mat and two bath towels. I had to go in the shower to use the bath gel for hand washing. Furthermore, if I’m nitpicking there wasn’t a television in the bedroom, no bathroom amenities like lotion and soap, and a window view of a pile of garbage outside. Maybe my expectations were a bit too optimistic from the positive reviews but something didn’t sit right with me staying at that hotel for more than I had to. I was hoping that we could come to a compromise on a partial refund, since I only stayed one night; but the hotel was unwilling; even though I raised my concerns with hotel.com almost immediately.

Beautiful place! If I could visit Bangkok again, I’d still stay here! The owner is very nice and helpful. Their staff and crew are always alert if you need them. The only downside is that the sheets stinks, the pillowcase stinks, and the bathroom is unkempt.
