Rus Irkutsk Hostel is located in the very center of Irkutsk city. The airport is 6 km away, and the train station is 1.8 km away. The historical 130th quarter of Irkutsk is 500 meters away, the Irkutsk Museum of Local Lore is 500 meters away, and all the main attractions of the city are within walking distance.
There is a Philharmonic public transport stop at the entrance to the hostel, from where it is convenient to get anywhere in the city.
It offers rooms for every taste: from dormitories to a private room with its own bathroom.
There are 7 rooms in total, 3 showers and three toilets. Each room has air conditioning, TV (except 2.3 rooms). All rooms are located on the ground floor of a commercial building.
The hostel has a relaxation area, as well as a kitchen, which has everything you need for cooking and eating. Wi-Fi is free throughout the hostel. We provide a transfer service upon request. Inform the administrator about this in advance. The hostel has round-the-clock video surveillance and Rosgvardiya security for your safety.
We accept groups of up to 35 people. Catering is possible on request.

"Traveling solo from China to Siberia, my short two-to-three-day stay with the hosts in Irkutsk was the warmest, most unexpected highlight of my entire trip. The host couple and their friends were incredibly genuine and friendly. Despite the language barrier, we communicated patiently using translation software, and there was absolutely no sense of distance. The accommodation was clean and warm, fully equipped with kitchenware and toiletries, offering an immersive experience of local daily life.
The hosts proactively shared sightseeing routes for Lake Baikal, explained Siberian customs, and even gave me local specialty gifts. Their family warmly invited me to eat and chat with them, allowing me to genuinely experience the gentle warmth of ordinary Russian people. As my departure approached, I was very reluctant to leave. This homestay experience bypassed the typical tourist routines and allowed me to forge pure and sincere cross-cultural friendships. I highly recommend this local guesthouse to solo travelers; the value for money and overall experience far exceed that of a hotel."

VVincent1.Water temperature in the shower is inconsistent (alternates between hot and cold).
2.The shower drain is slow / not draining smoothly.
3.On the first day of check-in, found dirty water inside the electric kettle.
4. Toiletries were used up and not replenished.
5. Bed sheets and linens were not changed or tidied up during the 3-day stay.
6. Poor soundproofing (can frequently hear people walking and talking).

AAldyngThis hotel offers an excellent stay experience. The rooms are clean, tidy and well-ventilated with cosy bedding. The staff are warm and considerate. Boasting a prime location and great value for money, it is highly recommended!

GGuest UserWhen I booked the room, I was sure there would be a private restroom and shower, but upon check-in, I discovered the facilities were shared. Please note this! It's very important to me that the facilities are private, so if this is also critical for you, I don't recommend this hotel (hostel).
Another thing that bothered me was that the doors to the common areas don't lock at night, meaning anyone can come in. The common doors leading from the elevator also don't have any kind of combination lock. The management said there were cameras everywhere, but for me personally, cameras can't stop me from doing something while I'm in the act; they can be used in court after the fact. So, this detail also caused me discomfort.
Otherwise, everything was fine: clean, conveniently located, nice courtyard, and we booked through the app without any additional paperwork or passport scans.

GGuest UserAll aspects are very general. But the price is here. Basically no one went in June. In fact, the public bathroom shower was okay, and I basically didn't wait. Don't live during the peak tourist season.

GGuest UserIn general, if you want to spend the night on a budget, then I think it's okay, but it's still better to overpay a little and rent a normal hotel. The rooms are on the second floor, the kitchen, toilet and shower are on the first, very inconvenient (( and it's also very cold downstairs, also if someone talks in the hallway, you can hear them in the room very well

IIrkerRight in the station building. Good beds, lingerie, high ceilings. It is unusual to stay at the station)) Resident only according to the documents of the Russian Federation, the country will not pass. Let's go to 2 floor with luggage on the stairs
