It promises strong miles earned rates, unlimited lounge access, and luxury hotel perks but does it really deliver value for Singapore-based travellers?

Here’s a clear, human-friendly guide to help you decide.

Why the Citi Prestige Card Stands Out

Prestige Card Benefits Flat-Lay

The Citi Prestige Card sits firmly in the premium travel credit card category in Singapore. It’s designed for travellers who fly often, stay in hotels regularly, and want comfort along the way.

What makes it appealing:

  • Solid miles earn on foreign currency spend
  • Unlimited airport lounge access
  • Complimentary airport limo transfers
  • Luxury hotel benefits
  • Strong travel insurance coverage

For Trip.com users who frequently book overseas trips, these perks can add up quickly.

Key Benefits for Singapore Travellers

Prestige card benefits.

Generous Miles Earn Rates

The Citi Prestige Card earns Citi ThankYou Points that convert to KrisFlyer miles and other airline partners.

Typical earn rates:

  • Local spend: ~1.3 miles per S$1
  • Overseas spend: ~2 miles per S$1
  • Online travel bookings: often higher during promos

💡 Why it matters: If you often book flights or hotels on Trip.com in foreign currency, the overseas earn rate is where this card really shines.

Unlimited Airport Lounge Access

One of the biggest selling points is the Priority Pass membership.

With the Citi Prestige Card, you get:

  • Unlimited Priority Pass visits for the principal cardholder
  • Complimentary guest visits (subject to current terms)
  • Access to 1,000+ lounges worldwide

Perfect if you frequently depart from Singapore Changi Airport or transit through major hubs.

🚨Traveller tip: Even budget airline trips feel more comfortable when you can shower, eat, and relax before boarding.

Complimentary Airport Limousine Rides

Frequent flyers from Singapore love this perk.

You can enjoy complimentary airport limo transfers when you meet the minimum spend requirement each quarter.

Why this is useful:

  • Saves on Grab or taxi costs
  • Great for late-night arrivals
  • Adds a premium travel feel

For regular Trip.com bookers, hitting the spend threshold is usually achievable.

4th Night Free Hotel Benefit

This is one of the most unique perks of the Citi Prestige Card.

When you book hotels through Citi’s concierge:

  • Pay for 4 nights
  • Get the 4th night free (before taxes/fees)

Best use case:

  • City stays (Tokyo, Seoul, London)
  • Resort vacations
  • Longer leisure trips

⚠️ Note: This benefit requires booking through Citi’s designated channel, not directly via Trip.com — so compare prices before deciding.

Comprehensive Travel Insurance

Charge your travel tickets to the Citi Prestige Card and you’ll get complimentary travel insurance coverage.

Coverage typically includes:

  • Flight delay
  • Lost luggage
  • Trip cancellation
  • Overseas medical expenses

For frequent travellers, this adds useful peace of mind.

💡 Pro Tip: Book your hotel early, especially during weekends or festivals. Prices rise fast, and early bookings on Trip.com often come with extra discounts.

Fees You Should Know

Premium perks come with a premium annual fee.

Typical costs (Singapore):

  • Annual fee: around S$545 (incl. GST)
  • Income requirement: usually high (premium segment)
  • FX fees: still apply on overseas spend

💡 Reality check: This card makes the most sense if you actually use the lounge visits, limo rides, and miles earn.

How to Maximise the Citi Prestige Card on Trip.com

If you’re booking regularly on Trip.com, here’s how to get the most value.

2. Time your big travel purchases
Hit the limo transfer minimum spend more easily.

3. Pair with KrisFlyer redemptions
Transfer ThankYou Points strategically for better flight value.

4. Compare hotel prices
Sometimes the 4th night free beats OTA pricing but sometimes it doesn’t.

Stayed here with my mom in Singapore. The room was really new and clean, and the staff were all very polite. The view from the window was beautiful, and the breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of options. The hotel's location is convenient; there's a mall within a ten-minute walk where you can also find places to eat. It's about a 30-minute walk to Orchard Road or two metro stops away.

The hotel is located in the CBD area, making public transportation very convenient with plenty of options. The hotel's decor and facilities are a bit dated, but they are well-maintained. The room space is quite generous. The executive lounge service wasn't what I expected from an executive lounge; the hotel only offered some drinks and snacks in the afternoon and didn't provide all-day dining. The buffet breakfast had a good selection of Chinese food.

Chinatown Singapore|0.83km from downtown
The hotel's location is excellent. If you're traveling by subway, you can just use the side entrance to the mall, and the transfer at Chinatown station is super smooth. The hotel environment is elegant and quiet, which is great for those who need good sleep. The breakfast selection isn't huge, but it's more than enough for daily needs, and they have all the standard coffee options. What's really cool is that they offer coffee in paper cups, which is a nice touch! Also, there's a fully automatic robot that cooks noodles, and they taste pretty good – definitely worth trying if you like noodles! The hotel service was fantastic. Overall, my friend and I were very satisfied. Next time I bring my whole family to Singapore, I'll definitely choose to stay here again because it's so convenient to get to VivoCity by subway. We can head over there for some spicy crab, haha! 😆

This hotel is great! The room was very clean, and the facilities were all good, especially the swimming pool – it was absolutely fantastic. The service was actually very attentive, not at all like what I read online. I'm really satisfied. I'm not sure why there are so many bad reviews. To be honest, there was one time the front desk was a bit slow with check-in, probably because we were foreigners. If I hadn't seen the reflection of him typing on the computer screen, I would've thought he was playing a round of Minesweeper!

First time staying at Pan Pacific 3D2N stay was pleasant. As we book connecting room , and have to wait a bit longer for our other room to be ready the reception display their best professionalism to accommodate. The room was spacious, mini fridge filled with drinks and chocolate reserve for guests for quick snack. Like the motorized curtains. The amenities like coffee machine come in handy for a good coffee. Our high floor panoramic city view room, we did manage to catch a glimpse of the Singapore flyer, marina bay sands from outside our room which is a breath taking view. Hope we get to book marina view next time. The pool was big and my kids enjoy relaxing and swimming. The foot reflexology treatment was relaxing and comforting. Overall I'm delighted with my staycation from the moment we arrive, we were welcome and greeted by the bell attendant, front reception, even check out was smooth and till our departure the hotel staff hospitality has treated us well. On side note if room service food/halal breakfast spread is available would be added advantage for Muslim guests. 👍👍

Hygiene: Clean and tidy, no issues. Service: Very good, they responded to every request. Environment: You can see the Marina Bay Sands night view, which is fantastic and highly recommended. Getting to Merlion Park is super convenient via the underground passage. Service: The lounge service was excellent. I'll prioritize booking a lounge floor next time.

This hotel is centrally located, very convenient to the MRT and bus stops, making it easy to get around even on foot. As it's surrounded by several academies, it's a paradise for young people with plenty of shopping malls and restaurants. The rooms have basic amenities, but they are thoughtfully designed, such as the hot water dispenser in the room, and shared irons, ironing boards, fridges, and microwaves on each floor. There are also coin-operated laundry facilities, which are very useful given Singapore's hot weather. The laundry room is connected to the gym, a nice touch so you can work out while waiting. For short stays, they don't clean the room daily. The air conditioning is excellent. The bathroom, however, doesn't have a wet/dry separation.

Picked Lyf at Funan cause of its accessibility to performance venues plus work. This is the second time staying at an Ascott group and serviced apartment-type hotel. The Lyf guards/staff were super helpful during check in. Rooms were from level 5 onwards, situated on both sides of the lift and via a secured door of which we had to tap our room card to access the corridor of rooms. Meaning corridor of rooms (left and right side of the lift) also had its own secured entrance. We could even use the DiscoverASR app on our phone to access our hotel room. Love this idea so much. I feel all hotels should implement this system. There was a black board outside each room for us to draw something should we wish. Each room also came with its own unique door design, which resembled local gates and doors in Singapore. Which is pretty cool! Hotel room was fairly clean, but I did find a huge fingernail on the sheets at one point, which I threw in the bin. Bathroom was good. While I do appreciate the compact creativity of the bathroom, it does not allow a guest to place the bathroom mat in the bathroom itself, without risk of getting it wet or soaked. Instead, placing it outside (in the bedroom) felt more feasible, though not aesthetically pleasing. Love the Ideology shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and hand wash! They always reminds me of Aesop products. Shower water pressure was good, and one could choose between shower head or rain shower. AC was good too, though I do wish that we are able to adjust the temp. I tried to set it lower than 20, but was unable to. Bed was an interesting structure of a mattress on a wooden (plank) “shelf”, which meant that it was lower than a normal bed height. This allowed for better usage of the room space, though older guests might find trouble getting up. I do love that there was a small space from the mattress, which allowed us to place our phone/charging devices, even a drink beside us. There was a small room safe was underneath the bed too. However, as the middle leg of the wooden structure also supported the weight of the structure, this meant that one might stub their toes/feet into it. Guests mentioned that they didn’t like having to crawl across the bed to draw the blinds up and down, which is exactly I had to do too. As there was some landscaping works going on, I also saw a giant grasshopper outside. Very nature vibes! There was breakfast provided daily on Level 5. Nothing fancy but still pretty decent. There was a mix of local/asian and some western cuisine on the menu. Staff at the breakfast area were super amicable and efficient. Appreciated that there was a small kettle, and two mugs in the room. Which meant there was no need to head to communal kitchen for hot water should one decide to have a cuppa or instant soup. There was however no mini fridge in the room. And no telly either, not even a small one. Not a huge issue as a staycation, but might have been a deterrent if I had been visiting. At 18sq metres, this basic one of a kind room was also much smaller than the Lyf on Elizabeth St in Melbourne - which had a telly and fridge, at 22sq metres. There was however considerable good usage of the room at Lyf @ Funan. Hanging racks instead of a wardrobe. Shelves of sorts, and hidden corners to put your stuff in. Some worked better than others. As I normally make my bed before checking out, I wondered if it was more difficult for housekeeping to make the beds of these sort of rooms considering the height and the fact that it’s wedged to the end at the window. Nevertheless, albeit the shortcomings in the functionality of a some design aspects, I would definitely still stay here again, if the price was right. They have strong competition from nearby hotels. Place is good. Safe, and easy to get to, even if it’s past midnight or 6am in the morning. The entrance to Funan is actually open, and there’s a straight lift to the hotel. maccas downstairs that opens till 2am.

The hotel's location is indeed very convenient, being very close to the subway station—just across the road. There are also shopping malls and attractions nearby to explore. However, there are quite a few roads around, making crossing a bit tricky. The hotel rooms are a bit dated, and the facilities show some age. On the first day of my stay, the bedsheets had stains! The receptionist downstairs wasn't very warm or welcoming, and they didn't proactively inform guests that dining at the downstairs restaurant offered a 15% discount, which meant I missed out on it during my first meal. Luckily, another server reminded me during my second meal, and I was able to use the discount then.

The hotel's location is excellent, with a subway station right outside the door and another line a few hundred meters away that goes to Chinatown. It's about an 800-meter walk to the Fort Canning tree tunnel (a popular photo spot), and from there you can continue on to the Old Hill Street Police Station (also known as the Rainbow Police Station), Clarke Quay, and the Merlion. The room size is a definite advantage compared to other hotels in the same price range; there's plenty of space to walk even with two large suitcases. The bathroom size is standard as well. The downside is that the bathroom fixtures are quite old, and the shower is difficult to use. However, I was aware of this beforehand, so I was prepared, and given the other advantages, it's acceptable. The bedding is good, and the sofa is quite comfortable. Among the toiletries, only the shampoo, shower gel, and toothbrush weren't great; everything else was fine. The room has a kettle and comes with tea and coffee packets. There's also a water dispenser in the hallway where you can get iced or room temperature water. The hotel breakfast is decent, on par with business hotels in China. However, the service is excellent; they diligently restock drinks and food even at the last minute, even if there are only a few people dining. There are washing machines and dryers on the fourth floor, each costing 5 SGD, and you can get change for coins at the front desk. The commercial machines work very well; the dryer gets clothes completely dry in 40 minutes. There are also ironing facilities in the room. Overall, I recommend this hotel. If you have a higher budget, you might look elsewhere, but if you're looking for great value for money at this price point, you should definitely consider it.

Because of the Home Improvement Programme, my daughter & I decided to stay here. We enjoyed our stay. Getting halal food was not an issue for us. Going to the Sultan Mosque was just a walk away. Amenities in the hotel are good except that there is no bidet spray available in the toilet. A special mention to one of the cleaners, Mr Raihan, he did a good job in maintaining the cleanliness of the room. He provided me with my requests for extra floor towels, toilet papers, etc. I managed to see him during his cleaning duty before my check out and thanked him. Overall my stay together with my daughter had been a pleasant one. Will definitely recommend the Serviced Suite to friends.

I stayed at PARKROYAL COLLECTION Marina Bay during a solo business trip to Singapore, mainly because I had meetings near Marina Bay Sands. The hotel checked many boxes for me, especially its convenient location, Halal certified breakfast buffet and walking distance access to train stations. The reception area on Level 4 immediately left a strong impression. The interior is beautiful and filled with greenery, somewhat reminding me of Gardens by the Bay. It feels modern, relaxing and very photogenic / Instagrammable at the same time. I appreciated the convenience of online check in and check out. During check in, I was assisted by Yarik, who was extremely friendly and welcoming. He thoughtfully gave me a room facing Marina Bay Sands, which I truly appreciated. Thank you again, Yarik. The room itself was spacious for a solo traveller. Everything was very clean, and I really enjoyed the bathtub and toiletries provided. Another thing I loved was the coffee selection in the room. There were different coffee strengths available, from mild to very strong, which was perfect for someone like me who enjoys coffee a lot. I visited the hotel gym as well. It is not huge, but good enough for a basic workout. Since I am an Anytime Fitness (AF) member, I also walked to the nearby Suntec City AF branch, which was very convenient from the hotel. The location is excellent. Promenade MRT Station and Esplanade MRT Station are both within about five minutes’ walk, and the Merlion Park area is nearby too, making it easy for me to go jogging. Breakfast was fantastic with many choices. I especially loved the blended juice with ginger and cinnamon. On checkout day, although my late checkout request was initially declined by Lydia at the reception counter because the hotel was full, the team later managed to accommodate my request after I explained my situation. Thanks as well to Yi Quan for assisting during checkout. Overall, this hotel was amazing. I genuinely enjoyed the stay, especially the thoughtful service and the Halal certified breakfast buffet.

For Singapore-based Trip.com users who travel often, the Citi Prestige Card can absolutely be worth the annual fee — but only if you fully use the perks.

If you:
