Author's Profile Picture
Citi Prestige Card.

If you’re a frequent traveller booking flights and hotels on Trip.com, the Citi Prestige Card is one of the premium cards you’ve probably come across.

It promises strong miles earned rates, unlimited lounge access, and luxury hotel perks but does it really deliver value for Singapore-based travellers?

Here’s a clear, human-friendly guide to help you decide.

Why the Citi Prestige Card Stands Out

Prestige Card Benefits Flat-Lay

The Citi Prestige Card sits firmly in the premium travel credit card category in Singapore. It’s designed for travellers who fly often, stay in hotels regularly, and want comfort along the way.

What makes it appealing:

  • Solid miles earn on foreign currency spend
  • Unlimited airport lounge access
  • Complimentary airport limo transfers
  • Luxury hotel benefits
  • Strong travel insurance coverage

For Trip.com users who frequently book overseas trips, these perks can add up quickly.

Key Benefits for Singapore Travellers

Prestige card benefits.

Generous Miles Earn Rates

The Citi Prestige Card earns Citi ThankYou Points that convert to KrisFlyer miles and other airline partners.

Typical earn rates:

  • Local spend: ~1.3 miles per S$1
  • Overseas spend: ~2 miles per S$1
  • Online travel bookings: often higher during promos

💡 Why it matters: If you often book flights or hotels on Trip.com in foreign currency, the overseas earn rate is where this card really shines.

Unlimited Airport Lounge Access

One of the biggest selling points is the Priority Pass membership.

With the Citi Prestige Card, you get:

  • Unlimited Priority Pass visits for the principal cardholder
  • Complimentary guest visits (subject to current terms)
  • Access to 1,000+ lounges worldwide

Perfect if you frequently depart from Singapore Changi Airport or transit through major hubs.

🚨Traveller tip: Even budget airline trips feel more comfortable when you can shower, eat, and relax before boarding.

Complimentary Airport Limousine Rides

Frequent flyers from Singapore love this perk.

You can enjoy complimentary airport limo transfers when you meet the minimum spend requirement each quarter.

Why this is useful:

  • Saves on Grab or taxi costs
  • Great for late-night arrivals
  • Adds a premium travel feel

For regular Trip.com bookers, hitting the spend threshold is usually achievable.

4th Night Free Hotel Benefit

This is one of the most unique perks of the Citi Prestige Card.

When you book hotels through Citi’s concierge:

  • Pay for 4 nights
  • Get the 4th night free (before taxes/fees)

Best use case:

  • City stays (Tokyo, Seoul, London)
  • Resort vacations
  • Longer leisure trips

⚠️ Note: This benefit requires booking through Citi’s designated channel, not directly via Trip.com — so compare prices before deciding.

Comprehensive Travel Insurance

Charge your travel tickets to the Citi Prestige Card and you’ll get complimentary travel insurance coverage.

Coverage typically includes:

  • Flight delay
  • Lost luggage
  • Trip cancellation
  • Overseas medical expenses

For frequent travellers, this adds useful peace of mind.

💡 Pro Tip: Book your hotel early, especially during weekends or festivals. Prices rise fast, and early bookings on Trip.com often come with extra discounts.

Fees You Should Know

Premium perks come with a premium annual fee.

Typical costs (Singapore):

  • Annual fee: around S$545 (incl. GST)
  • Income requirement: usually high (premium segment)
  • FX fees: still apply on overseas spend

💡 Reality check: This card makes the most sense if you actually use the lounge visits, limo rides, and miles earn.

How to Maximise the Citi Prestige Card on Trip.com

If you’re booking regularly on Trip.com, here’s how to get the most value.

Smart strategies

1. Use it for foreign currency bookings
This is where the miles earn rate is strongest.

2. Time your big travel purchases
Hit the limo transfer minimum spend more easily.

3. Pair with KrisFlyer redemptions
Transfer ThankYou Points strategically for better flight value.

4. Compare hotel prices
Sometimes the 4th night free beats OTA pricing but sometimes it doesn’t.

💡 Pro Tip: Stay connected during your trip with an eSIM for easy mobile data and navigation without hassle.

Got a nice view! I booked this room for my parents to stay whilst vacationing for holidays. The hotel location is conveniently situated in the city. Walking distance to Tanjong Pagar MRT, Lau La Sat and a lot of other hawker areas. If want to walk further, Merlion Park and MBS can be reached as well. Having said that, it was a convenient trip back to hotel after spending the countdown at the Lawn. Since my parents are both seniors and not so familiar in Singapore, these conveniences brought by the hotel was really worth the money. We got a discount for each person for breakfast when I decided to add it upon check-in because I didn’t booked the room with breakfast originally, so it’s another win. The room is spacious with a big sofa. The kitchen is also well equipped. The toilet is clean with bidet, and the toiletries feels luxurious too! My parents got a really pleasant stay!

The location is super convenient. It's just a 3-minute walk to bus stops for routes 80 and 145, which get you to VivoCity in 10 minutes. These buses also provide easy and quick access to popular attractions like Clarke Quay, the National Gallery Singapore, and Merlion Park. Right across from the hotel, there's a FairPrice supermarket, and next to it is the Tanjong Pagar Food Centre. There's also a food mall right beside the hotel with a Ya Kun Kaya Toast outlet. Maxwell Food Centre and the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple are both just a 10-minute walk away. Getting around and finding places to eat are incredibly easy. Highly recommend staying here!

Extremely satisfied! The environment is great, and the hygiene is impeccable. The service is also excellent, and the views are beautiful. It's super convenient as the subway station is right outside, and there's a bus stop too. I especially love the hotel's ambiance. The room even has a pot and an induction cooker, which is really handy for cooking your own meals.

The location is super convenient! Directly across the street, the mall's basement has the 'City Hall' MRT station, which connects to two lines. The hotel room was quite spacious, and the view was really open. The room we were assigned overlooked Chijmes, and the scenery in the early morning and at dusk was absolutely beautiful. The hotel's swimming pool and gym facilities were also excellent.

The room isn't big, and the facilities aren't new either; it has a rather strong 'influencer aesthetic.' However, the upside is the excellent pool view, and the executive lounge maintains a high standard. During happy hour in the evening, the chef, a young Chinese man, made delicious pan-fried shrimp and scallops with olive oil, and the service was very patient. Honestly, you don't really get a sense of the forest from the room, so don't bother coming specifically for that.

Having stayed at this Singapore hotel for two consecutive Chinese New Year holidays, what stands out most is the exceptionally warm and friendly staff—especially Gladys, Iman, and Amanda. Each visit has been met with such thoughtful hospitality that I truly felt at home. The rooms are quite spacious by Singapore standards, well-appointed with modern amenities, and impeccably clean. The TWG tea, a lovely local touch, is a delightful bonus. My absolute favorite, however, is the Executive Lounge. It offers an impressive variety of breakfast, dinner, and snacks daily. As someone with a selective palate, I was pleasantly surprised to find everything from smoked salmon, fresh fruit, high-quality proteins, and whole-grain bread to local Nanyang specialties—all available, and the menu changes daily. To dine so well while traveling has been a wonderful surprise. This hotel has undoubtedly become my first choice in Singapore. My sincere thanks again to the entire team for their exceptional care. Wishing you continued success.

Overall, it offered a comfortable and practical base in the city. From the moment I arrived, the vibe felt youthful and community-focused—very much aligned with lyf’s co-living concept, with shared spaces designed for socialising and relaxing. One of my favourite parts of the property was the bar located right next to the front desk. It had a great vibe—casual, lively, and inviting. It made the lobby area feel more like a social hub than a typical hotel reception. Whether you’re grabbing a drink in the evening or just passing through, it adds a fun, energetic atmosphere to the stay. The room itself was generally clean and functional. The layout is compact but thoughtfully arranged, making good use of space without feeling overly cramped. The bedding felt fresh, and the overall housekeeping standard was decent. That said, there were a few noticeable signs of wear and tear. Some areas of the walls had visible mould spots, and certain finishes felt a little dated, which slightly detracted from the modern aesthetic the brand aims for. One thing that really caught me off guard was the in-room safe. It was located under the bed and wasn’t properly closed when I checked in. Because it sits low and slightly hidden, I accidentally bumped my leg into it quite hard—which definitely wasn’t pleasant. It’s a small detail, but something that could be improved with better checks during room preparation. In terms of amenities, basics like slippers and toothbrushes are available, but they’re not automatically placed in the room. You’ll need to request them from the front desk if you need them, which is good to know in advance.

so far i stayed here, the service was good, the room not too clean and the room quite small. they didn’t provide iron & iron board, but you need to go downstairs at level 4 to iron your clothes. they also have a self service laundry at the level 4. the hotel is near to the mrt station (lavender station) and the attraction places. and also, it is easy to get halal food. for those who have a budget for your trip, i’ll recommend to stay at this hotel 👍🏻

I had a wonderful short solo stay at Pan Pacific Singapore. From the moment I arrived, the service was warm, professional, and very efficient, which made the entire experience smooth and stress-free. The room was spacious, clean, and well-maintained, with a beautiful city view that made my stay even more enjoyable. I especially appreciated the comfortable bed and the quiet atmosphere—perfect for a solo traveler looking to relax and recharge. The hotel’s location is excellent, with easy access to nearby shopping malls, restaurants, and public transport. It was very convenient to get around and explore the city. Facilities were also impressive. The pool area was peaceful and well-kept, providing a nice escape from the busy city. Overall, everything was thoughtfully managed and exceeded my expectations. I would definitely recommend Pan Pacific Singapore for both solo travelers and anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient stay in Singapore. I look forward to coming back again!

Housed in a century-old historic building, this hotel boasts a prime downtown location and an air of old-money elegance. The rooms are grand and comfortable, and the service is exceptionally high-quality. Breakfast is quite good; while the variety might not be as extensive as some five-star hotels back home, the quality of everything is superb. The freshly made laksa noodles and omelets were excellent, and the juices were freshly squeezed. In the room, they provided a complimentary folding fan and tickets to the Asian Civilisations Museum and the Peranakan Museum. If you have time, both museums are well worth a visit. I didn't know about the complimentary tickets beforehand and had already bought my own ticket to the Asian Civilisations Museum. The outdoor pool on the second floor offers fantastic views; even if you don't swim, I recommend going in the evening to enjoy the scenery and take some photos.

It is a hotel with very convenient transportation. Travel connectivity in all forms. The hotel is located in a shopping mall with a restaurant. Pharmacies, department stores. Once you check in, the impression begins immediately. Friendly staff, all the help. I am very impressed for my next trip to Singapore. I definitely didn't miss coming back to stay here.

This hotel boasts a fantastic design, with the entire building covered in lush greenery, which is incredibly refreshing to see. The staff provides excellent service, very warm and genuine. The room size is quite generous for its price range, easily accommodating two large suitcases. It's also very close to the Tozai Line subway entrance, making it super convenient to get here from the airport.

Well serviced oasis in the heart of Singapore. Had a room overlooking the Fountain of Wealth with a balcony. Room was large with great bathroom and full amenities. LOVED the pool and bar service, the views are so good. We ate at Ruth Chris Steak House and can’t recommend enough. Special shout out to Yazir, who took my bags very quickly when I was struggling and organised storage from the elevators rather than lugging them to reception. So kind!

We could not use the machine for self check-in because their system could not find our booking on trip.com, so a staff member had to manually check in for us. Excellent facilities - they provided lots of trolleys for luggages near the front door/reception area, which I think were quite thoughtful. Our kids used the playground a lot. Would love to use the swimming pool but our room (Studio Queen and Single) was quite small (especially the bathoom) to hang our swim clothes to dry. Coat hangers were provided in the room which could be used to hang swimclothes on to airdry, but with the humidity in Singapore, it would take about 2 days to completely dry. In the middle of our stay, we found a dead cockroach on the bed (first photo) while clearing stuff to prep the room for daily room service/cleaning. We left it there for the cleaner to handle it, but when we came back at night, the dead cockroach was still in the room (and moved to a different spot this time - second photo), so we cleaned it ourselves. Not that we are nitpicking, but since the room was small, we had to organise our things around every nook and cranny of the room, and I found the wall under the table near the floor quite dirty.

This is our second time staying with Msocial hotel, and we got the loft room! Staff members are pleasant and courteous. Nice amenities, including a gym and pool. The room is not particularly spacious, but we appreciate the atmosphere and the room's unique design. Recommended for someone who like the Robertson's Quay neighbourhood 😊

Who Should Get the Citi Prestige Card?

Citi Prestige Audience

👍 Good fit for:

  • Frequent international travellers
  • Trip.com power users
  • Lounge lovers
  • People who value airport limo perks
  • High annual spenders

👎 Not ideal for:

  • Occasional travellers
  • Miles beginners
  • Budget-focused card users
  • People who won’t use lounges

Final Verdict: Is It Worth It?

For Singapore-based Trip.com users who travel often, the Citi Prestige Card can absolutely be worth the annual fee — but only if you fully use the perks.

If you:

  • Fly several times a year
  • Value lounge comfort
  • Spend regularly in foreign currency
  • Can utilise the limo and hotel benefits

If your travel is more occasional, a mid-tier miles card may give you better bang for your annual fee.
