Great hostel! Good shower pressure, clean dorms and toilets. Spacious and fresh smelling beds lots of power sockets available in your capsule.
10 mins walk away from old town which can feel longer because it’s so hot outside but you can rent motorbike to go to Gunung Park and temples nearby.
Free breakfast is amazing! Cereal, milk, coffee and bread. Lovely staff and very nice. Check in process was quick and easy especially as I arrived late
The most important thing is the price/performance ratio. The location is very convenient to go anywhere and you can visit many places. The basic facilities are complete, and purifier drinking water is provided. The water quality is very good. I haven't seen this in several youth hostels I stayed in before. The only drawback may be that objectively because it is close to the intersection, it is necessary to have noise-canceling headphones when sleeping. There is nothing else. Suky's service is friendly and efficient. Overall, it is worth recommending~
I have to be honest, this hostel is one of the best that you can find with this modest price, but excellent services.
First enter, the counter was having a good chat with a chinese, teen girl who traveled alone in Malaysia. The counter, who is a girl immediately served me as I wanted to place my luggage here before exploring Ipoh .
When i check in, around 2pm, (yeah i can check in before 3pm, this is a life saver), an uncle, who served me with care and gave me a tour with their amenities.
The amenities were amazing. You can play guitar if you do as they provided at the resting area. You can have a relaxing, comforting hot bath with shampoo and body wash provided. The pillows and bed were cozy...
The only thing i am unsatisfied is the attitude of the chinese traveler who sleeps beside me. I can hesr his whispers, saying rude words in chinese (maybe he is having a bad time in Ipoh i guess).
The rest, is awesome. If you are looking for a cozy place to stay with home's warmth and modest price, Miner's house is for you.
The host was very friendly and helpful, and the check-in and check-out process was smooth. Overall, it felt safe and welcoming.
Just a small note for future guests: this homestay has a “quiet hour” policy, which means you should avoid making noise — no music, no loud conversations, and try to keep your voice low in the room. During our stay, my friends and I received a noise complaint, even though we were not being loud. It may have come from another traveler nearby. So it’s important to be extra careful during quiet hours to avoid misunderstandings.
Overall, I would recommend this homestay to anyone looking for a comfortable place to stay, as long as you are mindful of the quiet hour rules
The facilities and the service in the hostel are good.
The room condition is subjective.
1. The damage is not fixed before opening for the next customer use. Not affect the use of the room but is a bad presentation.
2. The curtain rail rack for the lower bed is not concealed, with a screw expose could cause the upper bed user easily get cut which happen to my daughter.
3. When renovation works are off, there is no immediate cleaning of the common area cause the whole place dusty especially the floor. I think the cleaner did come in to mop the floor later.
4. The noise from the neighboring nightclub hopefully they can be off before 2 am.

SSamsolJohanThe perfect place from which to explore Pangkor Island. Very comfortable and warm room. Plenty of electric sockets to charge my devices and work with my laptop. Great TV and really excellent hot shower, so easy to use. Friendly staff and fantastic breakfasts. I love the Nasi lemak. The hotel is very central within easy reach of shops, eating places and water sport . I will certainly be back. Hidden gem for breakfast and lunch in Pangkor Island.
Excellent food, lunch Rm15/person, abundant nasi goreng. Tested chicken today, which was excellent. Great chef and excellent price and quality ratio. Cosy restaurant facilities.

AAisyah AmalI had a pleasant stay. The room was good and spacious, and the toilet was clean. Parking was also free, which is very convenient. The only downside was that the towel provided had some visible stains on. I’m not sure what the stains were, but they weren’t blood. Hopefully this can be looked into for better cleanliness. Other than that, everything else was great.
SSaidaMotel with a rather large room facing the beach, you can hear the waves in the evening or early morning; it's wonderful. However, be careful; monkeys are present on the rooftops in the morning and make a lot of noise; you have to keep the windows closed. The beach is beautiful and almost empty, which is good for people who like peace and quiet.
The problem is that the staff isn't always present; the Duty Free store employees manage the rooms and handle check-ins.
You have to get around the island by taxi or motorbike; there's no Grab on the island.
