Hot Springs Hotels in Hainan, China

The biggest drawback is how small the room is; there's barely enough space to open your luggage. The exterior looks really grand and luxurious, but the room layouts are quite poor, and the rooms are genuinely tiny. Service: It was decent; they even upgraded my room. Otherwise, there are only three hotels on the island, and given my budget, I chose this mid-range one. Overall: The small room size is a significant downside, but the accompanying services are good.

We chose to spend New Year's Eve here with my wife, and this hotel truly has a unique charm and comfort, thanks to its rainforest surroundings and hot springs. Inside the hotel, you can leisurely stroll along rainforest paths, and from your room's balcony, you can soak in a hot spring pool. The constant chirping of countless birds and the soothing sound of the stream, day and night, create a peaceful atmosphere. The hotel is definitely not luxurious or bustling, but it offers a welcoming, home-like ambiance. When we arrived, an elegant lady greeted us at the entrance, helped us with our luggage, and directed us to parking. Her demeanor made it hard to believe she was a concierge staff member. During the New Year's Eve celebration, there was a ceremony where a jar of wine, buried in the forest, was unearthed and personally uncorked and shared by the hotel's general manager. That's when we realized the lady who greeted us was indeed the general manager! A hotel where the GM acts as a concierge, and does it so naturally, must be special! However, the hotel also had some... unique staff members. For our New Year's Eve dinner, we ordered a roasted suckling pig. After waiting forty minutes with no sign of it, a seemingly authoritative male waiter told us it would take a bit longer, about ten minutes. With it being New Year's Eve and so many people, I completely understood. But then we waited for another hour. Fortunately, we finally ate it in 2025, and we were still happy. When we checked out, a female manager gave us a discount, but that male waiter seemed displeased. The next day, for New Year's dinner, I still wanted to try the hotel restaurant. Upon entering, we ran into the same male waiter from last year, who said there were no tables and we'd have to wait twenty minutes. I asked if the food would still be slow, and he said it would be very slow. So, we decided to get a taxi from the lobby entrance to eat outside the hotel. A white-haired older 'bellhop' who was helping us get a taxi said, 'If you want Li family cuisine, we have excellent food here.' I said, 'You don't have any space!' He replied, 'Come, come, I'll arrange something for you.' He led us in, and a table was immediately about to open up! I could tell he was definitely a leader! The story doesn't end there. The next day, for breakfast, the host at the entrance was again that same male waiter we had seemingly offended. He tried to seat us by a pillar! Even though there were clearly seats by the window! We didn't bother arguing and just sat ourselves at a window seat. There was nobody there! I've rambled on for so long, but it just goes to show that while an entire team strives, they can often be held back by a few individuals. I'll definitely come back to this hotel for the hot springs if I get the chance. Why bother going to Japan for a hot spring?

Whenever I want to eat seafood, I always like to go to Maniao. The first choice for staying is Lingao Country Garden Golden Beach. The hotel should have been opened for more than ten years. The hotel facilities are well maintained and the service level is excellent. This year, it was quite unexpected that a staff member contacted me in advance the day before check-in, and arranged a room for me in advance and upgraded it. Thank you very much. I hope that the service level can be maintained for a long time. There are not many good hotels on the west line of Hainan.

Environment: What you see is what you get – you can see the beach and the sea right from your bed. It’s beautiful. I’ve also looked around nearby, and this is the only place I saw with floor-to-ceiling windows offering a sea view, which is stunning! Service: The service is absolutely exceptional. Almost any request you make to the front desk is taken care of. They even gave us complimentary welcome desserts (P2). Facilities: We all loved the bathtub – it was perfect for photos! My only wish is that the tub in our room had been in the center instead of to the side. I brought my girlfriends here to take some gorgeous swimsuit photos, and they turned out amazing!

The room is spacious, and the mattress is just right—not too soft, which is great for anyone with back issues. The hotel is quite close to Wuyuanhe Stadium and even closer to the beach. You can hear the sound of the waves at night, which is really soothing and helps with sleep. Breakfast is also pretty good with lots of options. They even have robots delivering room service now, which is a nice touch! 👍 The butler service was excellent too, very proactive in resolving any issues. I'd definitely choose to stay here again next time.

The package deal offered great value, but requires a one-day advance booking. We loved it so much that we extended our stay for another day; our little one even cried when we had to leave, absolutely not wanting to go! On the downside, there are very few dining options nearby, and food delivery services are also limited. The water park downstairs closes early at 7 PM. The 'ice world' included in the hotel package is quite small and not worth a special trip. However, you can take the hotel shuttle bus to a different area for food and shopping.

The room was incredibly spacious with a stunning sea view! The facilities were top-notch, and the breakfast spread was plentiful and very refined. The freshly made wontons were delicious. The hotel is conveniently located close to the cross-sea pier. To the north, there's a coastal road with a jogging path, which was popular with runners in the morning.

Haikou Marriott Hotel is one of the best hotels I've stayed at recently. Everything from the environment to the service was impeccable. The hotel boasts an excellent location on Binhai Avenue in Xiuying District, offering both urban convenience and proximity to the coastline. The sea view is expansive, and our butler, Serena, provided thoughtful and attentive service throughout our stay. From check-in guidance to responding to our needs, everything was efficient and thorough, allowing us to completely relax during our entire stay!

Extremely satisfied with my stay. The hotel's front desk staff were very warm, professional, and attentive. Especially Ms. Xiaofang, who was enthusiastic and patient, proactively upgraded our room, and kindly introduced us to the hotel's surroundings and other services. We were so pleased that we extended our stay twice. We had originally booked a suite, but the hotel upgraded us directly to a river view suite, which was fantastic with a huge balcony and a breathtaking view. The housekeeping staff were also incredibly meticulous; the room was cleaned thoroughly and with great care. As a smoker, I initially used a mineral water bottle as an ashtray on the balcony. To my surprise, the next day I found the housekeeping staff had placed an ashtray and hotel matches on the balcony for me, which was a very thoughtful touch. All in all, it was a highly satisfying experience, and I will definitely prioritize Pullman Hotels in the future.

Huge thanks to the front desk for the room upgrade! Check-in was super fast, and we got a lake-view room. The view from the sixth floor was pretty good, though the highest floor is the seventh, so it obviously can't compare to the views from higher-floor rooms. But being on a lower floor meant less wind, so it felt really warm and cozy. The hotel's public area pool is beautiful. The outdoor pool is cold water, not heated. However, the indoor heated pool makes up for it – you can swim there and then go for a hot spring dip, which is incredibly comfortable! I'd suggest increasing the frequency of maintenance for the hot spring pools; when I went, the water quality wasn't as good as I'd imagined, and the hot spring water quality isn't quite on par with places like Tengchong or Guangzhou. It's a bit stingy that guests consuming at the lobby bar still have to pay extra for the billiard table. I'd suggest changing this to a reservation-based system with a time limit; guests would probably feel better about that. Breakfast overall was decent. The live cooking stations for noodles and vermicelli were freshly prepared, and the broths were excellent. However, the soy milk and coconut milk were both watered down and flavorless, like too much water had been added, making them very bland. I hope this can be improved, because the self-service Qingbuliang (a refreshing dessert soup) loses its meaning if the coconut milk isn't good! The housekeeping staff are very diligent. For consecutive stays, it felt almost like checking into a new room every day. But as a five-star resort, shouldn't the complimentary bottled water at least be something like Nongfu Spring? This 'Ice Dew' brand is a bit much. A few extra cents in cost wouldn't hurt, right?
