Citi Prestige Card Singapore: Benefits for Travelers

Author's Profile Picture
Citi Prestige Card.

If you’re a frequent traveller booking flights and hotels on Trip.com, the Citi Prestige Card is one of the premium cards you’ve probably come across.

It promises strong miles earned rates, unlimited lounge access, and luxury hotel perks but does it really deliver value for Singapore-based travellers?

Here’s a clear, human-friendly guide to help you decide.

Why the Citi Prestige Card Stands Out

Prestige Card Benefits Flat-Lay

The Citi Prestige Card sits firmly in the premium travel credit card category in Singapore. It’s designed for travellers who fly often, stay in hotels regularly, and want comfort along the way.

What makes it appealing:

  • Solid miles earn on foreign currency spend
  • Unlimited airport lounge access
  • Complimentary airport limo transfers
  • Luxury hotel benefits
  • Strong travel insurance coverage

For Trip.com users who frequently book overseas trips, these perks can add up quickly.

Key Benefits for Singapore Travellers

Prestige card benefits.

Generous Miles Earn Rates

The Citi Prestige Card earns Citi ThankYou Points that convert to KrisFlyer miles and other airline partners.

Typical earn rates:

  • Local spend: ~1.3 miles per S$1
  • Overseas spend: ~2 miles per S$1
  • Online travel bookings: often higher during promos

💡 Why it matters: If you often book flights or hotels on Trip.com in foreign currency, the overseas earn rate is where this card really shines.

Unlimited Airport Lounge Access

One of the biggest selling points is the Priority Pass membership.

With the Citi Prestige Card, you get:

  • Unlimited Priority Pass visits for the principal cardholder
  • Complimentary guest visits (subject to current terms)
  • Access to 1,000+ lounges worldwide

Perfect if you frequently depart from Singapore Changi Airport or transit through major hubs.

🚨Traveller tip: Even budget airline trips feel more comfortable when you can shower, eat, and relax before boarding.

Complimentary Airport Limousine Rides

Frequent flyers from Singapore love this perk.

You can enjoy complimentary airport limo transfers when you meet the minimum spend requirement each quarter.

Why this is useful:

  • Saves on Grab or taxi costs
  • Great for late-night arrivals
  • Adds a premium travel feel

For regular Trip.com bookers, hitting the spend threshold is usually achievable.

4th Night Free Hotel Benefit

This is one of the most unique perks of the Citi Prestige Card.

When you book hotels through Citi’s concierge:

  • Pay for 4 nights
  • Get the 4th night free (before taxes/fees)

Best use case:

  • City stays (Tokyo, Seoul, London)
  • Resort vacations
  • Longer leisure trips

⚠️ Note: This benefit requires booking through Citi’s designated channel, not directly via Trip.com — so compare prices before deciding.

Comprehensive Travel Insurance

Charge your travel tickets to the Citi Prestige Card and you’ll get complimentary travel insurance coverage.

Coverage typically includes:

  • Flight delay
  • Lost luggage
  • Trip cancellation
  • Overseas medical expenses

For frequent travellers, this adds useful peace of mind.

💡 Pro Tip: Book your hotel early, especially during weekends or festivals. Prices rise fast, and early bookings on Trip.com often come with extra discounts.

Fees You Should Know

Premium perks come with a premium annual fee.

Typical costs (Singapore):

  • Annual fee: around S$545 (incl. GST)
  • Income requirement: usually high (premium segment)
  • FX fees: still apply on overseas spend

💡 Reality check: This card makes the most sense if you actually use the lounge visits, limo rides, and miles earn.

2. Time your big travel purchases
Hit the limo transfer minimum spend more easily.

3. Pair with KrisFlyer redemptions

Checked into the hotel after our solemnisation and wowed by the wonderful service and hospitality of the hotel. Shout out to Andy from front desk, who kindly helped us arrange for late check out and even scheduled a complimentary congratulatory cake for us. The hotel was conveniently located at tanjong area and room was on a high floor, which overlooked the shophouse area in front. Will definitely come back for another stay. 👍🏼

Location is very convenient. In between 2 MRT stations, Havelock station exit 4 and Great World Station. We’ve upgraded room at top floor. Nice scenery. Bed and pillows are very comfortable. Breakfast is amazing. There’s one thing that made us disappointed is….the hotel staff are not attentive enough towards guests. When I book this hotel, I’ve stated in the remarks that this staycation is to celebrate my husband’s birthday. However, the hotel staff didn’t prepare anything or give any complimentary cake to surprise us.

The location is great, only a 5-7 minute walk from the metro station. It's also very convenient for popular attractions like the National Gallery Singapore, all within walking distance. The hotel seems a bit older, and the facilities are showing their age. All the front desk staff and bellhops are Indian. No one spoke Chinese, but English communication was smooth enough, despite some accents. The service attitude was also quite good.

The Parkroyal Collection Pickering is a very nice Hotel, the staff is very friendly and helpful, the breakfast buffet is amazing and the rooms are spacious and clean. Above all the integration of outside gardens into the building adds a lot to the nice atmosphere of the hotel. Last but not least the location is very convenient to get along in Singapore.

This time, the executive lounge room we got was significantly smaller than before. This is our third visit, and it's the only time there's been no bathtub, and the toilet and sink were uncomfortably close. The executive lounge had no Coke, which was disappointing, and the drink selection was reduced. In the evenings, only red wine was available. It feels like the budget for drinks has been cut, but the food is still great, whether it's afternoon tea, dinner, or breakfast. One small detail: previously, every time we entered the executive lounge, a server would immediately come over and ask if we'd like coffee and what kind. This time, that didn't happen. I wonder if it's a new policy to cut costs, but for frequent guests like us, it's quite noticeable.

The room had a bit of an odor, but after a while, I didn't notice it anymore. The twin beds in the deluxe panoramic room were quite small, less than 1 meter wide. The service wasn't particularly warm, but not terrible either; no one smiled the whole time. Something I need to mention: when I checked on Trip.com, it said the cheapest deluxe room was booked, so I chose a room on the 23rd floor or higher. After booking, I didn't check the order. When I arrived at the hotel, I found my order was for the cheapest low-floor room. I asked Trip.com customer service, and they said they couldn't reach the hotel. After explaining the situation to the hotel front desk, they arranged for me to stay on the 28th floor. However, the room wasn't great. They kept emphasizing that it was an upgrade, but I believe this was Trip.com's shady practice and not the hotel's fault. I checked the room selection three times, and each time the price was different, getting progressively more expensive. On another note, the hotel breakfast is indeed good, but one day is enough to try it. I had breakfast for three days, and there was absolutely no variety. The hotel's location is excellent, convenient for getting anywhere. On the 28th floor, there's a glass window to the left of the elevators that offers a panoramic view of Marina Bay Sands and the Singapore Flyer.

Housed in a century-old historic building, this hotel boasts a prime downtown location and an air of old-money elegance. The rooms are grand and comfortable, and the service is exceptionally high-quality. Breakfast is quite good; while the variety might not be as extensive as some five-star hotels back home, the quality of everything is superb. The freshly made laksa noodles and omelets were excellent, and the juices were freshly squeezed. In the room, they provided a complimentary folding fan and tickets to the Asian Civilisations Museum and the Peranakan Museum. If you have time, both museums are well worth a visit. I didn't know about the complimentary tickets beforehand and had already bought my own ticket to the Asian Civilisations Museum. The outdoor pool on the second floor offers fantastic views; even if you don't swim, I recommend going in the evening to enjoy the scenery and take some photos.

The location of this hotel is very good, accessible to the MRT and few malls around the area. One of a kind studio is quite spacious for one or two person. It is located next to the fire station, so maybe is not a good choice for light sleeper. Definitely will come back again for my next visit.

Very near Tanjong Pagar MRT Station and string of shops at Tanjong Pagar Road. Also, only 10 minutes walk to Maxwell Market and Tanjong Pagar Plaza with hundreds of eateries. Although we paid S$20 per night plus tax for an upgrade of room for early check in, the room was quite small. Nonetheless, it was modern and acceptable. The welcoming note with blessings was wonderful. The breakfast was a bit simple, but still adequate

The hotel's location is decent, and the cleanliness is acceptable. However, because of the room type, the windows are sealed glass, and relying solely on air conditioning makes the air feel a bit uncomfortable. The biggest issue was that for some reason, there were an unusually large number of people checking in that day, leading to a very long queue. After nearly an hour, when it was finally our turn, the front desk informed us there were no rooms available. We arrived at the designated check-in time, so it's baffling why no rooms had been prepared. Many people behind us in line also found themselves without rooms and had to keep waiting. The front desk offered some restaurant vouchers as compensation, and that was that. Other than these issues, the hotel is alright.

Stayed 3D2N with my daughter to meet my youngest daughter from SMU. The hotel nearby SMU Campus . The hotel room is very big room compare i survey the other hotel, , newly renovated and clean. The staff are very friendly, especially the front counter staff. The hotel provides a water filter machine on every floor (reminder: bring your own tumbler 👍). The location is very convenient for MRT — just a few steps away from Bras Basah MRT 🚇, and Bus Stop are available directly to Suntec City Mall and Marina Bay. Within a 5-minute walk, you can reach Bugis Street, Bugis Junction, and Bugis+ for shopping and food. In front of the the Bugis Malll, there’s a Chinese hawker stall — the chicken rice is nice, cheap, and delicious 😋. Overall, it’s a great place to stay. Worth the money, and I will definitely come back for my next trip!

The location is superb, within walking distance of Clarke Quay and Chinatown MRT stations. You'll find three or four shopping malls with plenty of dining options within a ten-minute walk. Sentosa and Marina Bay Sands are also just a 30-minute MRT ride away. A deposit is required upon check-in, and only Visa and Mastercard are accepted. During my five-day stay, all the staff I encountered only spoke English, but they were all very friendly and resolved any issues promptly. The room isn't large, but the layout is very efficient. The small table, bay window, and counter maximize the space, allowing a 24-inch suitcase to be opened flat comfortably. There's an electric kettle and complimentary filtered water, which is convenient for making tea or coffee. The mini-fridge is also handy for storing supermarket-bought yogurt and fruits. A 24-hour gym is available, and the swimming pool is open from 7 AM to 10 PM. If I had to mention any downsides, the air conditioning was a bit temperamental, blowing hot and cold. Also, housekeeping didn't consistently replenish amenities after cleaning, which meant I had to call the front desk to request them. On the bright side, the bed linen was changed daily. Overall, I would definitely stay here again on my next visit.

This is my 3rd time checking in to this hotel. Cause their service was great from my 1st and 2nd experience. esp their amenities and location, but when i checked in yesterday, 24/12/25. i had a horrible experience with the receptionist name “Diyana” she kept on telling me that my physical ID si not enough as a requirement for check in, she kept on insisting that she needs my passport, but i told her, i’ve been to other hotels here in SG, they never as for my passport cause i already have the IC. she asked me to go back to my house and collect my passport or else i wont be able to use my key card. i told her, my house is far away from bugis, and she told me she really need my passport, and IC is not enough. I’m so frustrated and pissed off cause it will took me 2hrs to go back and get my passpord, and she even told me that my key card will only be valid until 7pm. and she needs to see my passport by 7pm. And when i check their regulations in website, it was stated there that either physical IC or passport will do. I’m very dissappointed with what happened. And she even kept on calling to our room, telling me that the visiting hours is until 10:30pm, when i checked the time. its only 8pm. I thought i will have a good time with one of the fav hotels in SG, but because of your staff “Diyana”, she made my stay with alot hassle and worst experience with Pan Pacific.

Well serviced oasis in the heart of Singapore. Had a room overlooking the Fountain of Wealth with a balcony. Room was large with great bathroom and full amenities. LOVED the pool and bar service, the views are so good. We ate at Ruth Chris Steak House and can’t recommend enough. Special shout out to Yazir, who took my bags very quickly when I was struggling and organised storage from the elevators rather than lugging them to reception. So kind!

## Environment: The location is good, very close to the subway, making transportation convenient. There's a convenience store downstairs, so it's easy to grab a bite if you get hungry at night. We East Asians might find the smell in some areas a bit uncomfortable (mainly in the elevator; the lobby and rooms are fine. You know the drill). ## Hygiene: The room was quite clean. ## Service: Check-in involved a bit of a wait. For Singapore, it seems there are fewer staff who speak Chinese. Also, my breakfast records for two days weren't logged, so I had to explain and confirm with the staff every morning. ## Breakfast: Perhaps to cater to the needs of Indian guests, the breakfast here was truly difficult to describe... ## Facilities: The hotel facilities are quite old, but! The important thing is that the rooms are really spacious. If you're not a fan of Singapore's super small-sized rooms, I highly recommend this place. Additionally, the hotel decor might remind you of the golden nineties; it's quite retro and stylish in its own way.

Orchard Road Singapore|3.66km from downtown
I stayed here for a week because I was too lazy to switch hotels. The location is great, just a few minutes' walk to Orchard Road and the MRT station, and there's a bus stop right outside, making transportation very convenient. However, it seems like they don't have any Chinese-speaking staff, so it might not be ideal for independent travelers who don't speak English well. I also have to complain about the housekeeping; it was obvious they did a very perfunctory job. When they changed the sheets, they'd take my pajamas off the bed and instead of folding them or at least putting them back on the bed, they'd leave them on the bedside table or even tucked inside the drawer. I bring most of my own toiletries and rarely use the hotel's, but even for the few things I did use, they weren't replenished during cleaning. There's also no complimentary bottled water in the room, even though I saw full cases of water on the cleaning cart, which makes me assume you have to specifically ask for it.

Who Should Get the Citi Prestige Card?

Citi Prestige Audience

👍 Good fit for:

  • Frequent international travellers
  • Trip.com power users
  • Lounge lovers
  • People who value airport limo perks
  • High annual spenders

👎 Not ideal for:

  • Occasional travellers
  • Miles beginners
  • Budget-focused card users
  • People who won’t use lounges

Final Verdict: Is It Worth It?

For Singapore-based Trip.com users who travel often, the Citi Prestige Card can absolutely be worth the annual fee — but only if you fully use the perks.

If you:

  • Fly several times a year
  • Value lounge comfort
  • Spend regularly in foreign currency
  • Can utilise the limo and hotel benefits

If your travel is more occasional, a mid-tier miles card may give you better bang for your annual fee.
