Author's Profile Picture
Citi Prestige Card.

If you’re a frequent traveller booking flights and hotels on Trip.com, the Citi Prestige Card is one of the premium cards you’ve probably come across.

It promises strong miles earned rates, unlimited lounge access, and luxury hotel perks but does it really deliver value for Singapore-based travellers?

Here’s a clear, human-friendly guide to help you decide.

Why the Citi Prestige Card Stands Out

Prestige Card Benefits Flat-Lay

The Citi Prestige Card sits firmly in the premium travel credit card category in Singapore. It’s designed for travellers who fly often, stay in hotels regularly, and want comfort along the way.

What makes it appealing:

  • Solid miles earn on foreign currency spend
  • Unlimited airport lounge access
  • Complimentary airport limo transfers
  • Luxury hotel benefits
  • Strong travel insurance coverage

For Trip.com users who frequently book overseas trips, these perks can add up quickly.

Key Benefits for Singapore Travellers

Prestige card benefits.

Generous Miles Earn Rates

The Citi Prestige Card earns Citi ThankYou Points that convert to KrisFlyer miles and other airline partners.

Typical earn rates:

  • Local spend: ~1.3 miles per S$1
  • Overseas spend: ~2 miles per S$1
  • Online travel bookings: often higher during promos

💡 Why it matters: If you often book flights or hotels on Trip.com in foreign currency, the overseas earn rate is where this card really shines.

Unlimited Airport Lounge Access

One of the biggest selling points is the Priority Pass membership.

With the Citi Prestige Card, you get:

  • Unlimited Priority Pass visits for the principal cardholder
  • Complimentary guest visits (subject to current terms)
  • Access to 1,000+ lounges worldwide

Perfect if you frequently depart from Singapore Changi Airport or transit through major hubs.

🚨Traveller tip: Even budget airline trips feel more comfortable when you can shower, eat, and relax before boarding.

Complimentary Airport Limousine Rides

Frequent flyers from Singapore love this perk.

You can enjoy complimentary airport limo transfers when you meet the minimum spend requirement each quarter.

Why this is useful:

  • Saves on Grab or taxi costs
  • Great for late-night arrivals
  • Adds a premium travel feel

For regular Trip.com bookers, hitting the spend threshold is usually achievable.

4th Night Free Hotel Benefit

This is one of the most unique perks of the Citi Prestige Card.

When you book hotels through Citi’s concierge:

  • Pay for 4 nights
  • Get the 4th night free (before taxes/fees)

Best use case:

  • City stays (Tokyo, Seoul, London)
  • Resort vacations
  • Longer leisure trips

⚠️ Note: This benefit requires booking through Citi’s designated channel, not directly via Trip.com — so compare prices before deciding.

Comprehensive Travel Insurance

Charge your travel tickets to the Citi Prestige Card and you’ll get complimentary travel insurance coverage.

Coverage typically includes:

  • Flight delay
  • Lost luggage
  • Trip cancellation
  • Overseas medical expenses

For frequent travellers, this adds useful peace of mind.

💡 Pro Tip: Book your hotel early, especially during weekends or festivals. Prices rise fast, and early bookings on Trip.com often come with extra discounts.

Fees You Should Know

Premium perks come with a premium annual fee.

Typical costs (Singapore):

  • Annual fee: around S$545 (incl. GST)
  • Income requirement: usually high (premium segment)
  • FX fees: still apply on overseas spend

💡 Reality check: This card makes the most sense if you actually use the lounge visits, limo rides, and miles earn.

2. Time your big travel purchases
Hit the limo transfer minimum spend more easily.

3. Pair with KrisFlyer redemptions

The location is pretty good, with convenient subway access right next to Chinatown. However, most shops in Chinatown were closed during the Chinese New Year. On the first day, it rained, so we took a taxi instead of the subway, and it was incredibly expensive. A 3.2km ride cost 34 Singapore dollars (likely due to holiday surge pricing). So, friends, remember to take the subway when you're in Singapore, don't hail a taxi. The facilities are just okay, but the breakfast was filling.

Location is very convenient. In between 2 MRT stations, Havelock station exit 4 and Great World Station. We’ve upgraded room at top floor. Nice scenery. Bed and pillows are very comfortable. Breakfast is amazing. There’s one thing that made us disappointed is….the hotel staff are not attentive enough towards guests. When I book this hotel, I’ve stated in the remarks that this staycation is to celebrate my husband’s birthday. However, the hotel staff didn’t prepare anything or give any complimentary cake to surprise us.

As a hotel that's been open for over ten years, it still maintains its consistently warm service. However, the in-room facilities are showing their age, and there's a noticeable gap compared to newly opened hotels. This hotel's strong suit is its excellent value for money; for the same price, you won't find a hotel with better convenience for getting around. Therefore, it's still highly recommended.

Great location! The subway is right downstairs, making it super convenient to get to all the nearby attractions. There are also tons of food options, perfect for a Chinese palate 😋. The lobby is very comfortable too. My only minor gripes are that the bed didn't feel like a true king-size, and the room was a bit dark – though, on second thought, having less natural light in a tropical climate actually helps keep it cooler. They pay attention to the details, like the thick and comfy slippers, but the bathrobes are a bit old and small; they could definitely use an upgrade.

Having stayed at this Singapore hotel for two consecutive Chinese New Year holidays, what stands out most is the exceptionally warm and friendly staff—especially Gladys, Iman, and Amanda. Each visit has been met with such thoughtful hospitality that I truly felt at home. The rooms are quite spacious by Singapore standards, well-appointed with modern amenities, and impeccably clean. The TWG tea, a lovely local touch, is a delightful bonus. My absolute favorite, however, is the Executive Lounge. It offers an impressive variety of breakfast, dinner, and snacks daily. As someone with a selective palate, I was pleasantly surprised to find everything from smoked salmon, fresh fruit, high-quality proteins, and whole-grain bread to local Nanyang specialties—all available, and the menu changes daily. To dine so well while traveling has been a wonderful surprise. This hotel has undoubtedly become my first choice in Singapore. My sincere thanks again to the entire team for their exceptional care. Wishing you continued success.

The housekeeping staff were incredibly attentive; they cleaned our room thoroughly every day and even tidied up the cosmetics on the vanity. They were always very polite when we encountered them. Overall, the staff quality is excellent. I also left my power bank in the hotel restaurant while dining, and it was returned to me very quickly. We had a great experience during our six-night stay.

Have stayed here 3 times on each visit to SG over the past year. The location is great. Only some rooms have bidet, and where one of our rooms has no bidet, there is a mini fridge. Hope that very room will get a bidet and mini fridge eventually. The TV is useless as the Internet is too slow to cast anything on it. Maybe provide a HDMI cable so we could connect our devices to it. Wish there are stretch bands and roller foam provided in the gym. I’ve seen some guests confused over the way to use the washer and dryer, so it might be good to print a poster with instructions to use them.

Housed in a century-old historic building, this hotel boasts a prime downtown location and an air of old-money elegance. The rooms are grand and comfortable, and the service is exceptionally high-quality. Breakfast is quite good; while the variety might not be as extensive as some five-star hotels back home, the quality of everything is superb. The freshly made laksa noodles and omelets were excellent, and the juices were freshly squeezed. In the room, they provided a complimentary folding fan and tickets to the Asian Civilisations Museum and the Peranakan Museum. If you have time, both museums are well worth a visit. I didn't know about the complimentary tickets beforehand and had already bought my own ticket to the Asian Civilisations Museum. The outdoor pool on the second floor offers fantastic views; even if you don't swim, I recommend going in the evening to enjoy the scenery and take some photos.

impressive and new style hotel. located exact at Funan Mall, City Hall MRT walking distance from mall to mall. have many choice of restaurant around inside mall. Coffee shop open 8am and have mc-D. The room only provide hair dryer, shower gel, Shampoo and condition, towel. any extra item will have to request. is actually an duplex condo style with one bed room and two bedroom with kitchenette. it have Gym, Hang around hall, swim pool, and main kitchen for guest use. and also co-working space. The main problem is only with the exhaust fan system no good, and the condo always have the bathroom and toilet in the middle of the house with no window attached. so this could be the problem with toilet bowl have smelly. otherwise is perfect and recommended for stay.

This hotel boasts a fantastic design, with the entire building covered in lush greenery, which is incredibly refreshing to see. The staff provides excellent service, very warm and genuine. The room size is quite generous for its price range, easily accommodating two large suitcases. It's also very close to the Tozai Line subway entrance, making it super convenient to get here from the airport.

The hotel is conveniently located right by the Singapore River. My kids absolutely loved the split-level design of the room. While the room isn't huge, the three-part bathroom setup was incredibly practical, allowing everyone to use it at different times. The front desk service was quite good, definitely not as bad as some previous reviews suggested.

The room was great, and the service was excellent. It's right by the subway exit, so not far at all. We were two adults and one child, and they didn't have any king beds left, but two single beds pushed together were still very spacious. Overall, it was a really good stay.

This is a budget hotel with small rooms and narrow beds, but the cleanliness is acceptable. Given the generally high accommodation costs in Singapore, it offers good value for money. The hotel staff are generally very friendly and helpful. The location is excellent, close to Clarke Quay MRT station, making it convenient to reach Clarke Quay, Chinatown, and the Police Headquarters landmark. Bak Kut Teh and Ya Kun Kaya Toast are also nearby. The Tong Le Seafood restaurant downstairs serves delicious food. Interestingly, all the housekeeping staff are male.

Overall, my stay was good, but there were a few inconveniences. I felt a bit frustrated as I was not informed in advance that a passport was required for check-in, which caused me to go back home to retrieve it. After checking in, the room access provided was not updated, so I had to go back down again to have it corrected. Additionally, the bathroom did not have a bidet, which would have been more comfortable for guests. Despite these issues, the hotel itself is nice, and overall the stay was still good.

This was my first time in Singapore, and I blindly chose this hotel from many options because the pictures looked great and it was close to the MTR (subway). Upon arrival, I found that it truly is very close to the MTR; you can access the station by walking through the mall without even going outside. It's about a kilometer from the Singapore Flyer and Marina Bay Sands, and there are attractions like the National Gallery nearby. It's perfect for an after-dinner stroll, as it might even be faster to walk than take public transport for those short distances. The service was excellent, and the breakfast was incredibly rich and delicious. It might be the best hotel breakfast I've ever had, definitely on par with a Park Hyatt. I had read some reviews mentioning poor soundproofing, but I didn't experience that during my stay. The hotel has wooden floors, with a carpeted area around the bed, which is great for someone with allergies like me. The hotel is truly beautiful, and the Christmas decorations were very thoughtfully done. I really felt like I didn't want to leave and would definitely stay here again next time. The only downside, in my opinion, was the hairdryer. It really didn't match the overall decor; it was an old-fashioned type that was noisy and didn't have concentrated airflow, making it slow to dry hair. I hope they can upgrade the hairdryers next time.

The hotel is a 5-10 minute walk from Havelock MRT station, offering convenient transportation and a variety of dining options, from seafood restaurants to budget fast-food joints. It's also not far from Chinatown and Orchard Road. The room size is decent, which is quite good for Singapore. The hotel's exterior looks grand, but the interior of the rooms is a bit old-fashioned. Particularly, there's only a bathtub, which even has long-standing water stains. The room amenities are on par with a basic budget hotel.

Checkin took quite a while upon my arrival at around 6 pm on the Saturday, 25th Oct. Took around 40min to queue. Room is a mini one, where the double bed is 1.5m wide. Difficult to open my 28 inch luggae in the room, making me wonder whether it really has a 19 sqm floor size. Other amenities are good, and you have to use the please clean button on the wall to call the cleaning team to do the housekeeping. View from the room is nice.

If you:

  • Spend regularly in foreign currency
  • Can utilise the limo and hotel benefits

If your travel is more occasional, a mid-tier miles card may give you better bang for your annual fee.
