Citi Prestige Card.

If you’re a frequent traveller booking flights and hotels on Trip.com, the Citi Prestige Card is one of the premium cards you’ve probably come across.

It promises strong miles earned rates, unlimited lounge access, and luxury hotel perks but does it really deliver value for Singapore-based travellers?

Here’s a clear, human-friendly guide to help you decide.

Why the Citi Prestige Card Stands Out

Prestige Card Benefits Flat-Lay

The Citi Prestige Card sits firmly in the premium travel credit card category in Singapore. It’s designed for travellers who fly often, stay in hotels regularly, and want comfort along the way.

What makes it appealing:

  • Solid miles earn on foreign currency spend
  • Unlimited airport lounge access
  • Complimentary airport limo transfers
  • Luxury hotel benefits
  • Strong travel insurance coverage

For Trip.com users who frequently book overseas trips, these perks can add up quickly.

🔥Exclusive Flights Deal: Save up to S$20 on Your First Booking!

Key Benefits for Singapore Travellers

Prestige card benefits.

Generous Miles Earn Rates

The Citi Prestige Card earns Citi ThankYou Points that convert to KrisFlyer miles and other airline partners.

Typical earn rates:

  • Local spend: ~1.3 miles per S$1
  • Overseas spend: ~2 miles per S$1
  • Online travel bookings: often higher during promos

💡 Why it matters: If you often book flights or hotels on Trip.com in foreign currency, the overseas earn rate is where this card really shines.

Unlimited Airport Lounge Access

One of the biggest selling points is the Priority Pass membership.

With the Citi Prestige Card, you get:

  • Unlimited Priority Pass visits for the principal cardholder
  • Complimentary guest visits (subject to current terms)
  • Access to 1,000+ lounges worldwide

Perfect if you frequently depart from Singapore Changi Airport or transit through major hubs.

🚨Traveller tip: Even budget airline trips feel more comfortable when you can shower, eat, and relax before boarding.

Complimentary Airport Limousine Rides

Frequent flyers from Singapore love this perk.

You can enjoy complimentary airport limo transfers when you meet the minimum spend requirement each quarter.

Why this is useful:

  • Saves on Grab or taxi costs
  • Great for late-night arrivals
  • Adds a premium travel feel

For regular Trip.com bookers, hitting the spend threshold is usually achievable.

4th Night Free Hotel Benefit

This is one of the most unique perks of the Citi Prestige Card.

When you book hotels through Citi’s concierge:

  • Pay for 4 nights
  • Get the 4th night free (before taxes/fees)

Best use case:

  • City stays (Tokyo, Seoul, London)
  • Resort vacations
  • Longer leisure trips

⚠️ Note: This benefit requires booking through Citi’s designated channel, not directly via Trip.com — so compare prices before deciding.

Comprehensive Travel Insurance

Charge your travel tickets to the Citi Prestige Card and you’ll get complimentary travel insurance coverage.

Coverage typically includes:

  • Flight delay
  • Lost luggage
  • Trip cancellation
  • Overseas medical expenses

For frequent travellers, this adds useful peace of mind.

💡 Pro Tip: Book your hotel early, especially during weekends or festivals. Prices rise fast, and early bookings on Trip.com often come with extra discounts.

Fees You Should Know

Premium perks come with a premium annual fee.

Typical costs (Singapore):

  • Annual fee: around S$545 (incl. GST)
  • Income requirement: usually high (premium segment)
  • FX fees: still apply on overseas spend

💡 Reality check: This card makes the most sense if you actually use the lounge visits, limo rides, and miles earn.

How to Maximise the Citi Prestige Card on Trip.com

If you’re booking regularly on Trip.com, here’s how to get the most value.

Smart strategies

1. Use it for foreign currency bookings
This is where the miles earn rate is strongest.

2. Time your big travel purchases
Hit the limo transfer minimum spend more easily.

3. Pair with KrisFlyer redemptions
Transfer ThankYou Points strategically for better flight value.

4. Compare hotel prices
Sometimes the 4th night free beats OTA pricing but sometimes it doesn’t.

💡 Pro Tip: Stay connected during your trip with an eSIM for easy mobile data and navigation without hassle.

Location is very convenient. In between 2 MRT stations, Havelock station exit 4 and Great World Station. We’ve upgraded room at top floor. Nice scenery. Bed and pillows are very comfortable. Breakfast is amazing. There’s one thing that made us disappointed is….the hotel staff are not attentive enough towards guests. When I book this hotel, I’ve stated in the remarks that this staycation is to celebrate my husband’s birthday. However, the hotel staff didn’t prepare anything or give any complimentary cake to surprise us.

My family and I had a lovely stay at Parkroyal Collection Pickering. I specifically chose this hotel mainly because of its exterior. I love how intricate the design is and how they’ve managed to incorporate a lot of green architecture into it. The place is very accessible to a lot of establishments which is very convenient. Aside from having a well-thought of design, the staffs were also very accommodating. Overall, we really loved the place and would definitely book it again once we return to SG

Lovely and quiet stay at crystal club room with Smart Control system, log in WiFi and scan QR to control the light, fan etc. Had a room at level 9 crystal club level, breakfast, cocktails and high tea provided are simple and tasty. Room is facing another hotel so there is no view. Location is beside peninsula plaza, level 1 entrance is not so obvious, check in is at level 3. Very nice scenery from the rooftop viewing area.

Pleasant 3D2N staycation experience. Room was clean. Sufficient hooks and holding bar to hang towels and clothes in bathroom. Housekeeping returned another round to clean room when only managed to partially clean up the room during day time as guests were still occupying the room till late afternoon. Good variety/ spread of international breakfast buffet. Food quality was good. Service staff were quite prompt to clear unwanted utensils from tables. Thank you.

I had a wonderful stay at The Fullerton Hotel. The service was warm and attentive from the moment I arrived. The rooms were elegant, well-maintained, and offered a beautiful view of the city/river. I especially appreciated the little touches — from the welcome amenities to the turndown service. The breakfast spread was impressive with a good mix of local and international options. The location is excellent, with easy access to many attractions and dining spots. A truly luxurious and memorable experience — would definitely return!

The room isn't very spacious; it felt a bit cramped for two people with two suitcases. However, a big plus is that the bathroom sink is outside the main toilet area, which is convenient for two people to get ready simultaneously. It's also great that no adapter is needed for the outlets. On the downside, only one side of the bed has an outlet, so you have to charge devices at the desk. Overall, it's suitable for short stays. The front desk is on the first floor. The female staff members speak fluent English and provide excellent service. When checking in, remember that the hotel sends a booking code to your email; I wasn't paying attention and was caught off guard. One male staff member at the front desk was incredibly rude. During our check-in, he kept repeating '15 minutes, 15 minutes.' We thought we might be interrupting him, so we asked a female staff member for help instead. Less than five minutes later, another non-Chinese female guest checked in, and his attitude completely changed – he was all smiles and immediately answered her questions. It felt like the '15 minutes' was just an excuse to turn us away. Be careful when checking in, and don't let people like him ruin your mood. The second floor has a lounge and common area with a refrigerator (including ice), a sink, a toaster, tea bags, coffee packets, and more, which is convenient for relaxing after check-out. Comparatively, for the same price, you could find similar hotels in Singapore.

I stayed at Lyf Funan Singapore for 2nights as a business traveller. The design is fun and colorful, not your typical hotel vibe. The room is compact but works fine, with a private bathroom, and the sink is outside the bathroom which is actually quite convenient. I stayed in a standard room—it’s okay for couples or friends. The hotel has more of a co-living feel. There’s a shared kitchen, dining area, and even a small workout corner, so it feels more social than a normal hotel. Breakfast was a bitsimple with limited options, just a few simple dishes and some bakery items. I’d recommend skipping it and eating outside instead. Location is definitely a big plus. It’s inside Funan Mall, super convenient for shopping and food. You can also easily walk to places like Fort Canning Park (right across the road), Clarke Quay, and Merlion Park. Overall, nice stay if you like modern design and a lively vibe—just don’t expect too much from the breakfast.

It was okay, breakfast was average. The front desk service was excellent, especially when I wanted to buy something; they even helped me with directions. The bed was very large, similar to what you'd find in China, and much better than other hotels if you're looking for a really comfortable stay.

Well serviced oasis in the heart of Singapore. Had a room overlooking the Fountain of Wealth with a balcony. Room was large with great bathroom and full amenities. LOVED the pool and bar service, the views are so good. We ate at Ruth Chris Steak House and can’t recommend enough. Special shout out to Yazir, who took my bags very quickly when I was struggling and organised storage from the elevators rather than lugging them to reception. So kind!

We could not use the machine for self check-in because their system could not find our booking on trip.com, so a staff member had to manually check in for us. Excellent facilities - they provided lots of trolleys for luggages near the front door/reception area, which I think were quite thoughtful. Our kids used the playground a lot. Would love to use the swimming pool but our room (Studio Queen and Single) was quite small (especially the bathoom) to hang our swim clothes to dry. Coat hangers were provided in the room which could be used to hang swimclothes on to airdry, but with the humidity in Singapore, it would take about 2 days to completely dry. In the middle of our stay, we found a dead cockroach on the bed (first photo) while clearing stuff to prep the room for daily room service/cleaning. We left it there for the cleaner to handle it, but when we came back at night, the dead cockroach was still in the room (and moved to a different spot this time - second photo), so we cleaned it ourselves. Not that we are nitpicking, but since the room was small, we had to organise our things around every nook and cranny of the room, and I found the wall under the table near the floor quite dirty.

This is our second time staying with Msocial hotel, and we got the loft room! Staff members are pleasant and courteous. Nice amenities, including a gym and pool. A Remarkable Stay at Orchard Hotel Singapore Check-in was seamless, and I was personally welcomed by the lovely Qui Yun. She was courteous, warm, and genuinely helpful. When I inquired about rooms with a bathtub, she promptly arranged a Premier room upgrade. A thoughtful touch that set the tone for my restful retreat. It was a much-needed solo retreat, peaceful, pleasant, and quiet. The Premier room offered the tranquility I craved, perfectly complemented by a sumptuous halal breakfast buffet. Highlights included the fragrant nasi lemak, comforting porridge, delectable dumplings, and an unexpectedly delightful creamed spinach. The toilet was immaculately clean and stocked with essential amenities (shampoo, bath gel, conditioner, shower cap, vanity kit, and toothbrushes.) The rainfall shower was sublime, with excellent water pressure and perfect temperature control. I thoroughly enjoyed a relaxing soak in the bathtub. Situated in the heart of Orchard Road, the hotel’s location was perfect. With an abundance of malls and halal eateries just steps away, everything I needed was within easy reach. Checkout was a breeze, handled by Abby, another sweetheart whose warmth and efficiency made the end of my stay as pleasant as the beginning. I didn’t take any photos. I was so absorbed in enjoying my personal space. For authentic visuals, please refer to the hotel’s official photos and those shared by other reviewers. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- However, i still feel there are room for improvements. I have a few thoughtful upgrades that I believe, could elevate the experience further, even for a five-star hotel. In-Room Water System: Instead of bottled water, a 24-hour in-room water filtration or dispenser would offer greater convenience and sustainability. Streaming Convenience: It would be more seamless if Chromecast and Netflix were readily available in-room without the need for deposits or extra steps. I opted not to use Chromecast because I already had Netflix on my phone and didn’t want the hassle. Bathrobes on Demand: Bathrobes should be readily available in all rooms to better reflect five-star expectations. -----------‐-------------------------------------------------------------------- Final Thoughts: Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my time, thanks to the thoughtful staff, serene setting, delicious breakfast, and unbeatable location. With a few refinements, especially an in-room water solution, streamlined streaming options, and readily available bathrobes, it would be absolutely flawless. I can’t wait to come back.

Who Should Get the Citi Prestige Card?

Citi Prestige Audience

👍 Good fit for:

  • Frequent international travellers
  • Trip.com power users
  • Lounge lovers
  • People who value airport limo perks
  • High annual spenders

👎 Not ideal for:

  • Occasional travellers
  • Miles beginners
  • Budget-focused card users
  • People who won’t use lounges

Final Verdict: Is It Worth It?

For Singapore-based Trip.com users who travel often, the Citi Prestige Card can absolutely be worth the annual fee — but only if you fully use the perks.

If you:

  • Fly several times a year
  • Value lounge comfort
  • Spend regularly in foreign currency
  • Can utilise the limo and hotel benefits

If your travel is more occasional, a mid-tier miles card may give you better bang for your annual fee.
