The shared shower room is *too* shared, meaning there's nowhere to put your personal toiletries. A simple breakfast is provided in the morning, which is nice. I liked that the beds have curtains. It's great that shower towels are provided for free. There's a 24-hour convenience store right out front. However, there are homeless people around 24/7 next to it... It's unnerving when they all stare at me at once... I felt scared both day and night. Some homeless individuals stand by the convenience store door, holding it open, then demand money after opening it for you. I know how to open a door myself, and I never asked them to open it for me... I was sharing a room with someone from a country known for poor hygiene, and they had a strong, unpleasant body odor. It was truly agonizing. My request to switch rooms was not processed, apparently because there were no other rooms available.

It was perfect the way I wanted. Additional Air Shuttle Bus as Free Service in every 30 minits was so impressive one.

Overall, this was a nice little place to stay. You can tell it's an older facility, but seems to be fairly well maintained. Pretty clean overall, though the floors were a bit sticky. The setup of our rooms was nice as well. I'd probably stay again if I were ever in the area.

Surprisingly Great Stay! Unique and Comfortable I really enjoyed my stay at the Saintlo Ottawa Jail Hostel. The room was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. The atmosphere is unique and definitely something you don’t experience at a regular hotel — in a good way! The staff were friendly, the place felt safe, and the location was convenient for getting around Ottawa. Overall, it was a great stay and I would happily come back again. Highly recommend

The hotel is in a prime location with convenient transportation. Restaurants and shopping are all nearby. The room is quiet, well-equipped, and the internet is fast, making it very easy to work. The front desk is efficient in checking in and out, saving a lot of time. It's very suitable for business trips.

The room is not big, and it is more difficult to open the big suitcase on the floor. There is a bathtub in the bathroom. It can be praised that the bath water is very sufficient, which is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. A beer is delicious when you check in, and whiskey is also available. Breakfast is included in the accommodation fee and needs to be pre-selected in advance, one per person. The hotel is not big, it is estimated that there are six rooms. Lunch and dinner can be used in the hotel, the price is moderate compared to the surrounding. Compared with the Chinese food mentioned on the Internet, I think it is more suitable here. Especially good steak, 200 grams steak with side dishes 39 yuan. Stayed here for two days, and there are not many places to eat around.

Arrived late at night, check-in was quick and easy, the room was clean, and got everything we needed. Kids love the swimming pool. Breakfast was good, staffs are very nice and helpful. A/C was loud, but our kids were able to sleep through it, so it was not a big issue. Overall, a friendly, simple accommodation , we were happy with our stay.

Our room wasn't ready for us so had to wait. Eventually gave us a different room which smelled like burnt plastic when the air turned on. Especially the heat. Faded..but the kids kept complaining about something ”smelly”. Not sure if we would stay here again but it wasn't too bad since it was close to groceries and restaurants.

Considering it's a hostel, the bed creaked every time I moved, which made me feel a bit self-conscious. It was a blizzard that day, and the staff were wonderful for letting me stay even before check-in. Aside from the outdated facilities, it seems like a good place for a short stay.
