Opened in 2023, the Tiancheng International Youth Hostel (Kuqa) offers travelers a pleasant stay in Kuqa, whether for business or leisure purposes. The hotel is conveniently located just 4km from Kuqa Railway Station and 15km from Kuqa Qiuci Airport. With multiple attractions nearby including Western Regions Protectorate, Kuqa Alley and Kuqa Pedestrian Street, guests will find plenty to keep themselves occupied. When guests have some time on their hands they can make use of the onsite facilities. This Kuqa hotel features parking on site. According to our guests, this hotel provides a very high level of service. This hotel is particularly popular with those traveling alone.

"Service: It was about noon when we arrived and the temperature in Kuqa was about 30 degrees. As soon as we went through the formalities at the store, the front desk asked if we wanted to eat melon. The employees were very enthusiastic and organized games to relax, which made me feel relaxed. Environment: The environment is also very unexpected. It is clean and tidy and matches the blue sky of Kuqa. The air conditioner in the room was fully on, it was very cool, and the mattress was very comfortable. I also met travelers with the same ambitions in the store. It is true as the lady said, this is not only a place to stay but also a place to meet beautiful people and things. Just one word, absolutely!"

GGuest UserExcellent service and a very clean, spacious room with comfortable bedding. The location is fantastic, right at the entrance of the ancient city. Popular spots like the century-old teahouse, Id Kah Mosque, Rainbow Alley, Buidai Alley, 'Grandpa's Grandpa's Father's Nang' (a famous naan shop), and Oil Painting Street are all just a stone's throw from Guilai Inn. There are plenty of local eateries downstairs, making dining very convenient. The owner is very welcoming, and the soundproofing in the rooms is excellent. The night views are beautiful and captivating. Plus, there are bus stops nearby for easy access to the airport and train station. It was a pleasant trip and I highly recommend it; you definitely won't regret staying at this inn.

GGuest UserHostel is about 5 - 7 minutes away from the ”Sports Centre” metro station, which is about 25+ minutes from the airport. The hostel entrance is next to the Tesla shop, and you have to press the buzzer, for the security guard to open the gate for you. Then, after writing your name down in the guest-book, you go up to the 10th floor in the lift. (Check the other reviews here, for a picture of the gate/door to the building) The staff speak little to no English, but they are very helpful. They will try to solve your issues, as long as you patient with the translation software. Also, it is difficult for staff to check you in, if you do not have a contact number or Alipay/Wechat contact. (This is a CN Govt requirement) The dorm rooms are basic and you may get the city views. There are no privacy curtains and there was no air-con, in my one. The hostel staff can provide fans, but we did not need any, as it was still cool at night. The beds are OK. There is a bathroom in the dorm room too, but there was almost no privacy for the bathroom, as there was a gap between the door for others to see and you can see through the frosted glass into the bathroom too! The hostel is relatively clean, quiet and well-located, except there may be other local guests, who are loud and smoke sometimes in the other rooms. Next to the hostel is a nice up-market shopping centre and with really lots to eat, in the food-court on the 3rd floor.

GGuest UserIt's 2 AM, and I can't sleep after writing this review in the courtyard, so I just got up and sat here. The night in Liuxing Street is so quiet, with only occasional dog barks and distant lights. The moon hangs above the apple tree. I've stayed at this hostel for three days and will be leaving tomorrow. There are some things I want to write down before I forget. First, let's talk about hygiene. I have a peculiar habit: the first thing I do when entering a room is to feel the tabletop and windowsill. And truly, it was spotless. The floor is wood-grain tile, and walking barefoot on it felt perfectly clean. The bedding was freshly changed and smelled warm, like it had been sun-dried. There wasn't a single hair on the public restroom floor, and the trash cans weren't emptied only when overflowing. What touched me most was that the cups in the wash area were placed upside down in a sterilizer cabinet, for guests to use. Yes, a sterilizer cabinet. Location: It's in an alley in Liuxing Street, but very easy to find. Turn right out of the door, and a small alley leads directly to the main street. To the left is an old residential area, perfect for aimless wandering. It's about seven or eight minutes' walk to the Alexander Accordion Museum and also to the famous ice cream shop. If you, like me, enjoy walking and exploring small alleys, this place is a paradise. There are three bus stops nearby, making it convenient to go to Kaxgar and Hanren Street. Service: The front desk staff was a girl with a ponytail, and her voice was soft. It was drizzling when I arrived on the first day, and she handed me a dry towel to wipe my hair. When I came back late at night, I found a message on the small blackboard at the entrance: 'There's yogurt in the fridge, help yourself.' I thought it was for a fee, but when I asked the next day, she smiled and said, 'It's free, we worry you might get overheated in this weather.' When I left, I forgot my power bank, and she chased me down two alleys. Facilities: The beds are incredibly stable; the bunk beds don't wobble. Each bunk has a curtain, a light, two power outlets, and a small shelf, perfect for a phone and glasses. The common area has a water dispenser (with both hot and cold water), a microwave, a refrigerator, and a toaster. There's also a washing machine that can be used by scanning a QR code. The most pleasant surprise was a small bookshelf with not many books, but a few picture books about Ali, which made me want to visit Mount Kailash as I flipped through them. Atmosphere: Unlike some hostels that deliberately force social interaction, the atmosphere here is very natural. In the evening, someone played the Dombra in the courtyard, while others just listened quietly. There was an older gentleman who had just returned from a pilgrimage, his feet still swollen, sitting on the steps drinking sweet tea, and no one disturbed him. Occasionally, people would strike up a conversation, also in soft voices. I'm sitting in the courtyard now, and the evening breeze is a little cool. The moon is bright, and I can see the shadows of the clouds. I'll probably feel a bit reluctant to leave tomorrow. But it's okay; I know I'll be back. The night of Liuxing Street, the dream of Mount Kailash, and the gentleness of this little courtyard all remind me why I'm always on the road.

GGuest UserA beautiful little courtyard tucked away in the old town, full of local charm and character. The front desk lady was super friendly and gave us a warm introduction. The room was really clean and tidy (oops, forgot to snap some photos!). The owner also has a very lively dog! Since it's an all-female stay, there were no safety concerns at all. We even saw some neighborhood cats wandering into the courtyard occasionally. Overall, a fantastic place to stay, highly recommend!

GGuest UserCame to Kashgar with friends on motorcycles and stayed at 'Guren Gui' – best decision ever! The landlady is an amazing cook, and you can join in for shared meals. Parking is super easy right outside the courtyard. Plus, there are mulberries and figs you can pick freely. There were also a lot of foreigners here, and chatting with them was really fun. The hostel common area is huge and super comfy on the first floor, not hot at all, and you can even sing and dance together.

KKatey88Good hostel, very social for chinese youth. They have nice common areas with pool, ping pong and lot of tables and seats. Beds are huge and comfy, very nice! People do stay up late so maybe don't expect a very quiet environment if you are a light sleeper. But location is close to railways station and walkable to many small stores and also a bigger supermaket. The area is beautiful, very nice for sunset and the terrace is huge and you can wash your clothes and just chill there on the top. The washing machine I think it is reserved only for the hostel, but it's ok. The staff was nice, especially the young boy who spoke good english and he was super helpful, patient. The inly thing I did not appreciate was the fact that you had to put on your bedsheets, I mean this is quite common in china, but for the price I think I should not be requiered to do this. Wifi was strong on all the floors exept the terrace and toiletries were provided. Showers were plenty, clean and nice with hit water. All in all it was a very positive experience.

GGuest UserFive stars, highly recommended! This hostel is an absolute gem for solo travelers. The location is superb, very close to the subway station, with plenty of restaurants and attractions nearby, making it incredibly convenient for getting around and shopping. The overall cleanliness exceeded my expectations. The rooms, bathrooms, and common areas are cleaned daily, and there's no unpleasant smell. Each bed comes with a blackout curtain, charging socket, and a locker, offering great privacy. The mattress is soft, and the environment is quiet at night, ensuring a high-quality rest. The owner and front desk staff are warm and thoughtful; they share local tour routes and food recommendations, which is incredibly helpful for planning your trip. The common area has a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, perfect for chatting and connecting with backpackers from all over. If you prefer not to socialize, you can also quietly enjoy your own company – it's super chill. The price is affordable, offering excellent value for money. It's clean and safe, making it ideal for students and backpackers. This will be my top choice when visiting this area, and I'll definitely stay here again!

GGuest UserThe room was spotless and was cleaned daily during my three-day stay. The owner has an amazing personality and patiently answered all my questions about local travel tips, which I really appreciated 🙏. The hostel has a fantastic vibe; everyone was making plans to explore together, watching movies, singing, playing games, and those who were good at cooking even prepared meals – just remember to clean up afterwards! I had a truly wonderful and comfortable stay, it was definitely a highlight of my Xinjiang trip.

FFiZhangHuake was previously a hotel converted into an international youth hostel. We booked a twin-bed room for one night. There is a Uyghur girl who spoke impecable Mandarin with a tad bit of Beijing ascent at the front desk when we arrived. The check-in was speedy. The room was spacious and clean so were the bedding (no foul smell). The uniqueness about this hostel is, it does not provide bath towels and toilet papers. Instead, guests are given one-use towels and a pack of tissue papers which we double up as toilet papers. Initially, I thought the one-use towels (place on a try in the room) were bathing soap because they were in compressed form so I went to ask the Uyghur girl for towls and she told me those are actually compressed one-use towels. There are restaurants and minimarts next to the hostel and a night food street nearby (approx 200-300m by foot). No a bad choice if you need a layover or a couple of days stay to explore Kuqa.

AAnonymous UserI stayed at this guesthouse for the entire 10-day trip to Kashgar, and the experience was absolutely fantastic – it was exactly what I dreamed of! Located right in Kashgar Old City, it's incredibly convenient for exploring the city, and the price is great. It's perfect for couples, groups of friends, or solo travelers. The room style was absolutely amazing, especially the Fig Tree Canopy Tea Villa room, which exudes a rich French romantic atmosphere. Every photo you take here is a masterpiece, and I felt completely soothed every day. The biggest surprise was the owners – they were incredibly nice, sincere, and welcoming. The owner's cooking was also super delicious, making me feel so warm and cared for. Throughout my stay, the service, environment, and comfort were impeccable. The rooms were comfortable, with attention to detail, and the overall atmosphere was chill and relaxing – truly a hidden gem for any Kashgar traveler. If you're visiting Kashgar, go for this guesthouse – you won't be disappointed! (By the way, it's also a filming location for the movie ”Kashgar Love Song”!)
