I've stayed at many hostels, and someplaceelse definitely ranks in my top 3.
Location 📍: Super easy to find, right next to Love Lane. There's a Family Mart and 7-Eleven just down the alley, which is really convenient for grabbing snacks. At night, you can walk right out to the night market – couldn't be handier.
Cleanliness: Incredibly, impeccably clean! You have to take your shoes off from the second floor up. Staff clean daily, and even though the restrooms are shared by men and women, they are absolutely spotless. No exaggeration, it's genuinely fantastic.
Atmosphere: There are activities every evening on the first floor, like singing, movie nights, and interactive quizzes. So, even if you don't go out, you won't be bored.
Staff: Everyone is super nice and always happy to help with any questions.
All in all, if I come back to Penang, I'm definitely staying here again!!!
Overall, it's a good place for someone seeking accommodation for medical treatment. However, it's not suitable for a vacation, as the price doesn't match the facilities.
This was my first time staying in a hostel, and I'm giving this place a 10/10 – I'm absolutely delighted with everything. For the price, it's an absolute steal! Resthub is right in the heart of Georgetown, with all the major attractions within walking distance. There's a shopping mall just across the road, and tons of cafes and restaurants nearby. The capsules (rooms) are incredibly clean, with comfortable mattresses and pillows. They provide towels, slippers, toothbrushes, and toothpaste. In the showers, you'll find shampoo, shower gel, soap, and even a hairdryer. All the other guests were considerate and quiet. I felt very safe thanks to the automatic door locks and key card access for the rooms.
Actually, the hotel is very good, clean and the location is easy to find. But most of the customers are Chinese. After 5 p.m., they still talk loudly, not considerate, and do not keep the shared bathroom clean. But overall, the receptionist is good.
The hotel says it was converted from a historical building, but what I can't understand is why there isn't even a name on the door. I couldn't be sure even after driving around a few times, and it was difficult to stop and confirm. Although there was an email description, I couldn't confirm from the door that this was the place the email said it was.
The walls of the room are a bit thin, and I can feel it when the residents in the isolation room lean against the wall. The Muslim morning prayer begins at 5 a.m. One of the 4 water heaters was broken, and one was turned on to 55 degrees but still seemed to be 37 degrees. I feel that the overall facilities are rough.
The location of the hotel is very good, right next to love lane. It is a good choice for those who like nightlife. It has to be close to other places as well.
The overall experience was not as good as expected.
I was very satisfied with my overall experience at this hotel! First and foremost, the most convenient aspect was the airport transfer service. The driver was punctual and friendly, making the journey from the airport to the hotel very smooth. I didn't have to worry about transportation or getting lost at all. This service is truly thoughtful, especially for first-time visitors to the city.
The hotel's hygiene was also quite impressive. Whether it was the lobby, elevators, or inside the rooms, everything was meticulously cleaned, and the air was fresh with no unpleasant odors. The bed in the room was soft and comfortable, the bathroom was clean and tidy, and all the towels and amenities were well-stocked, making for a very reassuring stay. The daily cleaning service was also excellent; the staff would proactively clean and replenish daily necessities.
The location was also fantastic. The hotel is situated in a very convenient area with many restaurants, cafes, and convenience stores nearby. You can easily find food or daily essentials within a short walk. Whether you want to try local specialties or just grab a quick meal, it's incredibly easy. Moreover, the hotel is not far from shopping malls and public transportation, making it convenient for taking a taxi or public bus.

Very Good
GGuest UserThis was a temporary stopover near the airport. The environment was, to put it mildly, not great. The shower and toilet weren't separated, and as it's a Muslim household, you can't wear shoes inside, which made using the bathroom quite a hassle. Another issue was the significant noise from the road. However, it was cheap and close to the airport, and the host was very welcoming.

Iisaac_isacWith the economic price of the hostel, it gets everything including shower (not too hot water), room with air cond. (not very spacious) and a simple free breakfast (only toast with jam/butter & watermelon). Good for backpackers and sth need to know in advance: no shoes allow walking up the stairs to rooms (no lift). Hopefully the cold water section of their water fountain will be fixed, so people can have free cool drinking water without buying bottles.
The staffs were nice and got recommended to try mee sotong😄

GGuest UserThe staff at the hotel is so friendly and welcoming. Excellent service. The room is spacious, clean and bed very comfortable. Walking distance to Gurney drive and Gurney promenade. Early morning watch sun rises over the horizon. The promenade is big and clean. People jogging.
Food court nearby. Hotel 22 is the most colourful hotel in the area and can be seen from a distance. Would recommend anyone to stay in Hotel 22 if they are on the budget.
AAnonymous UserConsidering the price, this hotel is reasonable for a short stay. It has all the basic necessities, but if you're looking for something particularly comfortable, it's just okay. The main drawback of the hotel is the soundproofing.
MM_NABEELThe hotel management is good they do the room cleaning service on time and overall the room are spacious and air condition with free wifi and hot and cold water is also there
HherbstregenExcellent value for money! The room was spacious, and the whole place was clean and tidy. The owner is a Malaysian Chinese, so you can communicate in simple Mandarin, which is super convenient for Chinese guests who aren't fluent in English. The location is pretty good too; there's a bus stop nearby, and it's only about a 10-minute walk to the heart of Georgetown. All in all, at this price point, it's undoubtedly the king of value for money.
GGuest UserWith the price I paid, I'm totally satisfied with everything, water heater in good condition, air cond running smoothly, 2 toilet paper provided with 2 small bar soap..the room and bathroom is clean, kiblat direction, beddings necessities quite comfortable. I just hope the hotel can add more details on their site, mine don't have windows but no complain since we stay for short time. Iron and drinking water provided at the stairs.
