"Had an amazing stay at Hang Gai International Youth Hostel! Three of us stayed and the hostel itself was just what you need - comfy bed, hot water and in a great location to explore the city (you can get subway, taxi or cycle/ebike pretty much everywhere). But what made the stay so good was Hanggai and the amazing trip we went on to the grasslands. Hanggai is a fantastic hostel, very friendly and welcoming, and we spent an evening at his place a few hours drive for the hostel; as you can see by the photos it was a beautiful location and super quiet. Would definitely recommend! Thanks again Hanggai, we had a great time! 😊"

Outstanding
JJ NoThis is a really nice hostel. It's very clean and conveniently located. The owner is very nice as well and easy to contact on WeChat. There's a laundry machine for free use, a clothes hanging area, good quality blow dryer, amenities in the shower, couch area, kitchen and microwave (I'm not sure if there's a mini stove but maybe you can plug in a rice cooker or hot plate). The building has an elevator, but you need to first walk up about 1 small half flight of stairs to access the elevator (be careful if you have a heavy luggage, but there is a security guard man who maybe can help you, I didn't ask). And the room is very clean, bed is comfortable, linens are clean, plugs work work and there's a nice big window in the 8-person female women dorm room overlooking a lake. I didn't have the most social time here with other guests, but it's okay because I think it always depends on who lives here that creates the energy. It's a nice, quiet, and very affordable place you can stay for a long time or a short time. Would come back again if I'm in Hohhot!

AAndrew PulestonA welcome sight in an unfamiliar place. Not too hard to find. One of only a handful of accomodations in this large, town ”under development” Though we had some communications challenges that was solved by thw first front desk reception lady using the weixin translation app. She kindly directed me to the best restaurant in town for lunch - by taxi, as there are few fanguan nearby. Convenient 6 minute walk to the train station through the underpass.
A taxi can be arranged to go the single major local tourism site - Kehan (khan) Shan. It is only partly in operation, but the surroundings are inspiring
Accessories in room were completely adequate and clean. I expected to be on second floor, but not. Some noise and cigarette smoke carried through the corridor, but this happens.
There may be larger binguans in Holingol, this was fine for me. Excellent value for the price.

RRravlWith such a price they still give free toothbrush, toothpaste, shaver and slipper. There is free washing machine. The onky problem is the toilet is not smooth sometimes. Everything is excellent except. The big city park is in walking distance, as shown in the photo.

WWangxin(diweizhenkong)There is free airport transfer service. If you don't want to be picky when you're out, just get as much sleep as possible. The boss's service is good. There was no towel in the room and someone was sent to deliver it in 5 minutes. There is a restaurant at the door.

KK Hoffman (Canada)Excellent location. Take the airport bus to Chunxi Road and then take the Metro from Chunxi Rd Station to just one stop away Xinnamen Station. Make sure you come out at the right exit. You can see the hostel as you come out.
The room is spacious! There is a roof garden and a nice lounge area.
P.S. Google map does not work in China. Download MAPS.ME. Also download Wechat - you text in English they translate to Chinese and vice versa.

Excellent
GGuest UserI had an excellent stay at this hotel. The room decor was beautifully designed with great attention to detail, creating a warm and inviting environment. The overall atmosphere was quiet and relaxing, making it a very comfortable experience.
Upon check-in, I received a free room upgrade, which was a pleasant surprise and much appreciated.
Note for foreign travelers: Due to the hotel’s proximity to the border, all foreign guests are required to register at the local police station before checking in. This appears to be a standard procedure for all hotels in the area.
Overall, highly recommended for a comfortable and hassle-free stay.
AAilvxingdeleleI traveled on a budget and came to Ergun. I saw the Ergun Wetland and stayed in an extremely comfortable youth hostel. I love it here.
The aunt at the front desk is also very nice. She greets me every time and asks me to walk along the road in front of the bus station to see the wetlands and people swimming in winter.
I will recall this trip countless times. It is better to travel when you are rich than when you are young.
GGuest UserThe entire northern route's cultural landscape seems to be condensed in Enhe Ranch. The room windows depict the Ha'er River, birch forests, pastures, Wolong Mountain, and the Milky Way, and often feature the daily lives of various animals. You frequently hear ”tap, tap, tap” and ”thump, thump, thump” footsteps, which you might mistake for children running around, but are actually adorable chicks and sheep. Slow down, relax; everything here can slow down. Get to know the people gradually. There's no need to rush to be enthusiastic or get to know them. Feeling safe and comfortable in nature's embrace naturally opens your heart, allowing you to feel the warmth and belonging of home. Thank you to everyone I met in Enhe and Enhe. I think I understand why some friends return here every year. Grateful! This is a wonderful hotel that cherishes nature, culture, and every visitor.
GGuest UserThis stay was fantastic! The front desk service was friendly and attentive, check-in was quick, the room was clean and tidy, the bedding was comfortable, and all the amenities were new. However, it would have been much better if the room had a chair, which would have been much more convenient for working or relaxing. I look forward to staying here again.
