My review may be different from other's experience, but I got a room that fits on the option that I payed for. As I am not a picky traveller, I was okay that I got single room with private bathroom. If you are a traveller who walks a lot and takes transportation and woman, you may want to be little bit careful as surroundings are houses and dark at night time. Streetcars and the nearest subway are not that far (streetcars: about 5 mins / subway: 10 mins). At dawn, if you want to buy something, you need to go to convenience store which is about 15-20 mins away. If you are nighttime traveller and active at nighttime, you may want to choose different place. Otherwise, I think this is a budget-matching place to take a sleep. My room didn't have hair dryer, so be aware of this lol. Beside some parts, I was okay with staying here. Refrigerator and microwave was there so I had some latenight meal, so this was good. During summer, this is going to be little harsh as it didn't have air conditioner (or the ventilator may give you a cool air during summer; I had hot air as I travelled in winter).

We arrived late in the evening and was greeted by the night reception. There are many ample parking and we entered from the back of the hotel. The hotel is huge and fronting a river. Our room is facing the river and we discovered an amazing view from the balcony of our room. Although the hotel is outdated but it is clean and comfortable. The hotel location is a good 40min drive south of Ottawa Premium outlet and a good stop over for Toronto destination.
Econo Lodge by the Falls

If you are looking to stay in a decently priced clean property that is perfectly located, Econo Lodge is it. I haven't been back to Niagara Falls and stayed here since 2019. It was the long weekend and I was attending the Diana Ross concert at Fallsview ****** Resort. All hotels were pricey at over $250 a night unless you stayed at a motel way uo Lundys Lane. I got the Econo Lodge for $160. I could walk everywhere being at the top of Clifton Hill, and lots of food choices nearby. Rooms are large and clean. Beds are comfy and I had a room with a balcony. So it was nice to sit out there late night having drinks and have a coffee in the morning. The shower has awesome water pressure. Only downfall is no mini fridge or microwave. But you can get a nice medium sized bag of ice for no charge at the front desk. Staff are great, very nice and friendly.. John is a really great guy. I will stay again when attending another concert.

Was what I expected, a dorm style room with hard beds. Not complaining for the price we paid. A little cool in our basement room until we figured to block the gap in the door with a towel. Location was very convenient as I had an event at York U. Fairly quiet. Would have been nice to have a microwave in the room. Overall 4 out of 5 rating.

Wonderful home environment in a peaceful neighborhood. Easy to access. Breakfast lovely. Nice break after busy city daytime activities. Fabulous hosts! Looking forward to returning in warm weather to take advantage of all the outdoor amenities.
Quiet Room Around York University Subway

Very nice host. I was for most part the only guest and therefore very good value for the price I paid. The room was small but good and I could get a good rest for my conference visit in downtown Toronto. Walk to Subway less than 10 minutes
1000 Islands B&B – the Bulloch House
4.6/5101 Reviews
The Bullock House has a great location within easy walking distance of downtown Gananoque. We stayed in the Gananoque Room. It is an older house and hasn't been well maintained. Just because a room is filled with ”antiques” doesn't mean the room has to be worn out. Breakfast was ok, but nothing great. Blue oatmeal that was cooked in coconut oil was overly sweet and lacked the earthy simplicity of good oatmeal. The french toast was also overly sweet. We had an enjoyable conversation with the other guests during breakfast. Owner was generally pleasant, but we got a slight scolding for bring coffee downstairs in the morning. Prior to breakfast we had made coffee using the capsule coffee machine provided by the B&B in the upstairs vestibule. That coffee was good and we hadn't finished it. Not wanting to throw it away, we carried it into breakfast. The owner was a bit miffed that we did this, it somehow upset her vision of proper decorum for a ”formal” breakfast. We like the town and the Thousand Islands, but we wouldn't stay in the Bullock House again.
