MaisuidaotianMy first time staying in a rainforest was a truly unique experience. The air was incredibly fresh and it was so peaceful. Having a hot spring right in the room was amazing! Despite being in the forest, there wasn't a single mosquito or bug inside, and there was a lovely, subtle essential oil scent. Breakfast was also a special experience; you cross a small bridge to a restaurant surrounded by the rainforest. I even had black chicken soup, which was incredibly delicious!

Let me just say upfront, I'm not a shill, but out of all the hotels I've stayed at, Mission Hills Haikou's service definitely ranks among the top. Every single staff member has an exceptionally great attitude; almost everyone proactively greets you. The lobby staff were particularly excellent – they arranged breakfast and kids' club access for my child and even upgraded our room. Both the hotel's soft and hard amenities are top-notch, and the breakfast is incredibly rich and definitely deserves praise. I'll definitely stay at Mission Hills Haikou again next time I'm in Haikou.

I’d been looking at this hotel for a while and finally booked it. It’s definitely a great option for families. What really stood out was the swimming pool, which is divided into several areas, and that’s fantastic! One area has a large water slide and operates from 1-5 PM on weekdays. On Saturdays and Sundays, it's open in the morning too. Then there’s a diving pool perfect for younger kids that opens at 8:30 AM, which is great for an early dip. And finally, there's a lap pool with lanes. So, it really caters to a variety of needs, which I found excellent.
The butler service was also top-notch. They checked in daily to see if we needed anything or had any issues, and they were always quick to resolve them. Plus, when our flight was delayed today, they proactively offered a late checkout until 3 PM. We didn't actually need it, but the fact that they offered without us asking shows how thoughtful and great they are.
The hotel also offers a travel photoshoot with 5 free photos. If you’re good at photography yourself, you can just pick those 5. Their photographers do a good job too. However, considering how hot it was, I felt a bit bad for the photographer, so I ended up choosing 5 extra photos. They even gave me one more for free, but the price wasn't cheap; 6 photos cost 200 RMB. Overall, it’s still a good deal. If you’re confident in your own photography skills, just choosing the 5 free ones is perfectly fine. They don't force you to spend extra; it's all optional, which is great.

Guest UserThis hotel offers great value for money and has an excellent location. The rooms are nice, and the hotel views are quite good. The breakfast is also plentiful, catering to various tastes. The facilities include a swimming pool and hot springs, making it ideal for families with children. I particularly want to commend the lifeguard at the pool. My child, without me noticing, jumped into the pool where it was a bit deep and swallowed some water. The lifeguard spotted it immediately and rescued them, preventing any harm. I'm very grateful for the lifeguard's attentiveness and responsibility. I highly recommend this hotel.

Guest UserBoth my room and public areas of the hotel were attractive and spacious. It has a lovely location on the river with beautiful grounds lushly planted, a fantastic swimming pool that’s a bit separated from the young children’s pool and is quieter. The hot spring spas were wonderful, especially the first one where hundreds of fish nibble away at the dead skin on your feet and extremities. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. One of the managers even noticed that I was a guest on my birthday and prepared a cake for me. I hope that I can return one day. Both restaurants offered good food and service.

What impressed me most was the hotel's service. From the entrance to the room, there was always someone seamlessly guiding me, and their attitude was warm and welcoming. Traveling alone with a child, the experience was excellent. They have an indoor pool, and even when it's sunny, there's a place for kids to play. Breakfast was quite diverse. It's perfect for family trips and vacations. The only downside is that the beach right outside seems to be under some kind of construction, which isn't very aesthetically pleasing right now.

RuinuoNAStraight from the airport, I headed to the guesthouse, arriving late in the evening. The moment I walked in, I was captivated by the elegant and tasteful courtyard.
As the first stop of my trip, staying near the Nanshan Temple scenic area offered a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle. The charming, staggered courtyards, adorned with flowers, birds, and lush greenery, along with a tea room and a pool, looked absolutely enchanting under the night lights.
The staff were also very welcoming, and the room was incredibly comfortable with very soft bedding. Staying here was simply a delight.

We went in mid June, rainy season so it was low season. For the price that we paid for the 2 bedroom villa, which included breakfast (at another hotel) entry to ocean park, The Five Country Hot Spring City, and personal shuttle bus service within the island. I think it was well worth it. Service was prompt and courteous, although communication was all through WeChat and in Chinese. Convenient but knowing sone Chinese would be better to utilize services . We stayed in the Japanese style villa, and it was tastefully decorated, spacious and comfortable. We especially loved having our own dry and steam sauna, and our own personal outdoor hot spring bath! Real hot spring mineral water! I recommend this place especially for people who love hot spring baths and want to avoid busy touristy hotels.
Cleanliness: overall quite clean.
Location: walking distance to ocean park and hot spring city, so quite convenient. 5-10 minutes shuttle ride to most places within the island.
Service: knowing someone is available 24 hours was nice. They were eager to help with whatever we needed. The main concierge during the day was more friendly, competent and experienced.
Amenities: everything we needed was provided. There was a Dyson hair dryer, fridge etc. If you are picky about your shampoo soaps etc, you may want to bring your own. But they do provide them.

The surrounding amenities are great, but it's very crowded. The shuttle service was terrible; the driver left without waiting for us, and didn't stop even when we chased after it. It was very sunny and hot, so I wouldn't recommend it if you're traveling with kids, unless you pay for their private car service. This felt like a hidden cost. We paid over 2000 for two rooms that day, which isn't cheap at all. The shuttle service from the hotel to the Ocean Park was very bad. The bus was packed, and my child even went missing, which led to us calling the police. This shuttle service has serious safety issues. For breakfast, there were too many people and not enough tables, so we had to wait a long time. We had to find seats ourselves with our child. There weren't enough staff, and the staggered timing for meals didn't work well. In short, it was a terrible and expensive trip. The staff themselves were very kind and helpful, but every single aspect of the experience made me feel like I was about to explode. I don't know why. It was completely different from our stay at Hilton last year. The room cleanliness wasn't great, probably because it was peak season and they didn't have time to clean thoroughly!

Guest UserI can only say this area is suitable for day trips, not long-term stays. This hotel is great for kids to play in the water. For the past two days, it seems like there haven't been many guests, so the environment is well-maintained. There are a few large swimming pools, but no beach here. It's a good spot to bring children to play in the water. If you're a solo female traveler and plan on being out all day, I wouldn't recommend staying here – it's a bit out of the way. Perhaps it's just because I visited during the off-season and there were fewer people; I'm not sure what it's like during peak season. The room facilities are still very good, and the public pools are decent. For food delivery, the minimum order is usually around 100 [currency unit]. To get to more famous restaurants by taxi takes about 10 to 20 minutes. At least I got to see a beautiful sunset!
