Except for the excellent location (nearest to Tobu-Nikko Station and the buses stops to various locations and places of interest, the hotel is badly in need of upgrades for it's rooms, facilities and amenities.
The room I stayed in is big (compared to most hotel rooms in Japan) but the toilet seat cover keeps falling down while using it.
Plenty of cobwebs at corners , especially along the corridor.
The bathroom taps is like a 'makeshift' upgrade shared by basin and bathtub. See photo.
Good thing is that I can see upgrading and renovation taking place but seems like it has been going on for a very long time already.
Very good hostel, better than in the pictures. We had a room for 4 people with private toilet, only the shower to share. The onsen is very clean and contains two pools inside and outside. Two washing machines and two dryers are available with additional payment. Kitchen is big and clean.
The hotel is far from the main activity of Nikko (Nikkō Tōshō-gū and a hike with waterfalls). The train system even if you take Nikko pass in Tokyo is not perfect because it requires to take additional tickets for an express train, because it is not included in the pass.
Cleanliness, facilities and amenities are good, but there are few 々 dissatisfaction with sound and temperature management. Is it a special point that you can't eat and drink in the room? I stopped at the public bath in the neighborhood but I was very satisfied there. It was a goldfish hot water.
There is a parking lot for free parking, and there is also a paid three-dimensional parking lot on the side (parking coupons can be given to the store counter to pass the card, free parking)
Rigui Hot Spring, there is a towel, the hot spring pool is divided into indoor and outdoor, there is also a steam room, oven, well-equipped, the environment is very clean, the staff attitude is very good, recommended!

Very Good
GGuest UserWould like to say first that our experience was stellar and we had a wonderful stay. It's very clear from the lodging that the owners take pride in their establishment. The whole vibe of the place was that of a lodge/cabin located in the mountains. It was a very comforting and warm place to return to after a chilly hike. The hamburg steak was wonderful and for lack of a better word, perfect. I want to stress that the service was wonderful, but you should check when reception is open. We also had some difficulties as the kerosene heater was foreign to us. Nevertheless, one would be hard pressed to find a better lodging for sightseeing along lake chuzenji or (as for us) lake yunoko. A real gem.
BBinbinluoVery good hotel, except that the road is a bit difficult to find, the room is super big, the toilet is also very big, the bed is also a hard bed, very good, the grandfather who provides the service is very kind, like one

AandylyA very good hotel with complete facilities, convenient location, courteous and attentive staff, neat and clean rooms, and all daily necessities. I will book again next time.
