We had a great stay at Swiss-Garden Hotel Genting Highlands with our 6 year old. The room was very spacious and super clean, which made travelling as a family much more comfortable. Everything felt well maintained and tidy.
The rooftop swimming pool was a lovely bonus — clean, relaxing, and a great spot for our child to enjoy while we took in the views. The hotel had a calm, family-friendly vibe, perfect for a short getaway.
Overall, a comfortable and clean hotel that works really well for families with young children. We’d happily stay here again!FromQAR 138

I stayed at Crockfords Hotel Genting in early October 2025 and was genuinely disappointed by the level of service — especially for a hotel that claims to be Malaysia’s leading luxury property.
On 3 October, I approached the concierge Duty Manager around 9:40am regarding the hotel Wi-Fi, which kept showing an “invalid credentials” error. Instead of taking the initiative to verify the problem — which turned out to be something as simple as incorrect login details given at check-in — he insisted that the IT team would need to come into my room to fix it.
Later in the day, another staff member resolved the issue within minutes by simply checking the credentials. It’s baffling how the Duty Manager couldn’t do something that basic.
Throughout my stay, I also noticed that many of the staff seemed lost and unsure of how to handle simple situations — almost like the blind leading the blind. There was a clear lack of coordination and communication among them.
The breakfast experience was another major letdown. I had breakfast there for three consecutive days, and throughout, the food was never hot — the noodles in soup were the only consistently warm item served. To make matters worse, the staff did not communicate properly among themselves. On one morning, we were told to wait while a table by the window was being cleared for us. After waiting a good five minutes, another group of guests was allowed to take the exact table we were waiting for. The explanation given was simply that “the other guests wanted the table.” Completely unacceptable for a hotel of this supposed calibre.
The only saving grace was the Duty Manager working on 5 Oct and overseeing the breakfast buffet, who was attentive, proactive, and took the initiative to check if guests needed drinks or assistance. His professionalism truly stood out amidst the confusion elsewhere.
For a hotel that boasts winning the Forbes Travel Guide 5-Star Award seven years in a row, this experience was frankly a joke. The gap between Crockfords’ reputation and its actual service standards is staggering.
Truly disappointing and nowhere near what one would expect from a so-called luxury hotel.

Hotel is further up so pros is nice views, cons is harder to get grab (if you don’t drive/rent vehicle). Convenient location as McDonald delivery also manage to deliver to hotel location. There is also food, Marts, laundry etc in 1 km. Saw some tourists walk down as well. Hotel has 2 toilet, small tv not able to play Netflix etc unless you have HDMI to connect your own devices. There is one bedroom without aircon as its door is sliding door (queen bed) so got to leave it open slightly to get the hallway aircon.FromQAR 48

Booked a king size bed room And hotel gave me a twin bed when I was there.
When I complained to Trip.com, trip’s staff ruined my day by asking me to resolve it with the hotel myself.
I am a consumer whom bought a product from trip.com and trip.com is taking the easy way out to ruin my trust and asking me to solve a mistake of trip.com.
Bloody ridiculous platform who has screwed up 2 of my hotel stays in 2 week. The first problem occurred when I was in KL and this time is the second time. I never had this problem with other platformsFromQAR 1,568

I hope they can improve the self check-in machine. When I finished checking in, the receipt didn't come out of the machine, so I only knew my room number but not which floor it was on. I asked a staff member, and they just told me to take a number and wait in line, which took a long time. All I needed to know was the floor, but it ended up being such a hassle.
Here's a suggestion:
It would be great if they could improve this. Even though the room number is shown during check-in, the floor isn't included in the system. At the very least, if the receipt paper runs out, guests could take a photo of it with their phone, which would avoid so much trouble.
Alternatively, they could allow us to enter our email to send the receipt there, and then provide a QR code for us to scan ourselves.FromQAR 96

Location is great if you aren’t the type that likes to stay right at the top. Taking the cable up and down is really convenient and fast. The hotel also has a free shuttle service to the Genting skyway and the premium outlets, and vice-versa such that you won’t need to be a private transport. The villa was also really nice and had ample space for the four of us. It was also foggy and misty with nice cool temperatures making the scenery mysterious and somewhat magical. Would recommend this hotel if you want a nice quiet stay away from the hustle and bustle at the top of the hill!FromQAR 191

The stay location was okay, but there were several issues that affected our experience. The lift access card was very insensitive, and we had to ”gosok-gosok” it repeatedly just to get it to work — even the staff acknowledged this workaround.
The bathroom flooded whenever we took a shower, and the water heater didn’t work even after leaving it on for over 30 minutes, as instructed. How it affects if bringing kids or elderly.
There was no air conditioning, only a fan. Also, the hanging bed lamp kept swinging and hitting the wall when the fan was on, creating an annoying noise.

The official breakfast hours were from 7 AM to 10 AM, but most of the breakfast items were finished by 8:30 AM. Despite paying 70 RM per person for breakfast, I only managed to eat a few items and left feeling hungry from the hotel. They were really nice to provide fruits on our first day, very nice hotel to stay in however.. television wasn’t working esp the television in the toilet doesn’t have a remote controller that works. Nak cari mkn halal senang, walking distance jer. It a very good place kalau nak stay dgn reasonable price. WiFi memuaskan, TV ada channel, mesin basuh + dryer and 2 room + 2 toilet.
Bad thing, kepala terhantuk almari sebab terlalu rendah dan curtain agak menggangu. Sampai berdarah jugak, mgmt kena ltk something.

Ohayo Suite Midhill is very nice place to stay and room itself is very unique. It was such a pleasant and comfortable for our family to sleep well with all the accommodations provided. I would highly recommend this room for a stay in Genting Highland, if you plan to stay half way in Genting Highland particularly in Gohtong Jaya.
