This place is superb! - location wise, cleanliness and amenities. One small comment though for improvement is to provide microwave, a large capacity kettle and gas range that is usable - this is very useful for a large group/family guest. Overall stay experience is amazing! Kids enjoyed the pool and the room. It truly makes our stay comfortable. We will definitely comeback again. Special thanks to Jia En for your good service!

The location of the hotel is superb. Opposite JB City Square and 5mins away from CIQ. Convenience for those that want to stay near CIQ. Connected to 2 malls. Private car park. Do take note that the car park a bit narrow so be careful. Breakfast varieties considered average, free for kids under the ages of 12. The only they lacking of is their lifts. The lifts always got problem. This time round stuck inside at least 5mins. Not able to go up to our floor although floor level had been pressed. Hopefully they able to rectify the lifts so that everything going smooth.

I decided to book a hotel room at the last minute when I went to ksl mall on may 2,2026. Overall booking was easy, I claim the perks at youtrip apps, which switch to trip.com apps,. The booking stated 2pax which has no option to change to 1pax. You can go to the hotel front desk from ksl mall ground floor, which is near the exit where a lot of people waiting to take bus J100 to JB Sentral. But this entrance is open from 10am to 10pm only. The front desk was friendly and answer my question. He confirmed the room price for 1 and 2pax were the same. The hotel is non-smoking hotel, so all rooms are not smoking which was good for those has sensitive noise. The hotel has day use rate, but on that day was fully booked. There is a signboard written to book at the hotel website to get cheaper rate. The room card is used on tap on the sensor inside the lift before you can press the floor button. Free wifi. Room was clean, some tea bag, creamer, sugar, 2 btl drinking water and a electric kettle. Inside the toilet, there is a hairdryer, 2 shower cap and 2 tooth brush and toothpaste. There is a water dispenser in the lobby near the lift if you want to refill. The aircon is cool. There is a small fridge which has no pre-filled beverage which is good so no extra charge. TV is facing the bed, so you can watch it from the bed. My room has a big bed that can sleepy 3-4 people. There are 2 tower, I stayed at tower 2. There is a swimming pool at level 7. Convenience for those go there to shop, u can drop your purchase at the room then continue Shopping.

A large 20-30 years old hotel building. Clean , very large guest room with city view on the high floor. Fast check in and friendly staff. Very good buffet breakfast. Good water pressure at the high floor bathroom. None smoking rooms are available, but sometimesl smell of the smoking still coming from room ventilation. Good room price. Will stay again if I come to Johor Baru.

This hotel is located right on the Johor Strait, and from my room, I had a great view of the bridge connecting Malaysia and Singapore. Both the room and the bathroom were spacious and comfortable. The buffet breakfast was also excellent and plentiful. It's a grand hotel with a impressive feel, yet it's very well-managed. A tall young man at the front desk was particularly helpful; he even spoke Chinese, which made communication very smooth. Since the hotel is quite large, I wasn't sure where to park, and he personally escorted me to the parking lot behind the hotel. That was a really thoughtful gesture, and I'd like to express my gratitude to him here!

Mixed Experience – Good Service Recovery but Initial Handling Could Be Better I recently stayed at Holiday Villa Johor Bahru City Centre and had a mixed experience. For the first two nights, we suspected the room was not properly cleaned as both my husband and I experienced continuous sneezing throughout the stay. I reported this to the front desk after the first night, but no action was taken or escalated. Unfortunately, we had to endure a second uncomfortable night before I raised the issue again to the duty manager. I must commend the duty manager for her prompt and decisive action — she arranged an immediate room change, which made a significant difference. This level of service recovery was appreciated. However, it is unclear why the initial concern was not escalated earlier by the front desk, which could have prevented unnecessary discomfort. On a positive note, when I fell sick during the stay, the front desk staff were thoughtful enough to send porridge and warm water to my room — a kind gesture that I truly appreciated. The hotel’s location is very convenient, and the breakfast selection varies daily, which is a plus. A special mention to the egg station staff — they were consistently friendly and attentive, handling every request with a smile even during busy periods. Check-out was smooth and efficient. Overall, while there were some lapses in initial handling, the service recovery and certain staff members’ efforts stood out.

First time here and absolutely love the hotel Very clean and great stuff The rooms were a little small but overall still very good Just 5 mins walk to mid valley mall Breakfast was one of the best I’ve tried in Jb. Had so much of choices. And very nice too Hotel delivered the request I put I Will definitely go again Very happy

I had a wonderful stay at DoubleTree by Hilton Johor Bahru. From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and very professional. The check-in process was smooth, and the famous warm DoubleTree cookie made the arrival even more pleasant. The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable, with a beautiful view of the city. I especially appreciated the comfortable bed and the well-maintained facilities. The housekeeping team did a great job keeping everything spotless. The hotel location is also very convenient, with easy access to nearby shopping malls, restaurants, and the CIQ checkpoint. The breakfast buffet had a good variety of options and the food quality was excellent. Overall, it was a relaxing and enjoyable stay. I would definitely recommend DoubleTree by Hilton Johor Bahru to anyone visiting Johor Bahru and look forward to staying here again in the future

Amazing stay, very clean and apartment was as nice as shown in the photos Would be nice to have more hooks near the bathtub and in the toilets Apart from that, the place is fantastic The apartment was also very close to KSL and very accessible

The location is good, close to jb city square (5mins walk) and Tan Hiok Nee heritage street (2mins walk). No breakfast served in hotel however there is multiple restaurants/ cafe nearby. The room is clean and spacious. Check in and check out process is quick, friendly reminder to prepare rm100 for deposit (it will return upon check out). Overall experience is good, and value for money. The only issue was the traffic noise at night, which was still noticeable up on the 20th floor, likely due to causeway traffic.
