Great hostel in a central location, with metro nearby too. Amazing food streets nearby! Really loved the free dumpling making class and bar with loads of craft beers. Our private room was small but nice. Rooftop too! And cheap laundry. Plus loads of information about things to do and tours in Chengdu which is super helpful. English speaking reception.

The best stay experience ever! I was pleasantly surprised by the high-quality wood used throughout the room – both the walls and floors were wooden. The decor was simple, unique, and stylish. I also really loved the small courtyard; when the sun was out, I'd lie on the lounge chair outside my room, soaking up the sun and watching the light filter through the leaves. It was a small, enjoyable pastime. I absolutely adored the common areas. I initially chose this hostel primarily for its communal spaces. Since I didn't have many travel plans for this vacation, having such a spacious yet intimate common area was wonderful. I could flip through a book, study a bit, drink some tea, or chat with fellow travelers from all over. Even just watching people come and go felt warm and interesting. The atmosphere really captivated me. In just a few short days, it felt a little like home, like my own little base in this area. The vibe among everyone was great, and I think I'll remember it. It was beautiful and genuine, somewhat aligning with my vision of the world and human co-existence. The brothers and elementary school student I played ping-pong with, the friends from around the world who made dumplings and watched the Spring Festival Gala, the incredibly talented and beautiful young woman with pink bangs, the American guy who was fascinated by Chinese tech companies, my San Francisco friend learning Chinese, the young-at-heart gentleman who transitioned from finance to Traditional Chinese Medicine, the textile designer from around the world studying art… The encounters were brief and wonderful. It was a fleeting glimpse into a corner of the world, a peek into a brushstroke of your life's canvas. I feel happy and honored. I loved the space and the flow of the design. Hope to see you again!

Fabulous hostel, i loved it. All wood made, this place offers all a backpacker may need (various cleaning soaps, loudry, drinking hot water, board games ,etc.). Super clean, the dorm is large with window. Plagues and bed light. No heating but an electric planket keeps dreams warm and cozy. Running hot water. Amazing common spaces inside and outside with breathtaking view on the surrounding of Kangding. The host, very gentle and friendly, speaks good english and has two cute and fun cats. My staying there was too short but very pleasant.

An incredibly satisfying experience! **Amenities**: It's a shared bathroom, but it has individual stalls and comes with shower gel and shampoo. You'll need to bring your own toothbrush, toothpaste, and cup. **Cleanliness**: Very clean; it's tidied daily, and the common areas are also spotless with no cigarette smell. **Environment**: Men and women are housed on separate floors. It's located near Taikoo Li and Chunxi Road, making transportation convenient. There's also a Mixue Ice Cream & Tea flagship store nearby. **Service**: Attentive, and they even host activities on the rooftop.

So cozy! Right by Qionghai Lake, at the foot of Lushan Mountain. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Xichang. You can cook your own meals for just 10 yuan per use, and the microwave and washing machine are free to use. There's also a pool table and a drying platform.

The facilities are quite comprehensive, and it offers great value for money. There's a common area on the second floor where you can meet other travelers, so overall, I was pretty satisfied with my stay. However, during my several-day stay, the staff didn't inform me that I could get a free bottle of water daily. When I asked about it later, after being there for three days, the staff member was reluctant to give me what was rightfully mine—just one bottle of water. That was completely unnecessary and quite a mood killer. Their service awareness definitely needs improvement.

So comfortable! This is the perfect choice for a relaxing holiday. The bedding is incredibly cozy – my back and neck, which usually bother me due to herniated discs and a straightened cervical spine, felt amazing. If the kitchenette could offer breakfast sometime soon, it would be even better. I wouldn't have to fuss with ordering on my phone early in the morning; I could just wander over to the counter, eat while half-asleep, then go back to bed. Afterwards, I could head out in the afternoon once it cools down, or just stay in – either way, it's pure bliss, hahaha.

Extremely satisfied!! **Facilities:** They have both squat and Western-style toilets, a separate shower room, and even a dedicated vanity area for women! They provide curling irons, straighteners, combs, hair clips, and hair ties. You can ask the front desk for earplugs, disposable towels, and toothbrushes. There's also a laundry room and a separate area for drying clothes. **Cleanliness:** Exceptionally clean. They clean daily, and I even saw them cleaning the top of the cabinets when I returned in the afternoon! The washing machines are also cleaned by staff. Beyond the common areas, you need to change into slippers (disinfected ones) to enter other sections, which are very clean. Luggage also needs to be placed in designated spots. **Service:** The first time I checked in, the staff member gave me a full tour and showed me to my bed. She was incredibly gentle and kind! **Environment:** The environment is excellent. I absolutely love the blue and white decor throughout! The beds are very comfortable, and male and female dorms are separate. Lights out is at 11 PM, and everyone is very quiet! There are small lights by the beds, and you can stay in the common areas, so night owls and early sleepers don't disturb each other at all. **Location:** The location is also great. The nearest subway station is just over 700 meters away, and it's only about 1 km from Chunxi Road, making it very convenient to get around.

XXingzoulvshuiqingshanStaying at the Sunderia Hostel was an amazing experience! It's right next to Wenshu Monastery, so you can walk to the ancient temple, and it's also close to the subway, making it super convenient to get to Chunxi Road and Kuanzhai Alley. There are tons of local eateries nearby, and the staff were really enthusiastic about showing us where to find good food. Our room was cleaned daily, the bedding was soft, and the private bathroom had a great wet/dry separation. Downstairs, the common area offers free coffee during the day and turns into a cozy bar with live music at night. Travelers from all over the world gather there to chat and share their travel stories. It's such a warm and welcoming atmosphere, truly a top choice for accommodation in Chengdu!

GGuest UserThe environment is okay, but there were mosquitoes at night. I got bitten all night and didn't sleep well. Also, people kept entering the room at night, and it was really hot. The bathroom smelled of smoke. On the upside, there are plenty of food options nearby, so dining is very convenient.

QQ.tuDuring my trip to Chengdu, I chose to stay at the Starry Sky Shuttle Hotel (Backpacker Hostel), and I had a fantastic overall experience that left a deep impression on me. For backpackers, a hostel that feels safe, has a clean environment, and a comfortable atmosphere is truly important, and this one perfectly met my expectations. Upon arriving, the first impression of the overall environment was that it was clean and bright, without the usual cluttered or noisy feeling of traditional backpacker hostels. The common areas were very inviting, with spaces for relaxing, chatting, using phones, and planning itineraries. The overall atmosphere was relaxed and friendly, making it easy to socialize with travelers from all over. The front desk staff were exceptionally helpful. Check-in was efficient, and their explanations were patient. They proactively introduced the hostel's facilities and even shared local Chengdu transportation routes, recommended attractions, and nearby food information. This was incredibly thoughtful for first-time visitors to Chengdu or solo travelers, immediately putting one at ease. I was very satisfied with the cleanliness of the accommodation area and the bunk beds. The bedding was clean and tidy, the mattress firmness was just right, and it was very quiet at night, leading to good quality sleep. Each bunk came with a power outlet, reading light, and storage space, which was a thoughtful design, offering both convenience and a degree of privacy – I didn't feel uncomfortable staying there at all. The public restrooms and shower rooms were also kept very clean. Hot water supply was stable and water pressure was good, making them comfortable to use at any time of day, and there were plenty of them, so queuing was rarely an issue – a real bonus for a backpacker hostel. The hostel's location was also very convenient, with complete surrounding amenities including many restaurants, snack stalls, and convenience stores. Getting around and finding food was hassle-free, and it was easy to reach major Chengdu attractions or public transport, making it ideal for backpackers and independent travelers. Overall, the Starry Sky Shuttle Hotel (Backpacker Hostel) excels in cleanliness, service, and the overall living experience. It's a charming, high-value backpacker hostel. Whether you're traveling solo, with companions, or looking to meet new friends, I highly recommend staying here. I will definitely choose this place again on my next visit to Chengdu and will recommend it to my friends.

GGuest UserI stayed at Chengdu XiangPi Inn for one night (April 14–15, 2026) and booked a bed in the 6-person male-only shared room. Overall, it was a solid budget-friendly option, but there are a few things worth noting depending on what you’re looking for. The biggest plus is definitely the price—you get exactly what you pay for, and for a short stay it does the job. The room itself was fairly basic but functional. The bed was decent enough for one night, and the space didn’t feel overly cramped despite having multiple occupants. That said, privacy is minimal, as expected in a shared dorm setup. Cleanliness was okay, though not perfect. The shared bathroom was usable but could have been maintained a bit better, especially during busier hours. If you’re particular about hygiene, this is something to keep in mind. The atmosphere was quiet enough when I stayed, and most guests were respectful, which made it easier to rest. Staff interactions were limited but smooth—check-in and check-out were straightforward without any issues. Overall, Chengdu XiangPi Inn is a practical choice if you’re traveling on a tight budget and just need a place to sleep for a night or two. It’s not luxurious, but it’s functional and reasonably comfortable for short stays.

AAnonymous UserThe emplacement is rather nice, it's in a narrow street that allows for a more peaceful environment. If you want to call taxis though, they won't get in, you will have to walk to the bigger road (very close by) To get to the reception, you will have to climb stairs. If you get a room with shared toilets, just be sure you can handle squat toilets. The walls are rather thin but earplugs are being provided. The shared shower area only has heads that can't be moved from the wall. The shared room has thin mattresses, if you can't handle it, I would recommend a private room instead. If the room is full of luggage, it's possible to put some under the bed.

DD E D EThis hostel provides everything to make your stay enjoyable. With full facilities like towels, toiletries, free water, boardgames, a big common area, an outdoor garden - a patio with nice scenery, a semi bar, a quiet area for reading and studying also a big bonus, and more. The location is also a few steps from a bus stop and tucked inside a parking area, so you will not hear the noisy street. Too bad, few of my roommates ( local chinese, maybe students ? ) cant keep the room clean and organized with their stuff cluttered and make the room a little bit messy. However the whole area is clean and the staffs also friendly With a very affordable rate, this hostel is a winner
