This is dormitory guesthouse with the price premium budget, stay with 22 other guests in one room. No towel or toothbrush provided. Easy to find the place, just around the corner of the Naha terminal bus. Had to carry luggage up to the 4th floor with narrow staircase. The single cubicle was hot and stuffy. You have to make your own bed. If you only looking for a night to sleep, it's fine but not advisable to stay here better chip in a bit more for better stay and more comfortable. An envelope was prepared with yoir name on it provided the door code number at the entrance. Unfortunately, my unlucky stay, I arrived at the hotel on 28th October passed midnight, I found that the bed 15 was already occupied. When I confronted the guest, he showed me his booking bed 15 as well. This caused significant inconvenience, as I had to squeeze myself with my partner in bed 16. Unable to arrange new bed as no answer from the the guesthouse. I tailor 2 adults but the bed was occupied by others. It was bad experience.
the place was very well located, the staff was super friendly, the coffee place is def a plus! The beds are not exactly bunk beds so if the person staying on top moves a lot, you won’t really feel it if you are staying at the bottom one, which is great. Something to take in consideration is that it gets really hot and u can’t really do much about it.
The first time I stayed at the Kitchen Hostel, I was a little nervous, but after checking in, it completely changed my perception of youth hostels! The password to enter the room will be changed every day!
The management here is very meticulous, from the separate storage of men and women in the refrigerator to the introduction of the quiet rules when entering the room area upon check-in, everything makes the entire stay very comfortable!
The environment is spacious, the bathroom and toilet are very clean! The facilities are very complete, providing disposable slippers, toiletries, and skin care products.
Downstairs is the restaurant, coffee bar and rest area. The breakfast is delicious. You can also bring your own items to eat here. Disposable chopsticks, cups, microwave ovens, etc. are provided!
The guests staying here are very well-mannered and the room is very quiet!
The waiter will clean the room every day. Self-service is also encouraged here. You need to make your bed or place the bedding in the designated bucket when checking in and out!
The County Hall Station is just two minutes away, making it very convenient to go anywhere!
After check-out, luggage can be stored, which is super warm! Everything is so comfortable, I will stay here again next time!
There was a guy who could speak Chinese, which was great, and we had basic communication problems!
It only takes one to ruin a stay, but this time two selfish neurotic old Chinese speaking women came into room very late at night making so much noise talking and messing with baggage. Upon mentioning disturbance one old woman got angry. That same woman continued to keep me up until 2.16am messing with zipped baggage in bed and dropping heavy objects on the wood above my bed. Total disregard that it was very late and I believe it to be done with deliberation as it was continued for hours after I complained. Then after check in an african woman let her boyfriend in the women's dorm and stand obstructing doorway talking and coming in room. That said african woman and boyfriend were sitting in women's only powder room for hours. Clearly not respecting boundaries yet no one said anything. African woman put all her stuff in my area of room, which I kept clear, and not near her own bed. A very annoying and disruptive night. Not the hostels fault. Usually everything is peaceful here
Nice hostel with a relaxed vibe. Inviting common areas. Rooms are functional, and meet all your basic needs.
Proximity to the ferry to Zamami makes it perfect for a good night's sleep before heading to the islands in the morning.
The hotel is located upstairs in a shopping street, lively yet not secluded. It's about a 10-minute walk (approximately 850 meters) from Makishi Monorail Station, allowing direct access to Kokusai Street and the bustling crowds of the shopping street, making the journey feel effortless. The hotel is mostly frequented by Japanese and international tourists from Tokyo, with a significant number of ********* guests. The lounge is predominantly in English, with Japanese people speaking Japanese. Since I only speak ********* Mandarin, I occasionally encounter ********* or Japanese people who speak Mandarin, and we can chat for a few minutes. There are many beds, but separate showers and toilets for men and women – definitely not enough. It's best to avoid peak hours, thankfully I was out shopping until 9 or 10 pm before returning. Saturdays are particularly crowded, making it even more difficult to find accommodation; you have to find your own way to manage. Overall, it's manageable, but the only problem is getting an upset stomach. The public restroom is about a four-minute walk away. I would definitely stay here again.
A cute hostel with vintage vibe. The staff is very nice and friendly. I was especially satisfied with the location because there’s a big supermarket and drug store right in front of the hostel. American Village is within walkable distance as well. Super convenient. Hair dryer, hair conditioner and laundry service are available. Overall I enjoyed the stay here.
Great location 2 minutes walk from the water. Great indoor and outdoor space for food and drinks. Also had local vendors items for sale inside the restaurant area. Comfy bed and plenty of space to put bags under the bed area. Usual amenities provided, also had towels to rent.
Would definitely recommend!
The host was welcoming and the entire guest house has a laid back atmosphere
Plenty of drinks and snacks available but no eating in the building , due to risk of ants - please have your food and drinks outside at the table area
Beautiful stars at Taketomi island at night if the skies are clear
Very Good

PP¡P€First time in a capsule hotel, and it was better than I expected! Super clean, friendly staff, and I loved the public bath (close for cleaning during 10 AM - 4 PM: hptel c/o | c/i time) Guests can grab coffee/tea in the lounge and there's 24/7 drinking water. They even have amenities like toothpaste, toothbrushes, and shaving kits at the front desk. Plus, they provide pajamas, so you can just bring your luggage for shopping and not worry about packing PJs. Overall, I'm really happy and would totally stay here again next time.
FYI: The private and deluxe rooms offer more privacy.
KKorè MaraThe owner of Ohana guesthouse is amazing! The kindest and most hospitable man i have met. Even though his english is not all that good he really listens with interest and tries to connect. He cooks every night and you're invited to join for a very low price. When we ate together (Hotpot) and everyone was speaking japanese he kept trying to include me in the conversation. When i left after two days he even waved goodbye from the stairs till i turned the corner.
The cabins were spacious and had a little fan and a mirror with a ledge inside, which is super nice! The toilets and showers were clean and nice and the little wash area was super cute and had everything you could want. the kitchen has everything you need to cook for yourself but for 200/400/800¥ you can join dinner so i didnt cook.
Hands down the coziest guesthouse i have been, massive reccomendations!

DDanglars3517Bad things:
- This place is quite far away from city, 12mins driving distance to closest convenience shop
- You must own a car to go there and the driving way to there are nearly no street light, very dark
- The room quite small, it is nearly not possible to live for two people
- Some inserts appear at night but really so clean inside the room, you just have to close your room door asap whenever you open at night
Good things:
- All the things are super new and clean
- Quiet, and it is super comfortable to live in the forest with good facilities
- Cozy bed, strong water and electricity supply
Overall:
I think this is a good place to stay if you do not mind to drive in a dark night. And super recommend someone who wanna taste living in forest with urban city living style (can charge your phone, watch tablet and take a good shower)
HHello_tripOnly the best impressions from staying in a hostel. How to visit a Japanese house with good hosts. 💖 You need to follow the rules so that everyone is clean and comfortable: sort the garbage, do not enter the house in shoes, it's easy. In a separate fenced room there is air conditioning, a clothes hanger, a futon, a pillow and a light blanket, that's enough. There is a shared refrigerator, you can fry toast, shower and toilet separately for men and women. There is a good store next to the hostel, a place for snorkeling, you can buy coffee. From the airport you can get there by bus 7 or with a transfer first by bus 9, then bus 7. If I can, I will come again!❤️
SSara.KIf you check in late (after 9pm) They don’t let you stay even already paid in advance.
So, I did. We have to find another hotel instead. But staff was nice to suggest another hotel.
