This is the best traveler accommodation you can find in Zhangye. Rooms and dorms are sparkling clean, and so are the common toilets, cleaned several times daily as I observed. The showers are on the upper floors, and this could be really the only drawback if one comes when it's cold. Otherwise, the atmosphere is great - plenty of Chinese and international travelers to share evenings and meals, and they organize affordable tours to the Danxia scenic area and also Mati si and Jingta temples. We took one and were very happy with the driver and the service and made the best out of our day in Zhangye. Book without exitation!

The beds are clean and comfortable, the public bathroom is outside the room, and the entire corridor is full of hostel rooms. It feels like I'm back in a school dormitory. The roommates I met are also very nice. We chatted, ate fruit, and washed clothes together, which was inexplicably fun. The warm feeling of quiet time. . Grandma is very nice and enthusiastic. There is a free large parking lot outside for convenient parking. The location is very good. You can walk to the night market, museums, the Big Buddha Temple, and the popular Malatang restaurants.

Pros. It is one subway stop from Lanzhou West Station. It is close. There are night markets, clothing stores, and shopping centers nearby. There are Lanzhou Wukong noodles, etc., so you can eat cheaply. There is a supermarket nearby. It is easy to get to other places by bus and subway. The rooms are non-smoking. There is a water purifier. It is good to eat and rest in the common area. There is a space to dry your laundry. Cons. They smoke in the common area. This is a pro if you are a smoker. It was hard to find the entrance. I walked around the building. Please take a good look at the pictures I uploaded. Other information The Lanzhou Xingu Bus does not accept Alipay for foreigners. You can only board with cash. Prepare cash. 2 yuan. If you go one block east, there is a night market. There is a shopping center with Uniqlo. Laundry is 5 yuan. The laundry dries quickly. If you want a place close to Lanzhou West Station, this is a good choice.

Amazing hospitable staff and owner! Live music performance daily. Great hostel environment! When taking the guestroom - single occupant you get a whole room for yourself (small, but your own). Not the normal hostel style and basically it is like a hotel room. Just a bit smaller and shared bathroom / showers. Truly a hidden gem (see the entrance photo). Not to forget, great location! Right next to the Yellow River Bridge! Ans next to Xiguan metro, just a few stops from West Railway on line 1, which is perfect if coming from the airport.
