We had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Leon d’Oro in Verona. The hotel is conveniently located close to the train station, making it easy to get around. It is quite a walk to the city centre (around 15–20 minutes), but still manageable if you enjoy walking.
Rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable, providing a relaxing stay. The breakfast was a highlight, with a lot of choices available and something to suit everyone.
The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay, and the lobby and common areas feel elegant and welcoming. One small downside was that air conditioning was not available during our stay, as it was not yet summer in Italy—I wish it had been an option for added comfort.
Overall, it offers very good value for money and a comfortable experience. I would happily stay here again when visiting Verona.
The staff at the hotel are so friendly and professional! We loved the the guy at check in, so friendly and helpful! We enjoyed the spa. The breakfast is decent I would say, basic things, cakes and pastry are so delicious, the juices are soso.
The hotel offers everything you want but you must not be pingy. Some furniture, for example, leaves the funeral. But all the other wonderful, good beds, bathroom perfect, the kitchen excellent. the thermal facilities varied, beautiful and very relaxing. there are also many sports facilities.. We're going back!!!!
Staff were excellent, so friendly and could speak English. Hotel room was a little small but perfectly useable and clean. Nice relaxing garden / outdoor section to relax in. We used the Verona hire bikes right outside to / from city centre. Bus to / from train station also on doorstep. Easy and cheap!
We have stayed in this hotel only for the weekend but we had an amazing experience with the hotel staff in breakfast and dinner. So nice to all the customers and always with a smile on their faces. I would be choosing this hotel again next on my visit to Venice. As we don’t like the crowded places the location is great, rooms are clean and nice nothing old or not cleaned. 10 minutes from Venice by bus 5. Bus stop outside the hotel literally. Same bus can take you from airport to hotel and back. Buy 72 hours tkt in the hotel and you can use it for murano burano and for buses with train. Price is 45€. In general ana amazing price experience good food in the hotel. 100% suggest it.
We had a lovely one night stay and the breakfast truly stood out generous, fresh and with a wide variety to choose from. What made it even more special were Antonia and Jessica. Their warmth, attentiveness and cheerful service turned breakfast into a daily highlight. It’s rare to come across such hospitality these days. They absolutely deserve a special mention. We had a great aperitif with a spectacular view too. The rooms are spacious, which we appreciated but could do with some renovation especially the beds and pillows which felt a bit dated.
The hotel was clean and the rooms were large, the breakfast was also included in the price which made the price worth it. The service was also decent and the staff were really warm and nice.

Great hotel with so many rooms. Spending 1 night is not enough. Spend at least two nights to make trip worth it.
I recently stayed at the Royal Hotel Leonardo and had an amazing experience from start to finish. The location is perfect—just a short walk from public transport and close to many main attractions, yet peaceful enough for a good night’s sleep. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready with a smile and great local recommendations. The room was clean, modern, and beautifully decorated with Venetian touches. I especially appreciated the comfortable bed and the daily housekeeping service. Breakfast was fresh and offered a good variety, with delicious coffee to start the day. Overall, this hotel provided great value for the price. I would definitely recommend Royal Hotel Leonardo to anyone visiting Venice and would happily stay here again!
AAnonymous UserVery good experience in this hotel. The very large and clean room. The staff very careful and have gluten-free food. Furthermore, it is very close to the Academia bridge that crosses the great channel. They also have a restaurant in the same hotel. I therefore recommend it 100%.
We stayed at Hampton by Hilton Venice for 2 nights as a couple and had a wonderful experience. Everything about our stay was smooth and hassle-free — from check-in to check-out. The staff were friendly, professional, and always ready to help. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, making it easy to relax after a day of exploring Venice. The breakfast was also a highlight — fresh, delicious, and with a good variety. The hotel’s location is convenient, especially if you’re arriving or departing via the airport or train, and the shuttle service makes it even more accessible. Highly recommend this hotel for a stress-free and comfortable stay near Venice!
The shuttle boat we booked with the hotel cost 22 euros per person and took us directly to the hotel entrance, which was a great experience. It was perfect for enjoying the beautiful scenery of Venice without anyone else around. You can also take a bus directly to the entrance. I didn't visit the Glass Island last time, so I wanted to explore it this time. The hotel is right outside the scenic area, so it was a great place to wander around. The bus from the entrance goes directly to the main island, which is quite convenient, but you still have to walk a bit to the boat station. The room was average, not very clean, and the view from the window was lacking, so choose carefully if you mind. I stayed at a five-star hotel in San Marco on the main island last time and was dissatisfied because it was too old. I wonder if Venice is just like that. The beautiful weather and the beauty of Venice these days may make up for some of these shortcomings.
The location is superb as it’s just opposite Mestre Train station and 6 mins walk to Aerobus station. Very centrally located to Venice and airport. receptionists are very friendly, nice and helpful: Jessica is exceptionally wonderful. Andrea is very helpful as well. As I arrived early but the room was not available yet, I then stored my luggage at reception. What really impressed me was they had already brought my luggage in my room when I went back in the evening. Additionally, they offered me an accessible room as my mom walks with walking stick. What a good and thoughtful service! Thank you. Room is very clean and bright. A/C, heat is warm and quiet. Breakfast is acceptable, bread and pastries are very good, cakes are very delicious but hot dishes have only scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, sausages and bacon. Coffee is very tasty. It is illy coffee. I would stay in this hotel again if I visit Venice.
This is an ideal studio hotel. There is a small kitchenette with induction cooker and microwave. Also a dishwasher and fridge. All cutlery, pots and pans are there. Supermarket (Interspar) is just 5 mins walk away. There are a few eateries nearby the hotel. All the staff are friendly. We were met by staff Hinda who was super helpful. There is also a laundry room on ground floor. To go over to Venice just need to walk across the road to the bus stop above the flyover bridge. Many buses go to Venezia, 2, 7, 7E, 8E. The train station is about 5-10 mins walk from hotel. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone going to Venice.
