Hostels in Qinghai, China

Sheng 45 Is located a 25 minute walk from city attractions and a 15+ minute taxi ride to the train and bus stations. Around 8am and 5pm, traffic is terrible because of parents picking up their kids at the nearby school. The Good The best part was the social experience. A couple volunteers were very friendly. They played games and watched movies with us in the communal area on the ground floor. It is a great place to meet people. The Bad While the dorm bed and room were comfortable, there were significant issues elsewhere. The door to the room made loud noises whenever entering and exiting that disturbed sleep. Someone kept the door to the roof outside open, permitting the toxic stench from the nearby auto shop inside as well as street noise and humidity. There was only one functioning squat toilet on the third floor in a dirty bathroom with little privacy—one of the doors wouldn’t close.

Nice room with view from neighborhood. It's 30min walk from downtown but there are plenty of restaurants and markets nearby. I was the only guest during the 4 nights I was there, so not much of an atmosphere despite the nice social areas. The heating system (underfloor) works only in the night so it's a bit chill during the day. There are hot showers and possibly of doing laundry (10yuan a load).

The hostel is fancy and staff so nice. The bed is soft and clean, but toilet a little smell of urine. The room is big and comfortable with a sofa, a desk to work or read book. Good place to meet up new people

Excellent hostel! Enthusiastic and friendly young owners who welcomed me with social activities and evening hotpot. The location is excellent, 15 minutes walk between train and bus stations and the mosques. Easy access by bus to Kumbum monastery. Showers are hot and there was a washing machine but I didn't use this. Minor drawbacks: it's a cold hostel so you need to wear layers inside, and the cleanliness is only average. Overall, it's a really good budget hostel and I'd stay again for sure.

Everyone I met was strange. But I really like you guys, you ***. **Always seems to fall ill in winter. If we can never understand worldly happiness, let's jump into the sea with friends before spring arrives, and briefly enjoy a few days of carefree bliss. After a long night of talking, I realized that not every life needs to be lived perfectly. I slept less than five hours in three days because I couldn't bear to miss any interesting souls or touching stories. This time, I want to openly share and record my feelings; I no longer want to, and will not, cautiously cultivate happiness and carefree living. Today I leave Xining, sitting on the swaying train to Golmud, exhausted. I don't know what kind of magical journey the Hoh Xil will hold after dawn, but as I write this, carefully organizing the stories that happened in Qingting, I feel the fear in my heart gradually receding. Seeing the drying sheets change for each guest, the public wash area and toilet are clean, the location can be called downstairs very good, the neighborhood is a residential area breakfast shop and fruit stalls are very good. but! ! Why is the bathroom and toilet so dark? Understand that there is no natural light but the lights are in place. The photo is taken during the day. At night, the psychological pressure is even greater. I am not afraid of gloomy things, but I wash and go to the toilet at night.
