I found the room to be quite clean, and the self-check-in process was very smooth. I have no issues with the host/establishment at all. It's also pretty close to the subway.
The only downside is that it can get a bit noisy when there are more people, especially around 11 or 12 at night when some guests are still tidying up or chatting (this is more of a guest issue). If you're looking for a really good night's sleep, I'd still recommend a hotel.

Imano Osaka Shinsaibashi Hostel is a gem for solo travelers. The room was clean and comfortable, just what you need after a full day exploring. Breakfast was a nice surprise—healthy plus unlimited drinks, which is always a win. Location is super convenient, just a short walk to the train station and surrounded by konbinis for quick bites anytime. Everything felt easy and hassle-free here. If you’re traveling alone and want something practical, cozy, and well-located, this place hits the mark.

Spotlessly clean with super friendly staff! Even though it's a hostel dorm, the facilities are convenient and comfortable. Definitely my top choice in Tennoji! Five stars for Cogo Hotel Tennoji Osaka, Japan. It's a dormitory-style hotel that's clean, hygienic, and the staff are incredibly welcoming.

This was my first time staying in a capsule hotel, and overall, this one was great. Even with my mild潔癖 (germaphobia) and light sleep, I found it perfectly acceptable. The hotel hosts guests from all over the world, and during my stay, everyone on my floor was quiet and considerate. The hotel provides a full set of toiletries, including facial cleanser, toner, and lotion, as well as hair dryers and curling irons. The front desk was incredibly accommodating to all requests (if you don't speak Japanese and struggle with English, using AI translation apps like Doubao is super convenient and accurate! 👍). However, they don't provide umbrellas on rainy days, so remember to bring your own.
One minor downside: I found a slipper left by a previous guest in the luggage storage area. While it didn't really affect my stay, I hope the hotel pays a bit more attention to cleaning.
The area nearby is very quiet, with a Family Mart and a few restaurants. Even coming back at 10 PM, the streets weren't crowded; mostly just commuters, and I didn't encounter any strange people.
P.S. If you're arriving via the **red Midosuji Line** and have a lot of luggage, it's really not advisable to use exit 23 due to the stairs! **Honmachi Station** has three lines, and walking through the station is a super long journey with many stairs, which can be a nightmare during rush hour! I recommend taking the elevator from the exit circled in the picture (the map doesn't specify the exact exit number, but essentially, after exiting the elevator, you'll be on the roadside, facing a TASAKI store) and then walking to the hotel. It's a bit of a distance to the hotel but entirely flat, and following navigation makes it easy. The other two lines are relatively better, so you can choose an elevator exit closer to the street level.

It's a good location for travellers looking to explore Osaka. It's close to Osaka Castle and the local underground lines while remaining within a reasonable distance of the city's main downtown district. It has all the needed amenities, fully furnished kitchen equipped with a stove, microwave, and all necessary cutlery, and coin operated laundry. While the dormitories are simple and functional rather than luxurious, they are consistently clean and well-maintained. The sleeping areas are sectioned off to feel private and quiet.

Was a good hostel with comfy beds and plenty of room. Common area is spacious with cooking appliances which is good. Staff are so so lovely!
I read many reviews about the train running across it but do not take these lightly!! I’m pretty good at sleeping through snoring, parties etc but the train is so insanely loud and the entire hostel shakes. I would sleep solidly from 12-5 then wake up every couple of minutes as the trains started again.

The room was spacious and the neighborhood was quiet, yet not too far from the subway station. Wandering through the small streets felt very much like being in Japan. The front desk staff was incredibly patient and communicated with me using a translator. The bathroom and shower were very clean. However, it's worth noting that this room only has a private shower, not a private toilet.

Service is very nice and helpful. I got a lot of tips that were very valuable to me. Near the metro line. Shower is provided only for women with excellent cosmetics for people who care for the skin. I recommend. If I ever welcome to Osaka, I'll be sure to come back.

I arrived at 2:30 PM, but early check-in wasn't available. Still, I appreciated being able to store my luggage! I'm not sure about the exact capacity of the place I booked, but it seemed to accommodate about 20 people. There wasn't a dedicated spot for suitcases; instead, you'd use a lock and key provided at check-in to secure your bags. I liked that there were individual shoe compartments! Most importantly, the free drinks in the common area were a great bonus, and I made good use of them. The cleanliness was also impressive! Although it was a shared bathroom, the showers were individual stalls, and they were well-equipped with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, a hairdryer, and even a hair straightener. Towels, however, needed to be rented.
The bed assignment was given at check-in. The main issue was that the curtain for my bunk was half mesh, and even at night, the lights didn't turn off, making it hard to get a good night's sleep. I could hear everything, and it was too bright. That was my biggest disappointment.
Despite that, the other facilities were good, and I had a pleasant one-night stay!

This was not my first hostel experience, and I have to say, I was a bit disappointed.
Let’s start with the positive aspects first:
The location was absolutely perfect — I don’t think you could find a better place to stay in Namba. Everything was close by, and getting around was very easy.
Also, the staff were extremely, extremely friendly, and we received fresh towels every day, which I really appreciated.
Now, onto the things that bothered me:
First, the cleanliness: It wasn’t really clean. In the showers, there was always a lot of hair and dirt in the gaps where you enter and exit, which was quite unpleasant.
During my stay, someone vomited in the public sink area, and it was not cleaned up overnight — it was still there even at 10 a.m. the next morning. Because of that, the house smelled strongly of vomit for a while.
That night, and in general, there was often an unpleasant smell in the kitchen area as well.
Without wanting to discriminate, I noticed that many older people were staying at the hostel (since apparently there was no age restriction). Some of them would loudly clear their throats and spit phlegm into the sinks, even early in the morning, which was quite disturbing and unhygienic.
Another issue was the temperature: The room was extremely hot at night, and since so many people were sleeping in one room, the air became very stuffy. Even inside your capsule, it was uncomfortably warm.
One last point: On the day of arrival, the address on Trip.com was wrong, which made it very hard to find the hostel. It took me almost an hour and a half to find it, especially because it was very hidden with no clear signage outside.
I really hope that in the future, there will also be an age limit for guests.

Great
GGuest UserThe location is excellent, the sleeping area is relatively okay, but you can still hear some noise from the hair dryer, so earplugs are a must. However, the capsule has an exhaust fan, which is particularly great. The shower area is a bit small, but there's a separate sink with a seat and partitions, and the mirror is very thoughtful—this is fantastic and very friendly for girls who need to do their makeup. The front desk staff are also very kind, and they offer luggage storage. I would definitely come again.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel is located right near Shinsaibashi, making it quite easy to find. The location is excellent, and the facilities are comprehensive. There's a laundry room on every floor, and the male and female floors are separate, requiring an elevator password for access, which adds to the safety.
GGuest UserThe hotel front desk staff were absolutely amazing! I was rushing to catch my flight and realized I'd lost my passport holder with my bank cards, cash, and passport inside. They found it for me, and when I went to pick it up, they enthusiastically said 'Congratulations!' and even gave me a fist bump. I'm incredibly grateful!
KKya014riI stayed here for work at the Osaka Expo.
It's only two stops from Yumeshima Station, and it's about a 5-minute walk from the station, so the location is great.
It's also a great place for people going to the Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan.
There are convenience stores around the station, and many restaurants, although they aren't open late.
However, the check-in process was a pain.
I checked in using a tablet, and I thought, ”Is this really what I get for the price?”
The walls are also thin.
The bathroom door shakes when you close it.
There is also no ventilation fan, so when I opened the bathroom door after a bath, the room was fogged up.
My room was by the window, so I could hear all the voices from outside.
There was no TV in the room.
There was individual Wi-Fi in the room.

Very Good
AAndrei SmirnovEverything is fine exept the thinnest and hardest pillow I've ever seen in my life. A bit old amenities add a touch of true charm to here. They speak a bit English.
The only unpleasant point was my communcation about the locker key I couldn't find in the morning. They immediately asked me to pay 7.000 yen as for lost item, not even suggesting to wait for it to be found by staff or guests, as I hadn't left the premises. Of course, the key was found by someone very soon.
